Sallie M. Wimsatt, 90
Sallie M. Wimsatt, 90, of Louisville, formerly of LaRue County, died, Dec. 17, 2005 in Louisville.
She is survived by her husband, George H. Wimsatt; a son; and two daughters.
Funeral services were held Dec. 20 at W.G. Hardy, Valley Chapel Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial followed in Bethany Cemetery.
Anita Holt, 44
Anita Holt, 44, of Bardstown died Dec. 19, 2005, at University Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Hardin County, she was a registered nurse formerly employed at Colonial House and Life Care Center and Federal Hill Manor in Bardstown, and Drs. Bruce Wolf and K. John Yun in Elizabethtown.
She was a member of Rolling Fork Baptist Church in Nelson County.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Buford “R.B.” Holt.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Sue Crady Holt of Lyons Station; one sister, Robin Vittitow of Hodgenville; three brothers, Michael Holt of Hodgenville, Chris Holt and Tony Holt, both of Lyons Station; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Rolling Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Nichols officiating. Visitation is today from 3-8 p.m. and tomorrow from 8-10:30 a.m. at Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.
Mildred Brewer, 79
Mildred Brewer, 79, of Hodgenville, passed away Jan. 18, 2006, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
She was a housewife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas H. and Ida L. Caulk Allen; and four brothers, Ralph, Cephas, Curtis and Donald Allen.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Brewer of Hodgenville; a daughter, Dianne Perkins of Hodgenville; a grandson, Bradley Perkins; two great-grandsons, B.J. and Ben; four brothers, J.H., Franklin, Chesley Allen, of Hodgenville, and Harold Allen of Shelbyville; and three sisters, Lucille Salazar and Nancy Lee of Hodgenville and Joyce Hensley of Hanover, Penn.
Visitation is Jan. 20, after 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. at Billy Howell Funeral Chapel in Hodgenville.
Charles Robert Lee, 72
Charles Robert Lee, 72, of Hodgenville passed away Jan. 17, 2006, at Hardin Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He served his country in the Army in the mid 1950’s. He loved farming and raising cattle. He built his home in 1969 and several other barns etc., around LaRue County. He worked at Bourbon Stock Yards in the early 1960’s, then he owned Lee Auto Parts and Garage in Hodgenville until 1978. In 1975 he built Lee’s Custom Slaughter, which he retired from in 1999 after 25 years. He loved fishing, hunting and woodworking, but the most important things in his life were his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Nellie Sprowles Lee; and three brothers, Walter Lee, Al Lee and Henry Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years; Joyce Easton Lee; a daughter, Sharon (Larry) Allen of Buffalo; two sons, Charles Murray Lee and Michael David Lee, both of Hodgenville; two sisters, Laverne Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio, Thelma Mitchell of Louisville; three grandchildren, Christy (Ethan) Ferguson, Tiffany Lee and Christopher Allen; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Haley and Gavin Ferguson; a special Uncle Joel Ray Sprowles; a special nephew, Bob Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Jan. 19, 2006 at Billy Howell Funeral Chapel in Hodgenville with the Revs. Gordon McDowell and Rodney Troutman officiating. Music was provided by Ronnie Benningfield.
Burial followed in Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo.
Nova Lee Oakes, 74
Nova Lee Oakes, 74, of Summersville died Jan. 17, 2006, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clell Skaggs and Thomas W. Oakes; a son, Miles Coleman Skaggs; her parents, Lee and Larie Carter Cundiff; two sisters, Dixie Calhoun and Mary Warren; and a brother, John Cundiff.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Slider of Missouri, Norma Skaggs of Hodgenville, and Barbara Cundiff of Summersville; four sons, James Skaggs of Campbellsville, Gary Skaggs of Hudgins, Willie Skaggs of Summersville, and Eddie C. Skaggs of Buffalo; two sisters, Hazel Johnson of Hodgenville and Erma Catherine Perkins of Summersville; two brothers, Gene Cundiff of Louisville and Junior Cundiff of Campbellsville; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
There will be no services as the body was cremated.

Raymond D. Catlett, 94, of Indianapolis, formerly of LaRue County, died Jan. 21, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Catlett; a daughter; and a son.

Lucille Blevens Cobb, 89, of Magnolia, died Jan, 28, 2006 at Westminster Terrace in Louisville.
She was a retired factory worker and farmer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Cobb; a sister, Edna Chamberlain; and two brothers, Lee Blevens and W.C. Blevens.
She is survived by five sisters, Mary Butler of Simpsonville, Mable Murray of Hodgenville, Margie Reynolds of Louisville, Katie Bowlds of Michigan and Marie Tucker of LaGrange; a brother, Alfred Blevens of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Knoxes Creek Cemetery in Linwood.
Visitation will begin Jan. 31, after 10 a.m. at the funeral home until time for services.

Robert Pearl Coyer, 67, of Mt. Sherman, died Jan. 26, 2006.
He is survived by two daughters.
