Joseph A. Coomer
Joseph Allen Coomer, 84, of Goggin Lane died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 13, 1916, in Danville, he was a son of William A. and Annie Sheene Coomer. He was a retired employee of Corning Glass Co. and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a former partsman at Whitehouse-Humphrey and an employee of Main Street Garage. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Pritchett Coomer; a son, James A. Coomer of Danville; three daughters, Judy Votaw, Jean Montgomery and Janet Souleyrette, all of Danville; a sister, Wynetta Patterson of Wartburg, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Amelia H. Lively
Amelia H. Lively, 76, of Dogwood Drive died Sunday at her home from the effects of cancer.
A graduate of Margaret Hall School and Centre College, she was a member and an elder of The Presbyterian Church. She was a former trustee of Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital and was active in the Hospital Auxiliary. She also had been active in the Centre Alumni Association. She is a member of Amanda O. Rodes Book Club, the Garden Club of Danville and the Study Club.
Survivors include her husband, Pierce Lively of Danville; two daughters, Susan Lively of Arlington, Va., and Kit Lively of Washington, D.C.; a son, Thad Lively of Castlerock, Colo.; and two grandsons.

Louise P. Young
Louise Phillips Young, 89, of East Jefferson Avenue died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 27, 1910, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of Hugh and Finnie Settles Phillips. She was a homemaker and a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church for 60 years. She was the widow of Amos S. Young.
Survivors include a son, Donald R. Young of Danville; three daughters, Norma Caldwell, Anna Layton and Patsy Sharp, all of Danville; a brother, Tommy Phillips of Danville; two sisters, Hazel Allen of Danville and Irene Lape of Louisville; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Mary C. Hundley
PERRYVILLE - Mary Cocanougher Hundley, 82, of Boyden Court, Danville, died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 2, 1918, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Crain Cocanougher. She was the widower of Prall Hundley. She retired in 1988 as a clerk with Watsons Department Store and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Stewart Whitehouse of Lebanon and Phyllis Young of Danville; two sons, Charles Hundley of Perryville and Lynn Hundley of Junction City; five grandchildren; and six great -grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Hall. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charles Whitehouse, Roger, Kelvin and Charles Hundley Jr., Billy and Tony Cocanougher, and Mary Angie Ornstein.
Honorary pallbearers are Dylan and Jacob Hundley.

William H. Vaught
MARTINSVILLE, Ind. - William Herman Vaught, 82, of Martinsville died Friday at Grandview Convalescent Center.
Born Dec. 3, 1917, in Liberty, he was a son of the late Sam and Leathie Edwards Vaught. He was a retired employee of International Harvester and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Stella E. Stafford Vaught; four sons, Wayne Vaught of Trafalgar, Ind., Will, Phil and Brent Vaught, all of Martinsville; two daughters, Georgine Edwards of Mooresville, Ind., and Darlene Nix of Martinsville; five brothers, Melvin, Vallas, Sam, Icie and Gene Vaught, all of Liberty; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Neal and Summers Mortuary. Burial will be in New South Park Cemetery with military rites.

NICHOLASVILLE - Services for Gregory Wilce Barnes, 22, of Lancaster will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home by the Rev. John Keyton. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
He died early Saturday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center from stab wounds received at Camp Nelson Campground.
Born in Versailles, he was a son of Nancy Ellen Barnes of Nicholasville. He was employed by Dixie Pipeline Associates and was a member of Church of God.
Additional survivors include his grandparents, Mary and James W. Barnes Jr. of Lancaster; and two brothers, Joseph and Michael Barnes.

Alan Myers Davis
SOMERSET -- A memorial service for Alan Myers Davis, 55, of Lexington will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Winchester.
Davis apparently drowned Tuesday in Lake Cumberland in Wayne County, authorities said.
Rescue officials at Lake Cumberland continue to search for Davis' body Davis, who was a retired real estate developer of Lexington. He has been missing since he walked away from his houseboat late Monday.
Wayne County rescue squad members have searched Lake Cumberland near the Beaver Creek Resort since Tuesday, but found no sign of the 65-year-old Davis.
Davis has been missing since about 11:15 p.m. Monday when he took his dog for a walk along a pier where his houseboat is docked.
Born in Somerset, Myers was a son of Dixie M. Davis of Somerset and the late Allan C. Davis. He was president of A. Myers Davis Development Co.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kimberly A. Davis of Millwood, Va.; a son, Mark A. Davis of Lexington; two brothers, Robert T. Davis of Somerset and William H. Davis of Lexington; a sister, Corliss A. Edwards of Danville.
Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday until time of service at the church.
