Ruth Hall, 85, of Bardstown, died Jan. 5, 2012.
She is survived by five sons, John Hall, Joe Pat Hall, Tim Hall, Tommy Hall and Kenny Hall; and three daughters, Phyllis Barth, Jackie Newcomb and Margie Westenhofer.
Her memorial service was held at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown.

Dora “Elizabeth” Raikes, 91, of Hodgenville, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012.
She is survived by two children, Larry D. Raikes and Beverly Akermon.
The funeral is at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
Visitation is after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Joseph Kenneth 'Kenny' DeMar, 79
Joseph Kenneth “Kenny” DeMar, 79, of New Haven, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at his residence.
He was a member of the St. Catherine of Alexanderia Catholic Church in New Haven. He was born Oct. 16, 1932, in New Haven, the son of the late James William and Mary Alice Mattingly DeMar. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retired from American Greetings with 20 years of service, worked for 25 years at Bird & Son in Bardstown and worked several years with Seagrams Distillers.
Dorothy Marie 'Sissy' Brammer, 46
Dorothy Marie “Sissy” Brammer, 46, of New Haven, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown. She was born Aug. 7, 1965, in Louisville. She was a cook and waitress before becoming disabled.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Brammer; her stepfather, Ricky Lanham; a twin brother, Michael Edward Brammer; her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary Jackson Brammer; and her maternal grandparents, William Thomas and Minnie Lee Newton Brady.

Amber Witten Thurman, 47, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012.
She was the principal at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, a member of the LaRue County Church of Christ, and the LaRue County Band Boosters.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Ruth Witten Weiland; her father, Charles H. Witten; and a sister, Peggy Thompson.

Verner B. Skaggs, 80, of Shepherdsville, died Jan. 5, 2012, at his residence.
He was a retired farmer and construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Hallie Skaggs and two brothers, Herbert and Harry Skaggs.

Mae Alice Vandiver Vittitow, 93, of Boston, died Dec. 28, 2011.
She is survived by a niece, Ruth Hatler.
The funeral was Dec. 31, 2011, at Boston Christian Church in Boston. Burial was in Little Brick Cemetery in Boston.

Alton Lee "Latch" Benningfield, 71, of Summersville, died Dec. 31, 2011.
He was a farmer, and attended The Church of God in Magnolia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hartford Lee and Beatrice Vance Benningfield, and three brothers, J.G. "Bunt" Benningfield, Hugh Ray Benningfield, and Jim Benningfield.

Kristie Lynne Allen, 28, of Buffalo, passed away Dec. 30, 2011, at the home of a friend in Buffalo.
She was a member of Roanoke House of Prayer Church in Hodgenville. She most recently worked for Zappos in Shepherdsville. She was born Aug. 27, 1983.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, J.H. Allen and her maternal grandparents, James and Margie Marie Burks Constant.

Jed Robert “Bobby” Wilkins, 73, of Hodgenville, passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Jesse Lee Allen, 70
Jesse Lee Allen, 70, of Buffalo, died August 4, 2004, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was a retired State Plumbing Inspector, a farmer, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, a member of Sportsman Lake Club and past president of the TPA.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Allen and his stepfather, Colby Wayne Kessler.
He is survived by his wife, Earnestine Blankenship Allen; a daughter, Melinda Orrentence Skaggs of Memphis, Tenn.; a son, Stephen Lee Allen of Clarksville, Tenn.; his mother, Beatrice Skaggs Allen Kessler of Buffalo; four grandchildren; a stepsister, Marilyn Prewitt of Greensburg; and two stepbrothers, Donald Kessler of Franklin and Harry Kessler of Greensburg.
Funeral services were held Aug. 7, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Skaggs officiating. Burial followed in Orr Cemetery.
Anna Marie ‘Ann’ Goebel Barnes, 56
Anna Marie “Ann” Goebel Barnes, 56, of Boston, died August 2, 2004, in Bardstown at the home of her daughter.
She was a native of Louisville, a member of Faith Assembly of God Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Juanita Jones Goebel.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Paul Barnes; a daughter, Paula A. Ritchie of Bardstown; her father, George Goebel of Marengo, Ind.; two granddaughters; two brothers, Charles Goebel of Marengo, Ind., and Glenn Goebel of Elkton; three sisters, Juanita Fields of Bedford, Ind., Naomi Deal of Marengo, Ind., and Doris Grunden of Worthington, Ind.
Memorial services were held Aug. 7, at Faith Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mike Rodgers officiating.
William R. Rust Funeral Home, Boston Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
Mary Jaggers Bennett, 89
Mary Jaggers Bennett, 89, of Buffalo, died August 2, 2004, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
She was a housewife and a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Bennett; her parents, Thomas Jackson and Beadie Watkins Jaggers; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Katzman; and a brother, Burrell Jaggers.
She is survived by three daughters, Naomi McCubbin and Imogene Dedman, both of Louisville, and Doyce Stith of Hodgenville; a half sister, Anna Florence Clark of Peewee Valley; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 5, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home with Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial followed in Red Hill Cemetery.
