Pauline Keith of Hodgenville
Pauline Howell Keith, age 83 years, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Keith; a son, Arnold Skaggs; her son-in-law, James "Tubby" Gardner; her parents, Miles and Maggie Loyall Howell; four sisters, Edna Betebenner, Verdie French, Effie Underwood and Lela Mae Skaggs and a brother, Alfred Howell.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Faye Gardner of Hodgenville; three sons, Stephen (Doris) Skaggs, Jackie (Susan) Skaggs and Jeff (Shelia) Skaggs all of Hodgenville; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Lester) Crosswhite, Cynthia (Ricky) Herron, Stephanie (Keith) Martin, Michael (Jessica) Skaggs, Shelly (Matt) Vaal, Jesse Skaggs, Norma Skaggs and Travis Skaggs and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Billy Curle and Chaplain Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Separate Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Sherman.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and after 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Earl Floyd Wilkerson of Magnolia
Earl Floyd Wilkerson, age 77, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church and retired from Industrial Security.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Gallagher; his parents, Thomas and Eva Wilkerson; a grandson, Jeremy Wilkerson; a sister, Marie Blevins and three brothers, Ralph, Robert and Omer Wilkerson.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilkerson; two daughters, Andrea Parr of Elizabethtown and Lisa (Rick) Jackson of Magnolia; three sons, Tony (Missy) Wilkerson of Hodgenville, Don (Ruby) Wilkerson of Ft. Branch, IN and Tommy (Anita) Wilkerson of Greenville; a sister, Mary Campbell of Campbellsville; 11 grandchildren, Karen (Brian) Wilson, Nikki (Kevin Koenig) Lotter, Sam Parr, Mekayla Wilkerson, Kirsten Cohen, Megan (Nathan) Wheeler, Joshua Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Candace (Brian) Lile, LeAnn (Brandon) Coin and Chris (Amanda) Wilkerson; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bros. Don Flanagan and Wilford Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Monday and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Jesse Lee Thompson of Magnolia
Jesse Lee Thompson, age 82 years, of Magnolia, passed away, Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at his caregiver's residence in Magnolia.
He was retired from International Harvester, after 30 years of service, a lifelong farmer, a member of Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, and an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Vaughn Thompson, his parents, Roy and Pearl Slayton Thompson, a sister, Versie Clopton, and five brothers, Gabriel, William Douglas, Leamon, Joe, and Ed Thompson.
He is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Eddie) Riggs and Pat (Terry Cunningham) Noe both of Magnolia, a son, Michael Thompson of Magnolia, two sisters, Geneva Milby and Martha Jane Turner, three brothers, Hank Thompson, Alvin Thompson, and Clarence Thompson, four grandchildren, Stephanie (Michael Foster) Noe, Krystal (Aaron) Williams, Brittany (Cory) James, and Chad Riggs, and six great-grandchildren, Katelyn Williams, Brooklyn Williams, Zak James, Zaily James, Zinley James and Leona Foster.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev. Roger Pepper officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Saturday, and after 9 AM Sunday at the funeral home.
Leamon Benningfield of Elizabethtown
Leamon Benningfield, age 85, of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Gavel Lodge #570 F&AM; in Magnolia and the Kentucky Horseshoe Pitching Association, Elizabethtown Chapter, winning numerous trophies across the state.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Benningfield; a son, David Benningfield; a granddaughter, Ashley Moore; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Carouthers; his parents, Johnny Blaine "Tink" and Nora Florence Elkins Benningfield; a sister, Frances Gibson and a brother, James Guy "Jig" Benningfield.
He is survived by three children, Roger (Connie) Benningfield, Donnie Benningfield and Coleen Berry, all of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Eads, Chris Benningfield, Ben Benningfield, Matt Flanders, Kyle Berry, Kelly Berry, Jonathan Berry and Mariah Berry and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM (ET), Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Ben Benningfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery, near Mt. Sherman.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM, Monday and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Tinley Raye Riggs, infant, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Geraldine Mercer and Herbert Roten.
