William F. "Billy" Dunn of Hodgenville
William F. "Billy" Dunn, age 76 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, August 22, 2016 at his residence.
He was a lifelong farmer, member of Union Christian Church, former employee of Southern States in Hodgenville, member of the LaRue County Pork Producers and the LaRue County Cattleman's Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Dunn, his parents, Roy and Carrie Wilkins Dunn, a sister, Gonda McCubbin and a brother, Ronald Dunn.
He is survived by a daughter, Connie Sue (Glenn) Milby of Summersville, a sister, Betty Hornback of Hodgenville, a grandson, Jeffrey (Carlee) Milby of Knifley and three great-grandchildren, Memphis Milby, Chesney Milby and Raelee Milby.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday and after 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
William "Bill" Otto Williams, Jr. of Hodgenville
William "Bill" Otto Williams, Jr., age 67 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown.
He was a retired maintenance mechanic for Dow Corning Corporation after 32 years of service and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Otto Williams, Sr. and a brother, Steve Williams.
He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, Debbie Fultz Williams, a daughter, Hanna (LaDean) Williams of Hodgenville, a son, Jeff (Addie) Williams of Jeffersonville, Indiana, his mother, Patricia Williams of Elizabethtown, two sisters, Carol (Frank) Fowler and Patty Durbin both of Elizabethtown, a brother, Ronnie (Julie) Williams of Elizabethtown, two grandchildren, Naomi Williams and Ian Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday and after 9 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
Dane Pickerell of Hodgenville
Dane R. Pickerell, age 60, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a member and deacon at Steadfast Baptist Church; a truck driver for Southern States in Hodgenville and an avid tractor puller, driving "Burnin' Cash"
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mabel Warren Pickerell.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Pickerell; a son, Nick (Jessica) Pickerell of Hodgenville; a granddaughter, Ella Bain Pickerell and a brother, Greg Pickerell of Hodgenville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, August, 23, 2016, at the Steadfast Baptist Church, 170 Strange Road, Hodgenville, with Rev. Rodney Troutman officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation will begin after 2:30 PM, Monday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville and after 10 AM, Tuesday at the church.
Connie Catherine Pruitt of Hodgenville
Connie Catherine Pruitt, age 92, of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was a housewife and a member of the Benningfield Chapel near Mt. Sherman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Pruitt; her parents, Fielding and Maggie Pottinger Slayton; four brothers, Willie, Gilbert, James and Johnny Slayton.
She is survived by four daughters, Maggie Sparks of Hodgenville, Shirley (Gary) Bland of Buffalo, Lavern (Fielding) Eads of Cox's Creek, Pauline (Lee) Holsman of Booneville, MS; five sons, Otis "Odie" (Gina) Pruitt of Campbellsville, George (Phyllis) Pruitt of Magnolia, Shelby (Josie) Pruitt of Mt. Washington, Johnny (Brenda) Pruitt and LeRoy Pruitt all of Louisville; three sisters, Dorothy Frank and Martha Skaggs both of Buffalo and Mary Staten of Bullitt County; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 6, 2008, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Magnolia.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday and after 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Raymond Read of Magnolia
RAYMOND LEIGH READ, SR., age 83, of Magnolia, passed away Monday, December 8, 2008, at his residence.
He was a member of the Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he was ordained as an elder in 1954, a lifetime farmer, a 25 year member of the Hodgenville Gideon Camp, a 1944 graduate of Magnolia High School, member of the LaRue County Beef Cattle Association and a Master Pastureman Award Recipient.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis R. Read and Carrie Ragland Read Bennett and a brother-in-law, Gleason McCubbin.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Winnie Read; five sons, Ray V. Read and his wife, Ginger of Oklahoma, Randy J. Read and his wife, Natalie of Elizabethtown, Ronnie D. Read and his wife, Melanie of Magnolia, R.L. Read, Jr. and his wife, Pam of Hodgenville and Rex A. Read and his wife, Martha of Sonora; a sister, Anna Mae McCubbin of Elizabethtown; a brother, Charles E. Read and his wife, Marilyn of Hodgenville, 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, December 12, 2008, at the Magnolia Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Anthony Harris, Rev. Freddie Norris and Rev. Bill Macy officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 2:00 PM Thursday at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia.

Edith Kidd Beams of Munfordville
EDITH KIDD BEAMS, age 85, of Munfordville, passed away, Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at her residence.
She was a member of the Knoxes Creek Baptist Church in Linwood, and was retired from Nationwide Uniforms in Hodgenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Kidd, her parents, Lonnie and Lucy Gardner Dennison, a brother, William Dennison, and a step-son, Randall Beams.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Cook of Munfordville, two sons, Ron Kidd and his wife, Sharon of Louisville, and Michael Kidd and his wife, Bonnie of Magnolia, a step-daughter, Lena Speed of Louisville, four grandchildren, Kendall (Linda) Cook, Crystal (Chris) Sims, Scott (Emilie) Kidd, and April (Jamie) Hines, and six great-grandchildren, Courtney Cook, Caity Cook, Campbell Sims, Chase Hines, Haley Hines, and Austin Kidd.

Pauline Ragland of Magnolia
PAULINE McCLAIN RAGLAND, 92, of Magnolia, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the NHC Healthcare Center in Glasgow,
She attended the Magnolia Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry W. Ragland; a grandson; three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by two daughters, Rochelle Druen of Campbellsville and Janice Ragland of LaGrange; a son, Darrell Ragland of Navarre, Florida; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM (EST) Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8PM, Monday at the funeral home.
