Marvin Leslie Davis of Magnolia
Marvin Leslie Davis, 88, of Magnolia, passed away at his home, Friday morning, April 1, 2016.
He was a retired cabinet maker at Scheirich in Louisville and then a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Iciephine Gardner Davis; a brother, Chester Davis and a sister Nora Mae Davis Potts.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years on June 10th, Rebecca Wilkinson Davis; 3 children, Carolyn (Ray) Shoemaker of Magnolia, Don (Debbie) Davis of Hodgenville and Donna (Allen) Hunter of Magnolia; six grandchildren, Melissa (Thomas) Whittemore, Michelle Nichols, Dale (Alana) Hunter, Rev Donnie (Teleana) Davis, April (Tony) Wells and Kevin (Emily) Shoemaker; ten great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Sanders, Taylor Nichols, Brooklyn Wells, Jayde Shoemaker, Noah Davis, Justin Shoemaker, Caden Davis, Jacob Hunter, Hailey Wells and Madden Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM (ET), Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev Gerald Gardner and Rev James Crim officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8 pm on Saturday and from 11 am on Sunday until time of services.
Shirley Ann Seewer Miller of Louisville
Shirley Ann Seewer Miller, age 83, passed peacefully on March 31, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Shirley was an incredible woman, who dedicated her life to helping others. A Louisville native, she attended Shawnee Girls High School, obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Catherine Spalding College, and spent her career in the medical field. Along with helping people through her work, she was an integral member of her church community. She loved learning, travel, sewing, cooking, singing, gardening, working with refugee families, reading for the blind, caring for her family and supporting her friends. The many people who experienced her love will carry on her memory and miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Seewer; and her brothers, Donny and Norman Seewer.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, David Coleman Miller; daughters, Teresa "Teri" Lloyd and Kathleen "Kathy" Howell (Barry); four grandchildren, Erin Lloyd Denny (Chris), Collin Lloyd (Alexia), Jia Howell, and Charlie Howell; and many other beloved family members and life-long friends.
Her funeral service will be at 10 am on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church, 142 Crescent Avenue, with burial to follow at 1:30 pm EST at Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, KY. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Sunday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.

Tinley Raye Riggs, infant, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Geraldine Mercer and Herbert Roten.
She is survived by her mom and dad, Brianna Roten and Steven Riggs of Hodgenville; her maternal grandparents, Traci (Aaron) Denham of Magnolia and Marty Roten of Louisville; her paternal grandparents, Clarence (Beth) Riggs and Amanda (Robert Grimes) Jewell all of Magnolia; her maternal great-grandparents, Danny and Teresa Helm of Magnolia; her paternal great-grandparents, Junie and Rose Riggs of Magnolia, Diane Haycraft of Hodgenville and Bobby Jewell of Canmer; her paternal great-great-grandmother, Martha Skaggs of Mt. Sherman; three aunts, Kayla (J.D.) Pullen, Cayleigh Riggs and Tiffany Thomas; an uncle, Tyler Riggs; six great-aunts, Jennifer (Troy) Williams, Tammy (Cliff) Circle, Tonya Riggs, April (Cole) Clark, Aliza (Elton) Martin and Vicky Highbaugh; four great-uncles, Ricky (Lynn) Jewell, Michael Haycraft, Dale Roten and Jason Roten and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Benningfield Chapel with Bro. Troy Benningfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation begins at 1 PM, Thursday at the church.

Sarah Margaret "Sis" Perkins Warren of Mt. Sherman
Sarah Margaret "Sis" Perkins Warren, age 83, of Mt. Sherman, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at her residence.
Sis retired from Union Underwear; owned and operated Sarah's Crafts and Sarah's Place in Mt. Sherman and attended the Mt. Sherman Mission Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 16 siblings.
She is survived by her husband, James M. Warren; a son, James H. "Harry" Underwood of Mt. Sherman; two grandchildren, Michael Underwood and Sarah "Tootie" Underwood; a brother, Emmett (Helen) Perkins of Buffalo and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM (ET), Monday, April 25, 2016, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Revs. Odell Warren and Gerald Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 PM (ET), Sunday and after 1 PM (ET), Monday at the funeral home.
Aletha Milby of Magnolia
Aletha Milby, age 96 years, of Magnolia, passed away, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at her residence.
She was a long time member of Magnolia Baptist Church, a farmer and a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mamie Stearman Milby, three brothers, James Crawford "J.C." Milby, Herman Stearman Milby and Kenneth Milby, an infant sister and a niece, Denise Perkins.
She is survived by a niece, Chrisanna England of Mt. Sherman and two great-nieces, Amanda (Nathan) Hall and Heather England.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with burial to follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 PM Monday and after 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home until time for services.
Ilse S. Davis of Buffalo
Ilse S. Davis, age 93 years, of Buffalo, passed away, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was a retired beautician, and a Methodist.
The native of Schneeheimbrenc, Germany was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John V. Davis, a son, Horst Kettenring, and her parents, Rudolph and Katrina Scheel Schwaab.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sigrid Kettenring of Germany, and a host of dear and special friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home with Chaplain Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

James "Ham" Coffey of Magnolia
James "Ham" Coffey, age 92, of Magnolia, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance Department and a lifelong farmer. Ham had a great love of family, never met a stranger and had a unique sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Blair Coffey; his parents, W. F. "Jake" and Mary Lou Whitlow Coffey; a sister, Juanita Coffey Stovall and five brothers, Harold Thomas, Bertram, Lonnie, Sherman and Veechel Coffey.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary (Lynn) Atteberry of Clinton, IL; two grandchildren, Derek Atteberry of Weldon, IL and Amy Workman of Clinton, IL; four great-grandchildren, Claudia Workman, Cordell Workman, Kristin Atteberry and Andrew Atteberry; a sister, Alvine Hampton of PA; a step-sister of Barbara (Charlie) Logsdon of Hodgenville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM (ET), Monday, April 25, 2016, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Neal Price and Bro. Steve Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Cosby Cemetery near LeGrande.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 PM (ET), Sunday and after 9 AM (ET), Monday at the funeral home.
