Nicholas Donahue, 69
Nicholas "Nick" Donahue, 69, Bardstown, died July 27, 2004, at his residence.
A native of Nelson County, Donahue was a retired label operator in the bottling house at Barton Brands Ltd. in Bardstown and member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bardstown.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, James Adam and Mary Roxie Clark Donahue; a sister, Aline Clark; four brothers, Leon, Richard, Rodney and his triplet Jody Donahue; and twin grandsons, Zachary and Nicholas Donahue.
Survivors include: four daughters, Sherry Matherly of Elizabethtown, Jan St. Clair of Lyons Station, Laura Evans of Hodgenville and Pam Downs of New Haven; four sons, Jeff Donahue of Somerset and Tommy, Eddie and Kenny Donahue, all of Bardstown; a sister, Dorothy Nalley of New Haven; a triplet brother, Paul Donahue of Bloomfield; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 29 at St. Thomas Church in Bardstown with burial in the church cemetery. Father Steve Pohl officiated.

Cora Nell Kearney, 75
Cora Nell Kearney, 75, Campbellsville, died July 22, 2004, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon.
Kearney was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Taylor County.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Addie Lee Radford Kearney; five brothers, George, Otis, Homer, Henry and Chester Kearney; and four sisters, Mamie Kearney, Dollie Swaford, Lizzie Stubbs and Ann Kearney.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jackie Emerson of Campbellsville and Margie Farmer of Louisville; two sons, Tommy and David Kearney, both of Campbellsville; two brothers, Marvin Kearney of Plano, Ill., and James Lee Kearney of Campbellsville; two sisters, Mattie Lewis and Mary Davis, both of Campbellsville; and three grandchildren.
Karney was cremated and her funeral services were held July 31 at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon. Rev. Vic Stansbury officiated.

Joseph Douglas Cambron, 48
Joseph Douglas Cambron, 48, Raywick, died July 26, 2004, at his residence.
Cambron was born Aug. 11, 1955, in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Charles Chester "Check" Cambron; and a brother, John Barry Cambron.
Survivors include: his mother, Grace Irene "Sis" Cambron of Raywick; maternal grandmother, Josephine Mattingly of Raywick; a sister, Brenda Johnson of Lebanon; and two brothers, George and Dennis Cambron, both of Raywick.
A funeral Mass was held July 29 at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Rev. James W. Graf was chief celebrant.
Pallbearers were nieces and nephews, Chuck, Mark, Jason, Mikie, Matt and Shelly Cambron, Jay Hutchins, Craig and Tracy Johnson and Gigi Edelen.
Mattingly Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Donald Keith Raley, 60
Donald Keith Raley, 60, Bardstown, died at 12:24 a.m. July 28, 2004, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.
Born May 12, 1944, in Marion County, Raley was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Paul and Mary Elizabeth Gribbins Raley; and a brother, Harold Raley.
Survivors include: his wife, Anna Sallee Raley; a daughter, Paula Gabehart; his stepfather, Calvin Pittman of Loretto; stepmother, Louise Raley of Springfield; two half-brothers, Bruce Pittman of Loretto and Brad Pittman of St. Mary; two half-sisters, Vicki Kelly of Springfield and Paula Wise of Campbellsville; and a grandson.
Funeral services were held July 30 at the Carey and Son Funeral Home in Springfield with burial in Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville. Rev. Earl Hazel, pastor of the Church of God at Willisburg, officiated.
Pallbearers were Bruce Pittman, Joshua and John Sallee, Johnny and Joe Lanham Jr. and Clint Varnell.

Cathy Louise Thomas, 48
Cathy Louise Thomas, 48, Louisville, died at 10:16 p.m. May 31, 2004, at Caritas Medical Center in Louisville.
Born March 5, 1956, in Marion County, Thomas was owner of Thomas and Sons Trucking Company.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Peyton Douglas Quinn; and maternal grandparents, John and Effie Sullivan.
Survivors include: her husband, David Allen Thomas of Louisville; mother, Christine Quinn White of Lebanon; two sons, Cory Allen Thomas and David Jordan Thomas, both of Louisville; two brothers, Floyd Douglas Quinn of Lexington and Johnny Hourigan of Lebanon; and two sisters, Beverly Thomas of Lebanon and Melissa Buckman of Calvary.
A funeral Mass was held June 3 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Raywick, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jeff Nicholas officiated and Rev. Jim Graf assisted.
Active pallbearers were Raffey Buckman, Donnie Simpson, Jimmy Thomas, Bill Taylor, Tommy Troutman and Buddy Coffman.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Troutman, Michael Hutchins, Stuart Thomas, Adam and Aaron Erhardt and Scott Townsley.

Mae Bird Cooksey Hale, 95
Mae Bird Cooksey Hale, 95, Willisburg, died at 3 p.m. May 29, 2004, at the Springfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 16, 1908 in Washington County, Hale was a member of Willisburg Christian Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, James Elzie Hale; parents, Luther Burton and Annie Moore Cooksey; a grandson, Robert Lee Hale; a great-granddaughter, Laura Beth Hale; and five brothers, Melwood, Russell, Pascal, Birchell and Willie Cooksey.
Survivors include: two sons, Bobby Hale of Willisburg and L.W. Hale of Springfield; two daughters, Maxine Coleman of Louisville and Marianna Mattingly of Lebanon; a brother, Loraine Cooksey of Harrodsburg; 11 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 1 at Willisburg Christian Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Willisburg. Bro. Greg Bowen officiated and Bro. Adam Hale, a great-grandson, assisted.
Pallbearers were grandsons-Michael Coleman, Eddie Pulliam and Blair, Mark, Darrell and John Hale.
Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters-Ruth Ann Hale Tarter, Mary Beth Hale Blake, Cheri Pulliam Clark, Mitzi Pulliam Early and Monica Pulliam Henning.