She is survived by her mom and dad, Brianna Roten and Steven Riggs of Hodgenville; her maternal grandparents, Traci (Aaron) Denham of Magnolia and Marty Roten of Louisville; her paternal grandparents, Clarence (Beth) Riggs and Amanda (Robert Grimes) Jewell all of Magnolia; her maternal great-grandparents, Danny and Teresa Helm of Magnolia; her paternal great-grandparents, Junie and Rose Riggs of Magnolia, Diane Haycraft of Hodgenville and Bobby Jewell of Canmer; her paternal great-great-grandmother, Martha Skaggs of Mt. Sherman; three aunts, Kayla (J.D.) Pullen, Cayleigh Riggs and Tiffany Thomas; an uncle, Tyler Riggs; six great-aunts, Jennifer (Troy) Williams, Tammy (Cliff) Circle, Tonya Riggs, April (Cole) Clark, Aliza (Elton) Martin and Vicky Highbaugh; four great-uncles, Ricky (Lynn) Jewell, Michael Haycraft, Dale Roten and Jason Roten and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Benningfield Chapel with Bro. Troy Benningfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation begins at 1 PM, Thursday at the church.

Arthur William "Artie" Kaleher, III of Summersville
Arthur William "Artie" Kaleher, III, age 67, of Summersville, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at his residence.
He was a retired postal worker and a Navy Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann Kaleher and his parents, Arthur William and Lois M. Livers Kaleher, Jr.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Michael (Heather) Kaleher of Charlotte, NC; two step-sons, Kenneth Wayne Sloan and Anthony Dwight (Crystal) Sloan, all of Summersville; five grandchildren, three sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 7 PM (ET), Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with his family and friends officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will begin at 3 PM (ET), Friday at the funeral home.
Elizabeth Ann Scott Mayer Byrkett Whipkey of Hodgenville
Elizabeth Ann Scott Mayer Byrkett Whipkey, age 80, passed away, Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
Her organizations included, the Orphan Brigade Kinfolk, Morgan's Men Association, Kentucky Colonel, the Confederate States-Allied Europe/British Command, where she was listed as a top researcher of lost gravesites of the American Civil War, Joe Wheeler-Pond Spring, Nathan Bedford Forrest Historical Society, an honorary member of "The Pards", an American Civil War Group from County Cork, Ireland, and the John Bell Hood Historical Society.
She was appreciative of her heritage and was proud to be the great-granddaughter of a Civil War soldier, as well as, the granddaughter of a World War II Navy Seaman on the USS Missouri, in the Peace Mission from 1907-1909 ordered by President Teddy Roosevelt.
She was an avid American Civil War researcher, having done research for people all over the world with the uncanny ability to find the "unfindable".
She was the author of several books, had a weekly column in the LaRue County Herald News, titled "From My Little Corner". She also corroborated with Dave Tollerton of England, who put several of her poems to music.

She was also a proud volunteer at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, pianist for the Monday Evening Church Service, "SONshine Time" with her husband and delivered messages as well.
She was a retired secretary for a police department.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. Byrkett, her mother, Lorena Mamie Miller Scott Mayer, her father, Kenneth Floyd Scott, her step-mother, Helen Coney Scott, her step-father, Rollyn E. Mayer, a half-brother, Kenneth Floyd Scott, Jr. and a step-sister, Phyllis A. Mayer.
She is survived by her husband, Bradley D. Whipkey, three daughters, Bonnie L. Byrkett of Florida, Elizabeth "Bekki" A. Cooper of Indiana and Roberta A. Miller of Virginia, three sons, William L. Byrkett, Jr., Bart L. Byrkett and Brett A. Byrkett all of Indiana, three step-daughters, Shelly Waltamath, Sherry Highfill and Lucinda Whipkey, three step-sons, David Whipkey, Todd Whipkey and Kent Whipkey, a half-sister, Linda Scott Liles of Texas, a half-brother, Reginald C. Scott of Indiana, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, special cousin, John G. Miller of Portland, Oregon, and dear friends, Derek and Marian Shaw, Neville Wantling and Geoffrey and Sue Woollard all of England, Terry Foenander of Australia and Pastor Kris Brower of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Carlton Puryear and Rev. Gary Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home until time for services.
