Born Sept. 6, 1924, in Gilpin, she was a daughter of Dewey McDonald of Liberty and the late Ritty Hopper McDonald. She was a retired teacher and a correspondent for The Casey County News. She was a member of Athens Church of Christ and the widow of Russell Simpson. She also was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Lee Simpson; and her stepmother, Rosa Mae Hatter McDonald.

Juanita Teater
LANCASTER -- Services for Juanita Simpson Teater, 91, a local businesswoman of Danville Road, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Jerry Browning and William J. Arvin. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Monday at her home.
She was a retired businesswoman. She was co-owner of Hill Top Farms in Garrard County and former co-owner of the Garrard County Stockyards and Peoples Tobacco Warehouses of Somerset. She also was a housewife.
Born April 17, 1909, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late O.K. and Jennie Bogie Simpson. She was the widow of J.L. Teater and was the oldest member of Antioch Christian Church.
Survivors include a son, William Kirby Teater of Lancaster; a brother, Harold "Blake" Dietrich of Lancaster; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Ray, Tim Davis, George Preston, Johnson Price, Woodie Leavell, E.J. Hasty, Kevin Middleton and Keith Middleton.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Banie Litchfield
Banie Litchfield, 98, of Danville Centre For Health and Rehabilitation died there Monday.
Born April 27, 1902, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Elena Ryan Wall. She was the widow of Nobert J. Litchfield. She was a retired bookkeeper and clerk, and a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church, Cincinnati.
Survivors include a sister, Estelle Pruitt of Danville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alta Mae Randolph.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at McKinney Cemetery by the Rev. Caroline Bloomfield.
Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

He died Saturday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lexington.
Born Jan 3, 1920, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late George N. and Sarah E. "Sally" Yocum Campbell. He was a retired farmer and former owner of Campbell Salvage in Moreland. He was a world War II veteran, having received a Purple Heart.
Survivors include a son, Paul Campbell of Stanford; a brother, Ralph Campbell-Baker of Versailles; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Campbell.
Pallbearers will be C.J. Lane, George Powell, Ashley Powell, Derek Tharp, Dave Davis and Darren Campbell.

Born May 21, 1912, in Cabell County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Nellie Guinn Harshbarger. She was a homemaker and former owner of the General Store in Eubank. She also worked for McKinney's Grocery and was a member of Eubank Baptist Church. She was the widow of Paul Boyd.
Survivors include two sisters, Leona Grisham of Norwood, Ohio, and Anna L. Jones of Stanford; a granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Orlena B. Rigney.
Pallbearers will be Mark Rowe, Brandon Curlis, Greg Hill and Paul Todd.

Born Nov. 28, 1918, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Elsie Aldridge Dunn. She was the widow of John H. "Jack" Doty.

Doty Sr. of Lexington; three daughters, Jacqueline Lawson of Lexington, Beverly Richardson of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Jerri Doty-Williams of Lancaster; a brother, Cecil Dunn of Lancaster; two sisters, Elizabeth Dabney of Lexington, and Helen Langford of Kansas City, Miss.; caregivers, Mary Green and Adrienne Blackburn; and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David and Jeffrey Dabney, Terry Rodney, Wilbur and Ernest Dunn. Honorary pallbearers are William Doty Jr., Jonathan Mays, Jhamal Williams and Brian Bender.

SCIENCE HILL -- John "Big John" Blanton, 63, of Eubank died Sunday at Jewish Hospital.
Born Oct. 12, 1936, in Knox County, he was a son of the late John C. and Elsie Chadwell Blanton. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Ballou Blanton; a son, Anthony Blanton of Eubank; a daughter, Teresa J.
