William Junior Talley of Magnolia
William Junior Talley, age 90 years, of Magnolia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at his residence.
He was a farmer, member of Three Forks Bacon Creek Baptist Church, longtime caretaker of the Hammonsville Cemetery, and a World War II Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Colby and Nellie M. Crouch Talley, three sisters, Beaulah Talley, Maeola Close, and Edna Ford, and two brothers, Johnny Talley and Herman Talley.
He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Bernice E. Kessler Talley, a daughter, Joyce (Ronald) Graham of Vine Grove, a son, Steven Rocky Talley of Elizabethtown, a sister, Chris Meers of Hodgenville, four grandchildren, Ronald (Beth) Graham, Jr., George William (Julie) Graham, Tammy (Leo) Wartluft, and Beverly (Paul) Grunwald, 7 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EDT) Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev. Gary Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammonsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 PM (EDT) Thursday, and after 9 AM (EDT) Friday at the funeral home.
Anthony Ray "Tony" Huffman of Magnolia
Anthony Ray "Tony" Huffman, age 42 years, of Magnolia, passed away, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at his residence.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Diannia and Robert Hammond, his father, William Lavern Larner III, two daughters, Caitlin and Cuylin, a son, Cuyler, and three brothers, Lee Malkin, Jamie Larner, and William Lavern Larner IV.
There will be no services, cremation was chosen.
Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of the arrangements.
Tracey Michelle Jaggers of Elizabethtown, formerly of Magnolia
Tracey Michelle Jaggers, age 36 years, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Magnolia, passed away, Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was a member of Center Point Missionary Baptist Church in White Mills, a 1996 graduate of LaRue County High School, and a former employee of the News Enterprise.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Otis and Ethel Benningfield, and her paternal grandparents, James and Emma Jaggers.
She is survived by a daughter, Madison Taylor Cartmill, a son, Hunter Levi Cartmill, her parents, Larry and Connie Benningfield Jaggers of Magnolia, a sister, Amanda (Bro. Robert) Jewell of Elizabethtown, her fiance, Mark Nichols of Elizabethtown, a niece, Hannah Jewell, and two nephews, Evan Jewell and Isaac Jewell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Center Point Missionary Baptist Church in White Mills with Bro. Robert Jewell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Mt. Sherman.
Visitation will be 2-8 PM Thursday at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia, and after 10 AM Friday at the church until time for services.

Clarence Wayne Vore of Magnolia
Clarence Wayne Vore, age 78 years, of Magnolia, passed away, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
He was a retired truck driver, member of Magnolia Baptist Church, attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and an Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Anna Miga, his parents, Luther and Wanda Ferriel Younger Vore, a sister, Mary Lou Bowlin, and a brother, Thomas Vore.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Vore, a daughter, Debra Raymer of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, four sons, Thomas Michael Vore of Texas, Russell Vore of Missouri, Ronald Knight of Elizabethtown, and Aaron Vore of Portland, Indiana, a sister, Virginia Crump of Hartford City, Indiana, three brothers, Irvin Vore of Monticello, Indiana, John Allen Vore of Redkey, Indiana, and Timothy Day of Sarasota, Florida, a special-sister-in-law, Janet Milby of Magnolia, several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews he considered extended grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Hines and Frank Belden officiating.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia, and after 12 noon Saturday at the church until time for services.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
Pennye Carol Pepper of St. Petersburg, Florida formerly of Louisville
Pennye Carol Pepper, age 53 years, of Florida, formerly of Louisville and Crestwood, passed away, Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
She was born in Bowling Green, KY on February 19, 1962, and graduated from Oldham County High School in 1980.
Pennye is survived by her parents, Joseph and Lynn Crowder Pepper of Crestwood; two daughters, Denise (Michael) Baker of Prattville, AL and Miranda Gunlogson of LaGrange; two grandsons, Silas and Seth Baker and a granddaughter, Lily Gunlogson; a brother, Joseph Thaddeus (Holly) Pepper of Goshen; a sister, Laura (Louie) Seger of Goshen; two nieces, Kaitlin Pepper and Samantha Seger; two nephews, Austin Pepper and Dillon Seger; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, February, 28, 2015, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia, Rev. Les Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Odessa Hornback of Sonora
Odessa Hornback, age 81, of Sonora, passed away, Saturday, February 28, 2015, at her residence.
She was a housewife and babysitter for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Hornback; her parents, Oliver and Anna Mae Yates Priddy and a brother, Hester Priddy.
Odessa is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Fields of Sonora, Elinora White of Nashville, TN and Geneva Shuffett of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, March 2, 2015, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Darrell Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery near Sonora.
Visitation will begin after 10 AM, Monday at the funeral home.
Harold L. Vaughn of Hudgins
Harold Lewis Vaughn, age 73, of the Hudgins Community, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015, at the Golden Living Center, Green Hill in Greensburg.
He was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church, retired from KY Trailer in Louisville, an avid square dancer and did mission work for Constructors for Christ based in Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odella Vance and Robert L. Vaughn.
He is survived by his wife, June Vaughn; two sons, Mitchell (Debbie) Wells of Magnolia and Eric (Diane) Wells of Brownsville; three grandchildren, Jessica, Ethan and Tyler; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Aiden and Collin; a sister, Kaye Whitlow of Hodgenville and a brother, Boyce Wayne Vaughn of Elizabethtown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, (ET), Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Kelvin Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship #1 Church Cemetery in Hart County.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 PM, (ET) Sunday and after 9 AM (ET) Monday at the funeral home.
