Lewis Harold Perkins of Hodgenville
Lewis Harold Perkins, age 85, of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, October 30, 2015, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was retired LaRue County Soil Conservation Agent and school bus driver for LaRue County Schools, a member of the Hodgenville First Baptist Church and a 54 year member of the B. R. Young Lodge #132 F & AM.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Herald Gobel and Gladys Fraser Perkins and a brother, Tony Perkins.
He is survived by his wife of 61 1/2 years, Jean Becker Perkins; three sons, Craig (LeAnne) Perkins of Elizabethtown, Brian (Pam) Perkins of Hodgenville and Kyle (Tiffany) Perkins of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Christina Stivers, Daniel Perkins, Katie Perkins, Dylan Perkins, Emily Perkins and Logan Perkins and four great-grandchildren, Austin McClain, Courtney Sams, Hailey Sams and Wyatt Stivers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, November 2, 2015, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Dr. Paul Richey officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM, Sunday, with masonic rites at 7 PM and after 10 AM Monday at the funeral home.
James Lloyd Dever of Elizabethtown
James Lloyd Dever, age 69, of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was retired from the City of Elizabethtown Public Works Department and the Courier Journal.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Vaughn and Lula Belle Wilkins Dever and a granddaughter, Brittany Dobson.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Sweet Dever; six children, Melissa Dever Dobson and Tessa Dever both of Hodgenville, Ty Dever of Georgetown, Jamie Signorino of Elizabethtown, Shane Dever of Burgin and Adam Dever of Louisville; three sisters, Faye Prather, Connie Underwood and Terri McDowell; a brother, David Dever; nine grandchildren, Larry Carter, Cody Dever, Zachary Edwards, Kasey Dobson, Skylar Dever, Sydney Dobson, Kaitlyn Poe, Lesley Edwards and Savannah Ratliff and five great-grandchildren.
In keeping with James' wishes he will be cremated and the family will hold a private service at a later date.

John E. "Jack" Logsdon of Hodgenville
John E. "Jack" Logsdon, age 88 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, October 26, 2015 at the Helmwood Nursing Home in Elizabethtown.
He was a member of Salem Christian Church, a retired mechanic with Donohue Ferrill Motor Company, after almost 40 years of service, an avid race car and University of Kentucky Wildcat fan, and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Logsdon, his parents, Clayborn and Jenny Houchens Logsdon, two sisters, Louise Hoback and Rosetta Gibson, and a brother, Jim Logsdon.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy Logsdon of Hodgenville and David (Linda) Logsdon of Magnolia, a sister, Maggie Bright of Louisville, four grandchildren, Millie (Michael) Massie, Teri (Bryan) Eastridge, Trista (Jason) Whitlow, and Chad (Hillary) Logsdon all of Hodgenville, nine great-grandchildren, Cullen Logsdon, Katie Massie, Ryan Massie, Delany Eastridge, Taylor Eastridge, Chloe Whitlow, Gage Logsdon, Sophie Logsdon, and Emily Whitlow, and two great-great-grandchildren, Grayson and Garrett.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday, and after 9 AM Friday at the funeral home.
Ruth Wilkins Nicholas of Hodgenville
Ruth Wilkins Nicholas, age 82 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was a member of Salem Christian Church, a homemaker, and a former employee of Middleton & Marcum's in Hodgenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nicholas, her parents, Hobert L. and Safrona Ann Nicholas Wilkins, two sisters, Mattie Rule and Jean Crowe, and four brothers, Walter, Nicholas, Kelly and Charles Wilkins.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Dane) Pickerell and Mona (Doug) Bell both of Hodgenville, a sister, Ramona Dever of Elizabethtown, two grandsons, Nick (Jessica) Pickerell and John Bell, and a great-granddaughter, Ella Price Bain.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday, and after 9 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Antoinette Anna Burch, 90, of Flaherty, KY, died Sunday, September 24, 2006 at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation Center, Radcliff, KY.
She was preceded in death by husbands, John T. Rhodes and Romy Burch; and a son, Jerry Rhodes.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Adkisson of Erlanger, KY, five sons, John T. "Jack" Rhodes, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Flaherty, David W. Rhodes and his wife Joy of Louisville, KY, Joseph "Joe" Rhodes and his wife Jan of Morrow, OH, Howard Thomas "Tip" Burch of Ekron, Sammy and Fran Burch of Ekron; a brother, Frank Strieble of Arthur, IL; a sister, Joann Magee of Palestine, TX; twenty-five grandchildren; sixty-one great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Flaherty with Rev. Paul Beach officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Rev. John Daniel Neese, 81, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.
He was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God since 1954. In 1966 he brought the Assembly of God Church to Griffith, IN (now, Grace Assembly, Cline Ave., Griffith, IN).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Adam Neese and Lulu Marie Neese (Marlow); and a brother, Marvin Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Darlene (Hammett) Neese; three sons and daughter, Marshall and Louise Neese, Stephan and Bonnie Neese, Greg and Sherri Neese, Becky and Mark Sewell; ten grandchildren, Shad and Robin Neese, Ryan and Michelle Neese, Jason Neese, Amanda and Chad Graves, Daryl Neese, Corey Neese, Ashley and Josh Parent, Brianne Sewell, Jordan Sewell, Robert Fedorachek; six great-grandchildren; Kaitlin Neese, Dylan Neese, Mason Neese, Colton Hegge, Haley Neese and Hannah Neese; three brothers, Jerry and Betty Neese, David Neese, Donavan and Pat Neese; two sisters, Joyce and Doyle Hull and Patricia Lu Snow.
