William Earl Moore, 90
William Earl Moore, 90, a resident of Old Lair Road, Cynthiana, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at his home.
He was born in Monroe County, April 15,1914, to the late Avery Green and Cora Ford Moore. He was a retired farmer and a member of Boyers Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Hassie Botts Moore whom he married
Oct. 5,1936; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Nancy Moore of Harrison County; a sister, Effie (Clyde) Shaw of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Connie (Mike) Goodwin and Terry (Laurann) Moore, all of Harrison County, and Jimmy (Belinda) Moore of Paris; five great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 27 at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Jones. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Jimmy Moore, Terry Moore, Mike Goodwin, Jimbo Moore, Doug Burns and John Laytart.
Honorary pallbearers were: Harold Herron, Dr. A.C. Wright, Ralph Parsley, Randall Parsley, Joe Smith and Mike Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Boyers Chapel United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Madeleine Grant Fryman, 81
Madeleine Grant Fryman, 81, a resident of Ammerman Pike, Cynthiana, Ky., died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at her residence.
She was born May 30, 1923 in Clark County, Ky. to the late James Elbert and Sarah Elizabeth Owens Grant. She had been an employee of Hansley Mills/Bluegrass Industries, and was a member of Lair United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elbert and Bill Grant, and one sister, Christine Fickertt.
Survivors include: her husband, Elmer Jacob Fryman; one son, James Elmer Fryman and daughter-in-law Linda of Harrison County; one daughter, Frances Jolene Ferguson and son-in-law, Herman of Corinth, Ky.; three brothers, Frank, Stoney and Jack Grant; four sisters, Betty Ferguson, Ruth Dailey, Ruby Riffe, and Peggy McConnell; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Fryman, Stacie Eckler, Toby Cloyd, Kimberly Parr, Madeleine Walker, Greg Stubbs, and MaIissa Floyd; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Tuesday, July 20, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, by the Rev. Harold Mattox. Burial was in Raven Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lair United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Pallbearers were: Johnny Ferguson, Greg Stubbs, Shannon Walker, Timmy Parr, Jeremy Fryman, Tony Eckler, and Winford Floyd.
Ruth A. Crouch, 68
Ruth A. Crouch, 68, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at her home.
A graduate of St. Elizabeth Nursing College in Covington, Ky., she was a registered nurse, and was active in the Immanuel United Methodist Church, Lakeside Park, Kentucky.
Survivors include several cousins.
Graveside services were held Saturday, July 24, 2004 at the Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry by the Rev. Donna Jones officiating. Woodhead Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Roseina Mains Bruin, 91
Roseina Mains Bruin, 91, a resident of Cynthiana, formerly of Falmouth, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, at Grand Haven Nursing Home in Cynthiana.
She was born in Pendleton County, Ky., on April 13, 1913. She was the daughter of Charlie and Capitola Cooper Mains, and a member of Antioch Mills Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Bruin; sons, Robert Bruin and Billy C. Lucas; daughters, Junita Bruin and Cora Mae Colvin; brothers, Shelby and Hansel Mains, and a sister, Alberta Gallagher.
Survivors include: sons, L.W. and Shelby Bruin, both of Falmouth, Ky.; daughters, Rubye L. Cooper of Berry, Ky. and Naomi Teegarden of Falmouth; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Wednesday, June 16, at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, by Bro. Bill Wilson and Bro. Chad Doerr.
Pallbearers were: Charles L. and Rodney L. Cooper, Terry L. Lonaker, Richard D., Robert W., and Bradley Bruin.
Honorary pallbearers were: David Bruin, Craig Schlueter, Kristen Schlueter, Sonny Lonaker, Timothy D., Charles E. Cooper, and Travis Lonaker.

Lori Jane King Parks, 40, of Stratton Pike in Harrison County, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004.
She was born January 24, 2004 in Harrison County to Jack R. and Wanda T. Rose King. She was a homemaker and member of Benson United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, David Parks; two children, Nelson Keith and Jackie Kate Parks; a brother, Timothy R. (Tammy) King of Abilla, In.; a sister, Sandy (Gary) Hill of Daytona, Fla.; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2004 at Ware Funeral Home by Travis Jones. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday.

Kathryn J. Tilton Wilson, 49, of Cynthiana, died Monday, July 26, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington.
Born September 14, 1954 in Harrison County to Loretta Tilton and the late Harry Lewis Tilton, she was a homemaker and member of the First Church of God.
Survivors include: her husband, Michael L. Wilson; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian L. Wilson and Kevin L. and Rebekah Wilson of Cynthiana; a sister, Susan Lanai Bishop; foster and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 30, 2004 at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Gary McQuain. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004.

Marjorie Hixon Taylor, 79
Marjorie Hixon Taylor, 79, a resident of Cynthiana, Ky., died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Trilogy Health Center in Cynthiana.
She was born in Great Bend, Kansas on Nov. 29, 1924 to the late Louis Gordon and Florence Lawson Hixon. She was a member of Cynthiana Christian Church and was preceded in death by a son, Michael C. Taylor, and a daughter, Shannon Raye Taylor.
Survivors include: her husband, Vard J. Taylor; a daughter-in-law, Veronica J. Taylor; four grandchildren, Lisa Murphy, Andrew Taylor, Joshua Taylor, and Matthew Taylor; and one great-grandson, Thomas Horton.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, July 27 at Pythian Grove Cemetery by the Rev. Eddie Benton. Memorials may be made to Trilogy Health Center or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
