Services for Sally B. Saulter, 91, formerly of Parksville will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home by the Rev. Everhart Walker. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
She died Thursday at Liberty Health Care Center
Born July 17, 1909, in Parksville, she was a daughter of the late William and Rhodia Bruce. She was a homemaker and a member of Wilson Chapel AME Church and Warren Methodist Church in Toledo. She was the widow of Henry Saulter.
Survivors include a sister, Agnes Bruce of Liberty.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hughes, Terry and Larry Bruce, Raymond Houston Jr., John Harris and Willie Allen.
Visitation is noon Tuesday until time of service.

John Hamner
Services for John "Ted" Hamner, 92, of Russell Street, Junction City, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Junction City Baptist Church by the Revs. Ernest Martin and Earl Burnside. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. He was a Junction City grocer.
He died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Pallbearers will be Joe Chance, Hudson Belcher, David Horne, Irvin Worthington, Thomas Burger, Harold Leach and David Ferrell. Honorary pallbearers are John Scott and members of the Men's Sunday School class at Junction City Baptist Church.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home and 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the church. A Masonic service will be 7:30 p.m. by Franklin Lodge 28.

Ruby Ashford
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Ruby Ashford, 83, of North Main Street will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harrodsburg United Methodist Church by the Revs. Jim Owens and David Ross. Burial will be in Spring Hills Cemetery.
She died Saturday at her home of an apparent heart attack.
Born July 28, 1916, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Susie Beckham Marksbury. She was a member of Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, the Doris Davis Circle and Yates-Spillman Sunday School Class. She also was the pianist and Sunday School teacher at Joseph Chapel United Methodist Church for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Garnett Ashford; two sons, Marvin Ashford of Harrodsburg and Charles Ashford of Lexington; two daughters, Becky Tyler of Louisville and Joyce Gash of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Mary Alice Woods and Vernetta Wade, both of Harrodsburg; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Sue Ashford.
Pallbearers will be Bruce, Thomas, Allen, Brian and David Ashford and Steve Tyler.
Honorary pallbearers are Jamie and Ashley Gash, Beth Rose, Susan Tyler, Kathy Young, and members of the Yates-Spillman Sunday School class.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

Elmer B. Lucas
LANCASTER -- Services for Elmer B. Lucas, 76, formerly of Lancaster, were today at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Billy Rhodus and Barry Jeffries and Jim Gaskin. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery.
He died Tuesday in Pittsburg, Kan., following a long illness.
Born Dec. 24, 1923, in Arabia, Ky., he was a son of the late William J. and Myrtle Lake Carter Lucas. He was a local country music performer, having performed for almost 30 years at Renfro Valley. He also was an auto body repairman for Wade Motor Co. and Powell Hester Ford, and later as a private businessman. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was the widower of Eunice Brewer Lucas.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Lucas of Lancaster, and Joe Lucas of Alexandria, Va.; a daughter, Diana Redfern of Pittsburg, Kansas; a brother, Jimmy Lucas of Lancaster; five sisters, Ruby Knippenburg of Detroit, Mich., Barbara Gardner of Scottsburg, Ind., and Marcella Wilcher, Jean Derry and Martha Dennis, all of Lincoln County; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

John Hamner
John "Ted" Hamner, 92, of Russell Street, Junction City, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 14, 1908, in Junction City, he was a son of the late Oscar and Cora Clem Hamner. A former baker at Junction City Bakery, a carpenter and a farmer, he was also a former chaplain at Harvey McGuire and Franklin Lodges. He was the widower of Christine Prewitt Hamner.
Survivors include a son, Larry Hamner of Junction City; a daughter, Joyce Mattingly of Fern Creek; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A Masonic Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Franklin Lodge #28 in Danville.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Junction City Baptist Church by the Revs. Ernest Martin and Earl Burnside. Burial will follow at the Junction City Cemetery.

HARRODSBURG -- Josephine Kate Bast Brewer, 70, of Bondville Road, Salvisa, died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 19, 1930, in Salvisa, she was the daughter of Della Mae Holt and the late Horris Elmore Bast.
She had been a waitress and was a member of Full Gospel Assembly of God in Anderson County.

Brewer of Salvisa; eight brothers, Marvin and Ronnie Bast, both of western Kentucky, Alvin, Larry and Ricky Bast and Tommy Taylor, all of Lawrenceburg, Aubrey Bast and Johnny Taylor, both of Salvisa; four sisters, Opal Hawkins of Salvisa, Shirley Blackwell of Lawrenceburg, Dora Mae Burris of Frankfort and Bessie Mae Decker of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

SCIENCE HILL -- Wanda Louise "Polly" Carman Estes, 64, of Pond School Road, Kings Mountain, died Saturday at Charleston Health Care.
Born June 10, 1936, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Roy L. and Mary Clements Carman. She was a homemaker.

Clyde B. Abbott
Services for Clyde Bailey Abbott, 79, of Lancaster Road will be 2 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home by the Revs. James Michael Hatfield and Barry Harmon.
Abbott died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 14, 1920, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Minnie Gwinn Abbott. He was a charter member and a board member of the Kentucky Walking Horse Association. He was an accredited walking horse judge and was an owner and trainer of walking horses for 30 years. He was also a retired railroad engineer and was a member of Junction City Baptist Church. He was the widower of Charlotte Reed Abbott.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Carol Milburn of Henderson; a companion, Betty Sims of Danville; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Walter Bruner, Bob McQuary, Gary Diver, Elmo Wardlow, Donny May, Warren Wash, Don Cooper and Lee Arnold.
