Charles William "Bill" Kennedy of Sonora
Charles William "Bill" Kennedy, age 78, of Sonora, passed away, Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was a member and deacon at the Barren Run Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Emma Barmore Kennedy.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Brenda McCuiston Kennedy; a daughter, Zina (Keith) Breeding of Elizabethtown; a son, John (Monica) Kennedy of Richmond; a brother, Robert (Carla) Kennedy; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Frank Brooks) Watts, Alex (Jess Gowen) Watts, Carmen (Patrick) DeVault, Emily (Jonathan) Doak and Kristen (Jared Ruhl) Breeding and two great-grandchildren, Jagger and Ari Doak.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Barren Run Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Friday and after 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Dennis Ray Sprowles of Buffalo
Dennis Ray Sprowles, age 71 years, of Buffalo, passed away, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at his residence.
He was a lead maintenance supervisor at Dart Container in Horse Cave after 16 years of service, a 23rd degree mason from Long Island, New York and was a member of Fox Hollow Golf Club in Glasgow where he was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otho Lincoln Sprowles and a sister, Betty Joan Neumann.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Milton Sprowles, a son, Douglas Allen (Penelope) Sprowles of Norwalk, Ohio, his mother, Ruth Sprowles Lewis of Buffalo, a brother, Richard Lincoln Sprowles of Van Nuys, California, a granddaughter, Kristen Sprowles and a great-granddaughter, Elyse Kirsch.
Private Graveside Memorial Services will be held at Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Green County.
Charles Ray Herron of Hodgenville
Charles Ray Herron, age 69, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was the owner and operator of Herron Construction, a member of Steadfast Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Mae Herron and his father, Hubert Herron.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Riggs Herron, two sons, Ricky (Cindy) Herron of Hodgenville and Dennis Ray (Emily) Herron of Adams, TN; his mother, Nellie Mae Mather of Elizabethtown; a half-brother, Gordon Ray Mather of Elizabethtown and four grandchildren, Sarah (Ethan) Stillwell of Hodgenville, Jaide Herron and Sullie Herron both of Adams, TN and Savannah Herron of Hodgenville.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Rev. Rodney Troutman officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 PM Saturday and after 10 AM Sunday at the funeral home.

Doris Jean Katheris of New Haven
Doris Jean Katheris, age 85, of New Haven, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016, at her residence.
She was a member of Hodgenville Church of Christ and retired as Assistant Credit Manager for the old Ben Snyder in Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Angelo Katheris; her parents, Kelly and Lillian Reed Smith and a brother, Charles Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Barry) Webb of Elizabethtown, Linda (Clay) Banks of New Castle and Angela (Donald) Mausert of Radcliff; two sisters, her twin Barbara Wellons of Dickson, TN and Wanda Stallings of Jupiter, FL; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, February 22, 2016, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Brian Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM, Sunday and after 9 AM, Monday at the funeral home.
Dewey Lee Cundiff of Upton
Dewey Lee Cundiff, age 65, of Upton went to be with his Heavenly Father, on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was a loving husband of 43 years and a loving father and papaw. The former owner and operator of Cundiff Electric, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching WWE wrestling, going to yards sales, feeding his squirrels and birds and working on lawnmowers. His nickname was "Lawnmower Man". He was loved by everyone he met and will be sadly missed by his cat, Tigger and dog, Josie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Jessie Gray; his step-father, Tommy Frye; two sisters, Lorene "Tubby" Mink and Jean Mauldin and three brothers, Gilbert Gray, James "Buck" Gray and Donnie Gray.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Betty Woosley Cundiff, his father, David Paul Cundiff of Eastview; his mother, Dorothy Frye of Lebanon Junction; a daughter, LeeAnn (Thomas Sonner) Lapointe of Hodgenville; four granddaughters and a grandson, Barbara Ash, Bailey (Shane) Lapointe and Scott Ash all of Upton, Breanna Lapointe and Brooke Sonner both of Hodgenville; a great-grandchild due in July; his sisters, Pam (Steve) Jones, Jessie "Dunkie" (Donnie) Gilbert, and Kathy Woolet all of Lebanon Junction, Leona (Donald) Morgan and Kathleen (David) Edlin all of Elizabethtown, Irene (Joe) Mauldin, Susie (Henry) Gardner, Joyce (Dale) Bales and Wanda (Ronnie) Ramsey all of Hodgenville; his brothers, Oscar (Donna) Frye, Thomas (Cheryl) Frye, Jimmy (Lynn) Frye all of Lebanon Junction and Timmy (Jennifer) Frye of Brooks; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jackie Woosley, Randy (Peggy) Woosley and Judy Webb all of Elizabethtown, Bobby (Joan) Woosley of Vine Grove and James Mauldin of Hodgenville; his special friends, Amber and Nick Murray and children, Tom Benningfield and Stacey Jones and children and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Phyllis Sutherland Duncan of Buffalo
Phyllis Sutherland Duncan, age 83, of Buffalo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Campbellsville Retirement Home.
She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and a long time employee at the LaRue County Courthouse, working in the Sheriff, County Court Clerk and PVA offices.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Edna Hines Sutherland and a son-in-law, Tom Coffey.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Roscoe Duncan; a daughter, Donna Coffey of Buffalo; three grandchildren, Staci (Kris) Riggs and Traci (Steve) Weaver all of Buffalo and Ryan (Holly) Coffey of London, KY; six great-grandchildren, Layla and Bridgett Weaver, Ty and Campbell Coffey, Austin and Matthew Riggs; a sister, Carolyn (Carl) Mather of Buffalo and a brother, Donnie (Naomi) Sutherland of Buffalo.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Rev. Gordon McDowell and Rev. Ryan Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.

Allean Wright Skaggs of Hodgenville
Allean Wright Skaggs, age 96, of Hodgenville, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
She was a charter member of the Ovesen Heights Baptist Church and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Elizabethtown. She retired after 30 years of service as a Stock Record Clerk at Fort Knox and was an avid UK and LaRue County Sports fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Lloyd Skaggs; her parents, Dan and Dora Dunn Wright and a brother, Arvin Wright.
She is survived by two daughters, Madonna (Joe) Shanks and Janice Jones both of Hodgenville; a sister, Mary Eleanor Kennady of Hodgenville; two grandchildren, Tracy (Cale) Tharp and Gregory Mayfield; five great-grandchildren, Hannah (John) Stevenson, Aaron Mayfield, Allie Perkins, Chase Watson and Hilary Skaggs and two special nieces, Jo Vickery and Koochie (Gary) Routt.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2016, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Gordon McDowell, Bro. Merrill Kurtz and Cale Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Thursday and after 12 noon, Friday at the funeral home.
