William Arvie Tucker, 82, Lebanon, died at 3:35 a.m. Feb. 29, 2000, at Norton Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.

Charles L. Borders Sr., 88
Charles L. Borders Sr., 88, Lebanon, died at 2 a.m. April 21, 2004, at his residence.
Born Sept. 22, 1915, in Marion County, Borders attended St. Mary's College and was a lifelong and devout member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Third and Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Until his retirement, "Charlie" owned and operated A. Borders and Sons in Lebanon for 54 years. Charles was a charter member of the Lebanon Kiwanis Club, a member of the Board of Directors at St. Mary's College Seminary and was named Businessman of the Year by the Lebanon/Marion County Chamber of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Arnold and Emma McCain Borders; a granddaughter, Kirsten Borders; and a son-in-law, Edward Killian.
Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, "Margie" Filiatreau Borders of Lebanon; two sons and wives, Charles L. "Montie" Borders Jr. (Judy Blanding) of Los Aptos, Calif., and Paul Douglas "Doug" Borders (Sue) of Owensboro; five daughters and husbands, Linda Borders-Killian of Orange County, Calif., Elaine Borders Simms (Hamilton) of Springfield, Marilyn Borders Murley (Jim) of Elizabethtown, Joanne Borders Bramel (John) of Lebanon and Jennifer Borders Cowley (Jim) of Lexington; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held April 23 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jerry Bell, Deacon Joe Ray Dant, The Most Rev. John J. McRaith, Rev. John Lesousky and Rev. Tom Clark officiated.
Pallbearers were Chuck, Lewis, Stephen and Mark Borders, Thomas and Luke Murley, Jonathan, Zachary and Gordon Bramel, Kevin, Thomas Green and John Michael Cowley and John Martin Simms.

O.C. Wiser, 72, Lebanon, died at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at his residence.
Born Nov. 7, 1931, in Marion County, Wiser was a dairy and tobacco farmer.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, John Wallace and Gracie Russell Wiser; a son, Ronald Coleman Wiser; a sister, Corine Colvin; and four brothers, James Wesley, Russell, Pete, Bill and Irvin Wiser.
Survivors include: his wife, Edith Mae Howell Wiser of Lebanon; a son, Roger Dale Wiser of Lebanon; a daughter, Betty Ann Hourigan of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Bethany James of Bowling Green, Lorie Hourigan, Jackie Wiser, Kristie Wiser and Cole Wiser, all of Lebanon; four brothers, Carl Ray Wiser, Harry Wiser and Arnold B. Wiser, all of Lebanon and junior Wiser of Springfield; and two sisters, Loretto Wright of Lebanon and Bessie Bell Clark of Campbellsville.
Funeral services were held Feb. 16, 2004, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville. Bro. Troy Shelton officiated.

Teresa Montgomery Leachman, 86, Springfield, died Feb. 21, 2004, at Norton Audubon Hospital, Louisville.
Born Feb. 21, 1918, in Washington County, Leachman formerly worked at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Lebanon and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, William Thomas Leachman; parents, Matthew Columbus and Mahala O'Daniel Montgomery; a son, Glenn Anthony Leachman; a daughter, "Sissy" Leachman Hopper; four brothers, Simon, Charles, Columbus and Ray Montgomery; and three sisters, Katherine Montgomery, Rose Nally and Louise McPherson.
Survivors include: three sons, Bill Leachman of Lebanon, Ben Leachman of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Stephen Leachman of Bardstown; two daughters, Mahala Leachman of Frankfort and Anna Leachman Carrico of Springfield; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 24 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Springfield, with burial in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery. Rev. Culpepper Elliott officiated.

Owen Wilkerson Jr., 78, Virginia Ave., Springfield, died at 6:29 p.m. Feb. 22, 2004, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
Born Feb. 5, 1926, in Marion County, Wilkerson was a former owner and operator of the Springfield Locker Plant and Slaughter House. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and a Navy Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Owen Wilkerson Sr. and Susie Elliott Wilkerson; six brothers, Edgar, Raymond, Lee, J.W., Henry and Buck Wilkerson; and two sisters, Gracie Simpson and Hallie Donnelley.
Survivors include: his wife, Edith Carney; four sons, Gary Wilkerson of Chattanooga, Tenn., Roger Wilkerson of Springfield, Troy Wilkerson of Lexington and David Wilkerson of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Margaret Huddleston of Pontiac, Mich., and Sadie Brockman of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 25, at Springfield Baptist Church with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery, Springfield. Rev. Bland Mason, pastor of Springfield Baptist Church, will officiate and Rev. Rick Shannon will assist.
