Ruby Hancock Roland
ONTON -- Ruby Hancock Roland, 96, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.
She was a member of Onton United Methodist Church. She was also a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John K. Roland, who died in 1965.
Survivors include four daughters, June Pepperted, Sue Thomasson, and Shirley Nance, all of Onton, and Wanda Qualls of Sebree; three sons, Bob Roland of Slaughters, Ronnie Roland of Sebree, and Jack Roland of Clark Summit, Pa.; one sister, Edith Roland of Onton; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tompkins Funeral Homes Sebree-Poole Chapel. The Revs. Selby Coomer and Billy Raby will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Frances Frederick Winstead
MADISONVILLE -- Frances Frederick Winstead, 74, formerly of Slaughters, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, at the Regional Medical Center here.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud B. "C.B." Winstead, who died in 1998; one daughter; and one son.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Winstead and Tammy Graham, both of Madisonville; five sisters, Roeita Towe, Mary Winstead, and Sandra Harmon, all of Henderson, Ann Hampton of Madisonville, and Edna Winstead of Clay; one brother, Curtis Frederick of Madisonville; two grandchildren; one great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Tompkins Funeral Homes Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. The Rev. Archie Oliver will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Charlene M. Bennett
TACOMA, Wash. -- Charlene M. Bennett, 49, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at her home here.
She was a graduate of Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Ill., and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She was also a social worker in the Tacoma area, where she helped abused children and spouses.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Charles W. and Jerree Bennett of Collinsville; one daughter, Sara June Bennett of Tacoma; three sisters, Jane Bennett Hendrick and Martha Bennett, both of Henderson, and Barbara Bennett of Owensboro; two brothers, Tom Bennett of Hopkinsville and George Bennett of Deerfield, Ill.; nieces and nephews.
Private services were held in Tacoma.

Mary P. Lambert
NAGS HEAD, N.C. -- Mary P. Lambert, Nags Head, N.C., formerly of Henderson, died at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at her home from complications following a series of strokes.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas P. Lambert.
Survivors include three sons, Phelps Lambert of Henderson, James P. Lambert of Nags Head N.C., and Dr. W. Clark Lambert of Montclair, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at Presbyterian Church of Henderson. The Rev. J. Douglas Blair will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church.

James Holeman
James Holeman, 71, Corydon, died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000 at his home.
He was a member of New Cedar Grove Church in Tilden, the Masonic Lodge No. 799 and the Eastern Star No. 475. He was also a factory worker at Bear Brand Hosiery.
Survivors include his wife Lorene Holeman; three daughters, Marylon Hayden and Sarah Raber, both of Henderson, and Nancy Bell Russell of Carmi, Ill.; two sons, James Holeman Jr. and Ronnie Dale Holeman, both of Henderson; one brother, Nelson Holeman of San Angelo, Texas; one sister, Amy Whitledge of Bowling Green, Ky.; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. The Revs. Billy Hatfield and Doug Stallins will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home, where there will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. tonight.

Eula Mae Sutton
Eula Mae Sutton, 82, Dixie, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000 at her home.
She was a member of Dixie United Methodist Church and Dixie Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Sutton, who died in 1977; and by two sons, Randy Sutton, who died in 1978 and Earl Sutton, who died in 1998.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Rideout of Dixie; four sons, Allen Sutton of Dixie, Tommy Sutton of Vincennes, Ind., Phillip Sutton of Gage, Ky., and Charles Sutton of Apollo Beach, Fla.; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dixie United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.

Rose Mills
MORGANFIELD -- Rose Mills, 86, Morganfield, died at 4:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Redbanks nursing home.
She was a member of St. Ann Church in Morganfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Mills, who died in 1974; one son, Jerry Mills, who died in 1974; and one daughter, Wanda, who died in 1966.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Mills of Henderson; two sons, George Mills of Morganfield and Joseph Mills of Evansville; one sister, Martina Wathen of Owensboro; two brothers, Joe Wathen of Morganfield and George Wathen of Alabama.
