Bobby Leo "B.J." Warren, Jr. of Louisville

Bobby Leo "BJ" Warren Jr., age 44, of Louisville, passed away, Sunday, June 21, 2015, at his residence.

He was an employee of Heaven Hill in Louisville.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Ann "Judy" Skaggs Warren and a brother, Robbie Warren Sr.

He is survived by his father, Bobby Leo Warren Sr. of Mt. Sherman; a niece, Sydney Warren; three nephews, Robbie Warren Jr., Dalton Warren and Gage Warren; and a sister-in-law, Vickie Warren.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Revs. Daryl Coe and James Crim officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1 to 8 PM Wednesday and after 9 AM Thursday at the funeral home.

Susan Sheppard of Hodgenville

Susan Sheppard, age 64 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

She was a retired secretary for the United States Air Force, former elementary school teacher in Florida, and a former substitute teacher for the LaRue County Board of Education.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Lucille Allen Salazar.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Carl "Shep" Sheppard, a daughter, Yvonne Triplett, currently stationed in Alabama, a son, Robert Triplett of Florida, a sister, Alicia Friedlander of Florida, and a grandchild, Kayden Triplett.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, and after 9 AM Thursday at the funeral home.

Eugene C. Allen Sr. of Hodgenville

Eugene C. Allen Sr., age 86, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, June 6, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and the longest standing member of Buffalo Baptist Church. The retired farmer was former owner and operator of Allen and Hummer Motor Company and Allen Reality, he was a member of the Gideons International as well as a former Ag teacher to WWII veterans returning from service.

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel S. Allen in 1989; his parents, Ernest and Dora Short Allen.

He is survived by a daughter, Pam (R.L.) Read of Hodgenville; a son, Coleman Allen of Hodgenville; two grandchildren, Cheryl (Jeremy) Hager and Lindsay Beavers all of Nicholasville; three great-grandchildren, Tinley, Tate and Teagan Hager; two step-grandchildren, Reagan and Reanna Read; a step-great-granddaughter, Kindall Read and a special friend, Virginia Williams.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Revs. Gordon McDowell, Roger Pepper and Bob Boster officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Tuesday and after 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pam Stillwell Lynott of Buffalo

Pamela May Lynott, age 49, of Buffalo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown after a long and courageous battle with diabetes.

She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Stillwell and a niece, Jennifer Lynn Benningfield.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Lynott; a daughter, Aimee Murphy of Louisville; her father, Roger Stillwell of Buffalo; a sister, Donna (James) Benningfield of Hodgenville; a brother, Craig (Mehreen) Stillwell of Geneva, Switzerland and a niece, Lorrie Michelle Benningfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the Buffalo Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Pepper and Rev. Bob Boster officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM, Monday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville and after 12 noon, Tuesday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Gideons International, PO Box 25, Hodgenville, KY 42748 or the American Diabetes Association, 161 St. Matthews Ave., Suite 3, Louisville, KY 40207.

Randall "Randy" Terry Crain of Howardstown

Randall Terry Crain, age 55 years, of Howardstown, passed away, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his residence.

He was a dispatcher for Boone's Farm Trucking in Howardstown, and an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Jesse and Mary Alice Metcalf Crain, a sister, Lisa Coombs, and two brothers, Richard Crain and Gary Crain.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Ann Gardner Crain, two sons, Matthew Crain of Howardstown and Brandon Crain of Elizabethtown, a sister, Judy Harris of Elizabethtown, and two brothers, Darrell Crain of White City and Lanny Crain of Phoenix.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Gordon McDowell officiating.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday, and after 9 AM Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the LaRue County Relay for Life or the American Cancer Society.

James Butler of Hodgenville

James Butler, age, 81, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

He was a retired farmer and a former member of Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Elvena Butler; his parents, Glen and Gertrude Taylor Butler; three sisters, Velina Smith, Elaine Logsdon and Pernie Logsdon; three brothers, Radford, Clay and Cecil Butler.

He is survived by two daughters, Gail (Roy) Hawes of Harrodsburg and Debbie (Barry) Druen of Munfordville; two sons, Steve Butler of Hodgenville and Michael (Sharron) Butler of Magnolia; a sister, Delores McTarsney of Columbus, IN; two half-brothers, Cleo Butler of Bowling Green and Leon Butler of Elizabethtown; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, May 31, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Rev. Tom Downey officiating. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Memorial Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 PM Saturday and after 11 AM Sunday at the funeral home.

Iris Hoagland of Levelwoods

Iris June Hoagland, age 79 years, of Levelwoods, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015 with her family at her bedside.

She was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved flowers, painting, reading, and doing needle work.

She was a member of Colesburg Baptist Church, and a farmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest "Chick" and Margaret "Mooch" Formhals, a sister, Betty McDonald, two brothers, Ernie Formhals and Walter Formhals, a grandson, Roy Marshall Jeffries, and a nephew, Gary McDonald.

She is survived by her loving husband, Freddy Hoagland, two daughters, Margaret (Charles) Brown of Buffalo and Mary Beth Hoagland of Danville, a son, Perry (Lindy Forbes) Hoagland of Finley, a sister, Michelle (Tom) Albietz of Elizabethtown, two granddaughters, DeAnna (Speedy) Murrell and Tonya (Jordan) Stapp, five great-grandchildren, Courtney Jeffries, Jarrod Murrell, Wayne Murrell, Bonnie Johnson, and Anthony Johnson, one great-great-grandchild, Jonathan Jeffries, and her loving puppy, Taz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Jonathan Carl officiating.

Visitation will be 12 noon until 8 PM Wednesday, and after 9 AM Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hosparus of Green River PO Box 4134 Campbellsville, KY 42718.
