Dorcy R. Alltop
STANFORD -- Graveside services for Dorcy Ray Alltop Jr., 66, of Stanford Road, Lancaster, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery by the Rev. Mike Weiglieki.
He died Monday at his home.
Born April 14, 1934, in West Virginia, he was a son of the late Dorcy and Stacy McHenry Alltop. He was a retired staff sergeant with the Air Force having served 20 years, and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Bellva J. Alltop; three sons, Randy Gabbard and Greg Gabbard, both of Lancaster, and Kenneth Gabbard of Cincinnati; a daughter, Windy Clemmons of Richmond; two brothers, John Alltop of Buffalo, N.Y., and Kenneth Alltop of West Virginia; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John A. Alltop.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may go to Shriners Hospital in Lexington.

Dolores V. Spears
WAYNESBURG -- Services for Dolores Verdena Spears, 61, of Eubank were today at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Revs. Emmet Lanham and Dustin York. Burial was in Singletown Cemetery, Eubank.
She died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 18, 1939, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late Dewitt and Lottie Mary Spears and a member of n Agreed that the high school Football Boosters can purchase bleachers for the football field and to bring the other bleachers up to federal safety standards. The cost will not exceed $10, 000.

LIBERTY -- Jean Diebolt Jackson, 57, of Liberty died Sunday at her home.
Born Nov. 25, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Henry J. and Katharine Phinney Diebolt. She was a sales agent for Allstate Insurance Co.
Survivors include her husband, J. Newton Jackson; two sons, J. Scott Jackson of Fairfield, Ohio, and Glenn D. Jackson of Liberty; and a brother, John H. Diebolt of Cary, N.C.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Fairfield.

Johnny B. Lee
CRAB ORCHARD -- Johnny B. Lee, 64, of Loveland, Ohio, died Friday at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
Born March 20, 1936, in Pineville, he was a son of the late Manford and Evelie Wilson Lee. He worked in the fireworks industry for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Alice L. Bryant Lee, formerly of Crab Orchard; a son, Johnny Lee Jr.; five sisters, Faye Martin, Thelma Daniels, Betty Jo Branham, Minnie Sailor and Alice Skidmore; three brothers, Roger Lee, Manford Lee Jr., and Press Lee; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, Brodhead, by Dan Gutenson.

John T. Thompson
HARRODSBURG -- John Thomas Thompson, 77, formerly of Boone Street, died Sunday at Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington after a long illness.
Born March 10, 1923, in Springfield, he was a son of the late Lewis and Pearl Brown Thompson. He was a retired farmer and bricklayer, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Dora DeBaun Thompson.
Survivors include a stepson, Rufus Thompson of Lexington; two stepdaughters, Ernestine Garner of Louisville and Frances Davis of Lexington; a sister, Mary Francis Baker of Louisville; eight step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, William J. Penman.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Grove Cemetery by the Rev. J.D. Short III.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Parks Funeral Home.

Walter Reed
STANFORD -- Services for Walter Reed, 84, , a retired Lincoln County school administrator, of the Highland community will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Moriah Christian Church by Jim Jordan, Jim Warfield and Rob Cox. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He died Sunday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
He was employed by the Lincoln County school system for 37 years. He served as principal at Waynesburg and Broughtontown elementary schools and as pupil personnel director for the Lincoln County schools.
Born Oct. 6, 1915, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late William S. and Cynthia Warfield Reed. He was a World War II veteran and a distinguished Purple Heart recipient. He was a graduate of Union College and received an masters and Rank I degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. He was a Mason and a member of the Harvey Helm Memorial Library board.
Survivors include his wife, Berdine McGuffey Reed; a son, Joe Reed of Stanford; a daughter, Dixie Lee Hardin of Danville; a brother, Waldo Reed of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two sisters, Christine Cardwell and Shirley Ward, both of Louisville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Reed, Tommy Barlow, Zeke Gibson, Steve Ralston, Jack Johnson and Bob Gourley.
Honorary pallbearers are Russell Martin, Fonzo McGuffey and Dudley Lewis.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the church.
