Marvin D. Long of Louisville
Marvin D. Long, age 79, of Louisville, passed away, Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Green Meadows Health Care Center in Mt. Washington.
He was a retired police officer with the Pioneer Village Police Department, former security guard, and a member of Providence Baptist Church in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorlley "Doc" and Lucille Taylor Long, and a sister, Shirley Kaye Girtley.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Long, a daughter, Connie (Russell) Mason of Custer, three sons, Bro. Kenneth (Sharon) Long of Pekin, Indiana, Stewart (Tracy) Long of Greenville, Indiana, and David Long of Louisville, three step-daughters, Frances (Timothy) Garrett and Viola Dowell all of Louisville, and Shauntelle Dowell of Shepherdsville, a step-son, William (Lisa) Dowell of Greensburg, a sister, Lela (Gary) Tinnell of Shepherdsville, a brother, Bro. Claudie (Aleen) Long of Hodgenville, 22 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, May 25, 2015 at the Victory Baptist Church in Hodgenville with Bro. Nathan Long and Bro. Claudie Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 10 AM Monday at the church until time for services.

Bettye Graham Harman of Hodgenville
Bettye Graham Harman, age 78 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her residence.
She was a longtime cook and waitress, having worked at many different businesses in the Hodgenville area, Colorado and North Carolina. She was a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hodgenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Morris, a granddaughter, Melissa Ann Morris, and her parents, Stanley Russell and Mary Emma Ramsey Graham.
She is survived by a son, James Russell Morris of Greensburg, a sister, Margie Lee of Hodgenville, and two granddaughters, Jessica Morris and Cassandra Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 PM Tuesday, and after 9 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Guthrie Otto Catlin of Louisville, formerly of Levelwoods
Guthrie Otto Catlin, age 96 years, of Louisville, formerly of Levelwoods, passed away, Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Jefferson Place in Louisville.
He was a retired Superintendent of Schools for District #105 in Willow Springs, Illinois, member of Levelwoods United Methodist Church, attended Westport Road Baptist Church, member of the Lions Club, and a World War II Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mariam Newman Catlin, his parents, Otto and Stella Bryant Catlin, and two sisters, Blanche Irene Heathcock and Beulah Muriel Poole.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda D. (Philip) Russell and Patti J. (Bob) Toole all of Louisville, a son, Stephen W. (Sharon) Catlin of Louisville, a brother, Dwight Wayne Catlin of Illinois, five grandchildren, Michele (Landon) Kellerman, Ryan (Jackie) Workman, Jodi (Joseph) Parnell, Theresa (Nathan) Moss, and Caitlin Toole, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Lawrence Brockman officiating. Burial will follow in the Levelwoods Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:30 AM Friday at the funeral home until time for services.
Lori Ann Truitt of Bardstown, formerly Hodgenville
Lori Ann Truitt, age 49 years, of Bardstown, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger L. Truitt.
She is survived by her mother, Ann Truitt of Hodgenville, a brother, Larry (Amy) Truitt of Elizabethtown, a niece, Shelby Truitt, and a nephew, Benjamin Truitt.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Carlton Puryear officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home until time for services.

Geneva Cruse Creason Atcher, age 84, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was retired from civil service at Ft. Knox.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Creason and Don Atcher; her parents, Lewis and Roberta Mann Cruse; four sisters, Mary DeSpain, Christine Gardner, Katie Howell and Anna Nunn and four brothers, Otto, Harvey, John and Hobert Cruse.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Oran) Morton of Bardstown; two sons, Donald (Brenda) Creason and Larry (Kathy) Creason all of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Bernie Minnis officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.

Ricky Lee Benningfield, Sr., age 51 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was the owner and operator of Ricky's Backhoe and Electric Service, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward G. Benningfield, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Samra Benningfield, a son, Ricky Lee Benningfield, Jr. of Hodgenville, his mother, Jeanette Lile Benningfield of Hodgenville, four step-daughters, Laura (David) Housler, Nicole Kay Larrison, and Kaitlyn Michelle Larrison all of Hodgenville, and Megan Jayne Larrison of Cecilia, four step-sons, Joseph Earl (Jennifer) Hendricks II and Cameron Peter Larrison all of Hodgenville, and Luke Scott (Lorrie) Hendricks and Nathan Samuel Hendricks all of Elizabethtown, two sisters, Carolyn (Bob) Loebig of Elizabethtown and Ann (Gary) Smith of Hodgenville, three brothers, Edward G. (Dotty) Benningfield, Jr. of Columbia, Steve (Leisa) Benningfield of Elizabethtown, and Andy (Vicky) Benningfield of Hodgenville, 6 step-grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 2 nephews.

Rudolph Herman Jackson of Hodgenville
Rudolph Herman Jackson, age 68, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015, at the Golden Living Center, Camelot in Louisville.
He was a retired artilleryman for the US Army, having served two tours in Vietnam and receiving a Purple Heart; a member of the Rolling Fork Baptist Church, American Legion and DAV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Herman and Mary Alice Mattingly Jackson and a brother, Roy Leon Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Cruse Jackson; two daughters, Rhonda Gail (David) Carson and Jessica Renee Benningfield all of Hodgenville; a son, Terry Wayne Jackson of Radcliff; five grandchildren, Danielle and Gabby Carson, Gavin Jackson, Israel Wren and Eli Benningfield; two great-grandchildren, Alma Mehicic and Austin Johnson; six sisters, Shirley Barkley of Louisville, Margie (Jody) McMillen of Elizabethtown, Barbara (George) McCubbins of Bardstown, Helen (Larry) Strange of Louisville, Lisa (Gary) DeWitt of Hodgenville and Lynn Johnson of New Haven and two brothers, Joseph Jackson and Thomas (Cindi) Jackson all of Hodgenville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM, Tuesday and after 9 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
