LEXINGTON -- Mary Alice Foster, 81, formerly of Parksville, died Sunday at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home, Paris.
Born in Parksville, she was a daughter of the late William Wesley and Mary Alice Johnson Gaddis and moved to Lexington over 40 years ago. She was a charter member of Lafayette Christian Church and the Johnson Circle. She was the widow of William Barry Foster.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Brennan of Paris; a son, Larry Foster of Lexington; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.
Memorials may go to Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Fannie M. Saylor
LANCASTER -- Fannie Helton Major Saylor, 94, of Madison Manor Nursing Home, Richmond, died Monday at Pattie A. Clay Hospital, Richmond.
Born Aug. 22, 1905, in Leslie County, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma Milton Helton. She was a homemaker and attended the Church of God. She was the widow of George W. Saylor.
Survivors include two sons, Earl E. Major of Lancaster and Ralph Major of Richmond; a daughter, Thelma M. Gullett of Seamons, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Flossie S. Waller of Farmersville, Ohio; two sisters, Lizzie M. Stevens of Ohio and Margie H. Adams of Crab Orchard; and 25 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, James and Dallas Major; two stepdaughters, Georgette Pettit and Lucy Burgermier; and a stepson, Clyde Saylor.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Harris. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rick Bryant, Timothy Tuggle, Clayton Lear, Blake Burchell, and Billy and Clyde Major

Henry Stinnett
LANCASTER -- Services for Henry "June" Stinnett Jr., 60, of White Oak Road will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Daryl Hodge. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
He died Sunday at home.
Born July 26, 1939, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Henry and Lillie M. Prather Stinnett. He was a carpenter and also worked for Mom Blakeman Candies.
Survivors include a companion, Pam Sebastian of Lancaster; and two half-sisters, Christine Morrow of Brooksville, Miss., and Margaret Gatliff of Kokomo, Ind.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Harris, Kenneth "Skinner" Prewitt, Joe Montgomery, and Ronnie, Tim and Larry Nunemaker. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Greer, J.R. Hopkins, Manford Bolton, Pat Jones, and Adam and Rob Montgomery.

Wallace Campbell
Wallace Campbell, 84, formerly of Danville, died Saturday at the Homestead Nursing Home in Lexington.
Born Nov. 29, 1915, in Hagertown, Md., he was a son of the late David and Nora Turner Campbell. He was a retired Army sergeant, former member of the American Legion and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Averitt Campbell of Nicholasville; two sons, Dennis Lee and Timothy Wayne Campbell, both of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two step-daughters, Charlotte Goldey and Theresa Osbourne, both of Lexington; and three step-grandchildren.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery by Jerry Lester with military rites by the Fort Knox Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

William "Billy" Wayne Lane II, 38, of Douglas Avenue, Stanford, died June 21 from head injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash on Goggin Lane. His body was recovered Sunday.

LIBERTY -- Hazel Leigh, 86, of Chestnut Level Road died Saturday at the Casey County Hospital.
Born July 23, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Speed and Sally Baldock Brackett. She was a homemaker and member of Athens Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Leigh; a son, Sherril Leigh of Fairfield, Ohio; six daughters, Patricia Douglas of Gravel Switch, and Phyllis Chadwell, Charlene Mathews, Marcella Coffman, Regina Taylor and Velma Martin, all of Liberty; three brothers, Edward and Wallace Brackett of Liberty, and John Brackett of Bowling Green; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Chapel by James D. McDonald. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

LIBERTY -- James Robert Raley, 40, of West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Casey County, died June 22 in an auto accident.
He was born June 8, 1960, in Louisville and was a son of Elizabeth Shoopman Raley of Ft. Lauderdale Fla., and the late Robert Raley.
Survivors include two sons, James and Frankie Raley of New Castle, Ind.; a brother, Gregory Raley of Ft. Lauderdale; three sisters, Barbara Slater of West Palm Beach, Susan Humance of Ft. Lauderdale and Paula Agurvis of Jacksonville, Fla.
Graveside services were today at the Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville, by the Rev. Joseph Dawson.

Clifton J. Durham, Sr.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Clifton James Durham Sr., 77, a native of Lincoln County, died Saturday in Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 7, 1922, in Stanford, he was a son of the late James Marion and Rebecca Fox Durham and the widow of Margaret L. Durham. He was a food manager for Veterans Administration Hospital for 33 years and a highly decorated World War II Army veteran. He received the American Theater Ribbon, Asiaitic-Pacific Theater ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal and World War II Bronze Arrowhead Medal. He was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton J. Durham Jr. and Stephen M. Durham; five daughters, Norma J. Kirchhofer, Marilyn E. Shurtleff, P. Jane Montgomery, Ruth A. Dearth and Alice J. Neely; a brother, Johnny Durham of Stanford; a sister, Gertrude Brent of Stanford; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be noon Wednesday at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Allie B. Spradlin
Services for Allie Bell Spradlin, 82, of Lexington Avenue will be noon Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial in the McKinney Cemetery.
She died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 5, 1919, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late George and Merty Martin Hughes. She was a homemaker and the widow of Chadwick Spradlin.
Survivors include a daughter, Eva Mae Shannon of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, James Perry Hoover of Brodhead and Willis Dunn of Marion County; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Marvin W. Clements
LIBERTY -- Services for Marvin W. Clements, 68, of Ky. 70 were held today at St. Bernard Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph Hall. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He died Saturday at the Casey County Hospital.
Born April 2, 1932, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Lafe and Lena Wethington Clements. He was a retired Columbia Gulf equipment operator, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Foster Clements; two daughters, Cathy Holt and Debbie Farris, both of Liberty; a son, Bryan Clements of Liberty; a brother, Joseph Clements of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Audra Clements of Liberty; and three grandchildren.

James F. Rourke
SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- James F. Rourke, a Paris native who was an editor of the Lexington Leader and then went on to work for the federal government in Washington, D.C., died Saturday at age 77.
Rourke served as a navigator with the Trooper Carrier Command in World War II, dropping supplies to partisans behind German lines in Yugoslavia and Northern Italy.
He attended the University of Kentucky and upon graduation, he went to work first as a reporter, then editor for the Leader.
He later worked for the Indianapolis Times and eventually signed on with the U.S. Commerce Department as an information officer for its international trade unit. Along the way, he co-wrote a mystery novel, "Teach You a Lesson, " with fellow Kentuckian Hollis Summers.
Rourke's wife, Mary Denton McChesney, a Lexington native, died in 1994.
Rourke is survived by three daughters, two sons, four siblings and more than a dozen grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Collins Funeral Home of Silver Spring, Md.
