Pauline Johnson Underwood
Pauline Johnson Underwood, 85, of Showalter Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Georgetown Community Hospital. She was the wife of the late Stanley Underwood.
A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late George Dennie and Julia Gardner Johnson and a member of Gano Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Michaeleen R. Johnson, of Shawnee, Okla.; two granddaughters, Paula (Larry) Herrin, of Georgetown, Texas, and Emily Johnson, of Dale, Texas; six great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a brother, Charles C. (Mildred) Johnson, of Georgetown; two sisters-in-law, Joan Johnson and Emma Underwood; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Emmett L. Johnson; a grandson, Stanley D. Johnson; a great-grandson, Larry Herrin Jr.; a sister, Elizabeth McCombs; and three brothers, Kenneth, George Jr. and Roy G. Johnson.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, in Crestlawn Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Russell officiating.

Patti A. Tracy
Patti A. Tracy, 52, of Park Place Court in Paris, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was the wife of Wesley Tracy.
Born Sept. 22, 1952, in Scott County, she was the daughter of John Gillispie and Jessica Darnell Jones. She was a licensed optician and retail manager for LensCrafters in Lexington. She was a member and choir member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cynthiana. She was a former member of the Lions Club. She enjoyed reading, music, sports and was an avidUniversity of Kentucky fan.
Survivors include her father, John (Barbara) Gillispie, of Georgetown; her mother, Jessica Darnell Jones, of Cynthiana; a son, Brian Shewmaker, of Montgomery, Ala.; two daughters, Teri (Robert) Davidson and Lisa (Rip) Walden, both of Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Wanda (Richard) Sgro, of Cynthiana and Sandy, of Tennessee; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Randall Ray Gillispie, and her sister, Ruth Stokes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home with Pastor David Sabella officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Ira Thomas "Tommy" Franklin
Ira Thomas "Tommy" Franklin, 85, of West Mill Street, Cynthiana, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Pauline L. Franklin.
He was born in Harrision County on May 21, 1919, to the late Ira J. and Mattie Wash Franklin. He was a retired 3M Co. employee, a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, a World War II army veteran and a member of American Legion Post #165.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Charles Sr.) James, of Dayton, Ohio, and Jacqueline (John) Custard, of Bellevue, Neb.; a son, George Ferguson, of Los Angeles; two brothers, Estill Franklin, of Paris, and William E. (Mae) Franklin, of Augusta, Ga.; four sisters, Mollie (John) White, of Lexington, Virginia (William) Logan, of Lexington, Sara (Isaac) King, of Lexington, and Mary McLemore, of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Charles James Jr., Camille James, Carol Custard, Paulette Custard, Greg Custard and John Custard; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marcellus Franklin and James Franklin; and two sisters, Julia Taylor and Eliza Blake.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Elgan Reynolds officiating.
Burial was in Cherry Grove Cemetery.

James Edward Finch
James Edward Finch, 70, of Paris Pike, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at the Hospice Care Center. He was the husband of Phyllis Carew Finch.
A native of Bourbon County, he was the son of the late Luther and Margaret Wagoner Finch and served in the 546th Military Police Company in the U.S. Army. He was a factory representative for the automotive paint division of Sherwin-Williams Paint Company in central and eastern Kentucky before he retired after 34 years of service. He was a life-long member of the Newtown Christian Church, where he served as board chairman, treasurer, deacon and elder.
Survivors include two sons, Allen Lee Finch and James "Jamie" Edward (Bethany) Finch II; three grandchildren, Todd Michael Finch, Courtney LeeAnn Finch and Hailey Hope Finch; a sister-in-law, Alline West, all of Georgetown; a special friend, Jeannie Ritchie; and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Dana Lynne Finch, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Newtown Christian Church, with the Rev. Bob Franz and the Rev. Will Feland officiating.
Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Bobby and Troy Rankin, Floyd Shingleton, John McKenney, Glenn Henderson, Bobby Parker, Jess Cosby and Dr. Ray Wechman. Honorary bearers will be Glen Abel, Garnett Prather, Bob Cooke and the deacons and elders of Newtown Christian Church.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Johnson's Funeral Home.

Ruth Renee Lynn
Ruth Renee Lynn, 34, of Stamping Ground, died Nov. 30, 2004, at Georgetown Community Hospital. She was the daughter of R.C. Lynn, of Stamping Ground, and the late Carolyn Russell Hughes Lynn.
She was a graduate of Scott County High School and the University of Kentucky. She was a member of Stamping Ground Chrisitan Church and was a tutor for Stamping Ground Elementary School.
Survivors include a sister, Melanie Dawn Lynn, of Stamping Ground; a brother, Bart Patrick (Theresa) Lynn, of Stamping Ground; a niece, Piper Madison Lynn; a nephew, Robert Charles Lynn, of Stamping Ground; and a host of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Stamping Ground Christian Church, with the Rev. Bruce Breeding and the Rev. Dinsmore Nisbet officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 3, 2004, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home.

Thelma Marie Thompson, 81
Thelma Marie Thompson, 81, a resident of Berry, Ky., died Friday, April 11, 2003 at her home.
She was born June 16, 1921 in Needmore, Ky., Harrison County, and was the daughter of the late William Henry and Alma Bedford (Stone) Limerick. She was a retired employee of the former Jockey International Co. in Cynthiana, and a member of Stringtown Christian Church, Grant County.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Robert and Albert Franklin Limerick, and sisters, Cora Allene Ryan, Fannie Belle Dunaway, and Anna Reid (Poodle) Thompson, and four half siblings.
Survivors include: her husband, Ralph Wilson Thompson of Marcus, Ky. in Pendleton County; her children, Jerry Thompson of Dry Ridge, Keith Thompson of Falmouth, Dale Beagle of Berry, and Linda Thompson of Corinth; seven grandchildren, Teresa McKenney, Robbie Thompson, Scott Beagle, Chad Thompson, Amber Thompson, Matthew Thompson, and Cecelia Lawson; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 15 at Woodhead Funeral Home, Berry, by Bro. Hank McAdams. Burial was in Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry. Memorials may be made to Stringtown Christian Church, Grant County, or the Hospice of Hope in Maysville.
Pallbearers were: Greg Thompson, Mark Thompson, Bruce Thompson, Doug Dunaway, Jeff Limerick, and Pat Limerick.
