Kathleen Maxine Warren French of Hodgenville
Kathleen Maxine Warren French, age 89 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. She was born on May 23, 1926.
Maxine was a member at Nolynn Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a farmer's wife, a happy homemaker and took her greatest pleasure in raising her children. One of her spiritual gifts was reaching out to others with encouraging words through phone calls, cards and letters. Her heart was full of joy and overflowed with love for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley French, Jr.; a son, Larry French; her parents, Richard A. and Lucy Thompson Warren; three sisters, Elva Allen, Nellie Bennett and Dora Warren and three brothers, Glenn Warren, Vernon Warren and Floyd Warren.
She is survived by; three sons, Ronnie (Jean) French and Brent (Sara Rose) French all of Hodgenville and Doug (Denise) French of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Valarie (Tom) Logue of Louisville; a daughter-in-law, Debbie French of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Doneda Pepe of Arizona; eleven grandchildren, Darren (Tabitha) French, Sonya French-Foster, Chad (Kellee) French, Brooke (Josh) Wright, Josh (Angel) French, Luke French, Chelsea (John) Weber, Connor Logue, Jacob Bradley French, Abigail French and Rachel French; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Foster, Peyton Foster, Corbin Wright, Cooper Wright, William French, Phillip French and Alex French and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with John Poteet and Rev. Mike Akridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Monday and after 9 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
Arnold Gardner of Hudson, formerly of Hodgenville
Arnold Gardner, age 82, of Hudson, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the Clark Memorial Hospital, in Clarksville, Indiana.
He was a retired Meat Department Manager for Houchens Markets in Hodgenville, Campbellsville and Louisville, he served four years in the United State Marine Corps attaining the rank of Sergeant and was a member of the BR Young Masonic Lodge in Hodgenville.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Creed and Vadie Carter Gardner; two sisters, Alene Clopton and Frances Powell; a brother Creed J. Gardner.
He is survived by a son, Gregory Gardner of Louisville; two brothers, LeRoy Gardner and Gerald (Margie) Gardner all of Hodgenville.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Caleb Phelps officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Hazel Lucas Crain of Hodgenville
Hazel Lucas Crain, age 93, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was housewife and a member of the Hodgenville Pentecostal Church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband's Howard David Sutton and Luther Crain; her parents Ernest Edward and Nancy Rigdon Lucas; nine brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Tonya) Crain and Cecil Crain both of Hodgenville; a daughter Myra Rudelle (Floyd) Quiggins of Louisville, six grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, and 14 great great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday, and after 9 Am Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ramona Bartley Coffey of Hodgenville
Ramona Bartley Coffey, age 50, of Hodgenville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at her residence after a nearly 11 year battle with cancer.
An Army Veteran, she was the former office/circulation manager for The LaRue County Herald News, a member of Union Christian Church, an avid hunter and fisherman and a Kentucky Colonel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph William Bartley.
She is survived by her husband, Davy Coffey; a daughter, Brittany (Austin) Smith of CA; a son, Brandon Struck of Hodgenville; a step-daughter, Jodi (Jeff) Brooks of Hodgenville; her mother, Wanda Nalley Bartley of Bardstown; two sisters, Sandra Bartley of Bardstown and Debbie (Terry) Brown of Lebanon; two brothers, Lee Bartley and Bill Bartley both of Bardstown and three grandchildren, Shelbi Brooks, Savannah Brooks and Lyndon Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, January 22, 2016, at the Union Christian Church with Rev. Steve Campbell and Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM, Thursday at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville and after 9 AM, Friday at the church.

Mary Lee Jones of Hodgenville
Mary Lee Jones, age 94 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Signature Healthcare of Elizabethtown.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hodgenville and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Saunders Dorsey.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends at Signature Healthcare.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Hubbard Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Paul Douglas Cruse of Hodgenville
Paul Douglas Cruse, age 71 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was an employee of Knight's French Mechanical in Elizabethtown, and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Betty Stoner, his parents, Paul H. and Frieda Gussler Cruse, and a sister, Linda Lou Cruse.
He is survived by two daughters, Shannon (Jason) Penna of Magnolia and Shelley (Eric) Ricketts of Cecilia, three sisters, Sharon Kay Hornback of Hodgenville, Laura Ann Anthony of Oklahoma and Lillian Hope (Jerry) Conatser of Buffalo, a brother, Bobby Joe (Peggy) Cruse of Campbellsburg, four grandchildren, Brennen (Brittany) Cruse, Corri Jones, Ashtian (Jacob) Murton and Trishtian Cruse, and two great-grandchildren, Keaton Cruse and Kylie Murton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, and after 9 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pauline Back Clemons of Hodgenville
Pauline Back Clemons, age 98 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Program, attended Valley Creek Baptist Church, and was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Clemons, a daughter, Merlin Coats, a son, Charles Edward Clemons, two sisters, Isabelle Mooney and Sally Back, a brother, Pearl Edward Bach, and her parents, Larkin and Lizzie Wilson Back.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Bush and Anna Lois Long both of Hodgenville and Joyce (Paul) Noble of Somerset, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Scott Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley Creek Cemetery in Elizabethtown.
Visitation will begin after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home until time for services.
