Harold Kenneth Doty of Glasgow
Harold Kenneth Doty, age 79 years, of Glasgow, passed away, Sunday, December 6, 2015, at his residence.
He was an Army Veteran and a former employee of Gates Rubber Company in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus H. and Louise McDougal Doty, and a sister, Gail Doty Lyas.
He is survived by three sons, Keith (Kathy) Doty and Kenneth Doty both of Elizabethtown, and Kirby Doty of Louisville, a sister, Joan (John Lee) Shipp of Hodgenville, a special friend, Colleen Wilhite, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM (EST) Saturday, December 12, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 PM (EST) Friday, and after 9 AM (EST) Saturday at the funeral home until time for services.
Troy Bennett of Elizabethtown
Troy Bennett, age 80 years, of Elizabethtown, passed away, Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a self-employed painter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edna Mae Heath Bennett, a grandson, Michael Daniel Bauer, three sisters, Mary Rose Puckett,Lilly Wilcox and Helen Grimes, and four brothers, James, Leroy, Harold, and Donald Bennett.
He is survived by a daughter, Debbie Heath of Hodgenville, two sons, Michael Bennett of Hart County and Kevin (Sharon) Bennett of Hodgenville, a grandson, Doug Heath of Elizabethtown, a special friend, Betty Hart, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Gordon McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery in Upton.
Visitation will begin after 10 AM Wednesday until time for services at the funeral home.
Glen Jolly of Elizabethtown
Glen Jolly, age 70 years, of Elizabethtown, passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Kensington Center Nursing Home in Elizabethtown.
He was a retired concrete truck driver for Kentucky Concrete in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Lucille Huff Jolly, and a sister, Barbara Jean Mossburger.
He is survived by his wife, Donna McClure Jolly, two daughters, Lisa Jolly of Hodgenville and Amber Dawn McClure of Elizabethtown, and a grandson, Blake Ryan "Tator" McClure.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Kim Flaugher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Buffalo.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday, and after 9 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Vanessa Colleen Hensley of Hodgenville
Vanessa Colleen Hensley, age 82 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at her residence.
She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Loretta Hensley and Gisele Cochran, two sons, Gordon Cochran and Joel Cochran, and her parents, Oral and Lucy Hicks Shearer.
She is survived by three daughters, Kay (Felix) Newton of Hodgenville, Ceven Bates of Indiana, and Bridgette (Bryan) Wolford of North Carolina, five sons, Hubert Cochran and David (Karen) Cochran both of Buffalo, Jasper (Gail) Cochran of Radcliff, Perry Cochran of White City, and Mark Cochran of Colorado, eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Jeff Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Band Cemetery near Howardstown.
Visitation will be 2-8 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Lura B. Vance Walsh of Hodgenville
Lura Vance Walsh, age 102 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church, longtime member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Walsh, her parents, Charlie and Lillie Close Vance, two sisters, Grace Brooks and Dorothy Hornback, two brothers, Curtis Vance and Lee Vance, a niece, Betty Dunn, a nephew, Donnie Hornback, and a special friend, Eldred Hutcherson.
She is survived by four nieces, Donna Sherrard, June Huffman, Judy Goatley, and Leona Polly, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Gordon McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday, and after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Randy Williams of Mt. Sherman
Randy Lee Williams, age 49, of Mt. Sherman, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of the Union Christian Church; a graduate of Kentucky Christian University and was a former social worker for LaRue and Hardin Counties.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Randolff and Martha Copley Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Finley) Williams; two daughters, Amanda Lynn Williams and Misty Dawn Chadwick, both of Elizabethtown and three granddaughters, Cassandra Lynn Hendricks, Jamie Paige Parker and Marti Denise Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Steve Campbell officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation begins after 10 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions toward the funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.
Junior Wheeler of Hodgenville
Junior Wheeler, age 79, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, November 05, 2015, at his residence.
He was retired from Thompson Sawmill and a former deliveryman for Tastee Bread.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Curn Wheeler Sr. and Ethel Hawkins Wheeler; a sister, LaVanna "Cricket" Bowen.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Tharp Wheeler; a son, Ricky Wheeler of Hodgenville; a brother, L.D. Wheeler of Sonora; three grandchildren, Jennifer Maxwell, Jason Wheeler and Heather Wheeler; three great-grandchildren, Alex Poore, Irrissa Maxwell and Naomi Wheeler.
No visitation is scheduled, there will be a private family service.
