Duard "John" Davis of Cecilia
Duard H. "John" Davis, age 77, of Cecilia, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
The native of Mt. Sherman was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, an Army veteran and retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Marie Benningfield Davis; a sister, Georgia Carol Davis and four brothers, Coleman, Thomas, Marshall and Harry Davis.
He is survived by a brother, James "Jim" (Margie) Davis of Louisville; a niece, Kathy (John) Patrick; two great-nieces, Jackie (Greg) Adam and Veronica Patrick and his friend and caregiver, Tony Ball.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, June 8, 2015, at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 PM, Sunday and after 9 AM, Monday at the funeral home.
Nannie L. Roten of Louisville
Nannie L. Roten, age 79 years, of Louisville, passed away, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Norton's Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Junior Roten, a granddaughter, April O'Donnell, her parents, Michael Eddie and Lula Mae Madden Scott, a brother, Luther Randall Scott, and a half-sister, Icie Mae Parker.
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Kay (Ronnie) Jarvis, Linda Faye Roten, and Cheryl Roten all of Louisville, a son, Timothy Lynn Roten of Missouri, a sister, Dorothy Catherine Eads of Sonora, a half-brother, Bobby Gene Parker of Africa, four grandchildren, Crystal, Nicky, Travis, and Charlie, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM (EDT) Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammonsville Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11 AM (EDT) Thursday at the funeral home until time for services.
Patsy M. Walters of Havana, Illinois
Patsy M. Walters, 74, of Havana passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Unity Point Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born on April 4, 1941 in Mansfield, TN to Edward and Marie (Hoofman) McElroy. On June 7, 1964 in Paris, TN, she married
Buron "Butch" Walters who survives.
She received her bachelor's degree from Murray State in Kentucky and her Master's degree from the University of Illinois both in Library Science. Patsy worked in many library fields such as academic and medical.
She was an active member of the Havana Southern Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Patsy is also survived by three children, Lucinda Jo Walters of Phoenix, AZ, Loren Thomas Walters of Warren, MI and Leon Thomas (Becca) Walters of St. Peters, MO; her mother Marie; two grandsons, Niklas Thomas Walters of AZ and Jacob Thomas Walters of MO; two brothers, Eddie McElroy and Randy McElroy and four sisters, Violet Jean Brubaker, Joan Smothers, Judy Sutton and Delissa Koe Jessie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM (ET), Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Dr. Don Full officiating. Burial will follow in the South Fork Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 10 AM (ET) on Thursday at the funeral home.

Ernest R. Flenner Jr. of Buffalo
Ernest R. Flenner Jr. age 71, of Buffalo, a native of Pittsburg, PA, passed away, Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
A retired Army Sergeant 1st class with over 20 years of service.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Louise Schweinberg Flenner and a brother, Eugene Flenner.
He is survived by a son, Tim (Amber) Flenner of Buffalo; a daughter, Lisa Henson of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Kenneth and William Flenner; four sisters, Annabelle Prough, Blanche Hachey, Nancy Dixon and Joanne Kuzeiewicz; seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM Friday, September 25, 2015, at the Cook Cemetery in Elizabethtown, Rev. Sid Lewis officiating.
Agnes Elaine Davis of Munfordville
Agnes Elaine Davis, age 63 years, of Munfordville, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the T.J. Samson Regional Hospital in Glasgow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick William and Mary Elizabeth Dallis Lucas.
She is survived by her longtime boyfriend, Steve Cunningham, two daughters, Sandra Stephens and Cynthia Blevins, a son, Sean Spalding, a sister, Linda Rardon, two brothers, Ronnie Dallis and Charles Alford and six grandchildren.
The family has requested cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Jo Stiles of Hodgenville
Jo Stiles, age 97, of Hodgenville, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015, in Hodgenville.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hodgenville and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Stiles in 1991; two daughters, Ruth Whelan and Joanne Perkins; her parents, Thomas Allen and Martha Thompson Oliver; three brothers, Wilmer Oliver, Charlie Oliver and Otis Oliver and two sisters, Gladys Hughes and Grace Nichols.
She is survived by a son, David (Betty) Stiles of El Reno, OK; two special nieces, Sharon Richardson and Barbara Gerner; three special caregivers, Connie McCandless, Geneva Gardner and Martha Bell; sixteen grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Roger Pepper and David Stiles officiating. Burial will follow in the Stiles Cemetery near Howardstown.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM, Thursday and after 10 AM, Friday at the funeral home.

Betty Stoner of Hodgenville
Betty Stoner, age 70, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, October 11, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Cecilia.
She was a former employee of Nationwide Uniform Company in Hodgenville.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Teddy Merle Jaggers Sr. and Gertrude Salsman Jaggers; a brother, Teddy Merle Jaggers Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Shannon (Jason) Penna of Magnolia and Shelly (Eric) Ricketts of Cecilia; a brother, Michael Jaggers of Clarkson; four grandchildren, Brennen Cruse, Corri Jones, Ashtian Murton and Trishtian Cruse; two great-grandchildren, Keaton Cruse and Kylie Murton; her companion, Douglas Cruse.
There will be a visitation for Betty held from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
Cremation will follow the visitation.
