MADISONVILLE -- J.P. Puryear, 76, Madisonville, died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was a retired warehouse manager for the Pittsburg & Midway coal company. He was also a member and deacon emeritus at the Madisonville Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lottie Crawford Puryear; one daughter, Jennifer Sayle of Sturgis; and one grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville. The Rev. Roy Finley will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Kentucky Baptist Home for Children. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Madisonville Second Baptist Church.
Glenna Sue Scott Biggs
Glenna Sue Scott Biggs, 62, Henderson, died from heart failure at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of New Cedar Grove General Baptist Church in Tilden, Ky. She was also a school bus driver for the Henderson County School System for 15 years.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny Biggs; one daughter, Chiquita Sue Duncan of Henderson; two sons, Ricky Biggs of Henderson and Randy Pearson of Robards; her mother, Dorothy Hailman of Henderson; one sister, Carlotta Mabry of Henderson; one stepsister, Christine Grisham of Henderson; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Stella M. Hudnall
Stella M. Hudnall, 74, Spottsville, died at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Spottsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelia Skaggs of Spottsville and Janice Thompson of Carmi, Ill.; four sons, Ronnie Hudnall of Spottsville, Steve "B B" Hudnall of Henderson, and David Hudnall and Larry Hudnall, both of Reed; one brother, Virgil Goines of Owensboro; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Virginia Yates
Virginia Yates, 76, Robards, died at 11:43 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She was a housewife and a gardener. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Arnold Yates; one daughter, Susie Blanford of Dixon; two sons, Buck Yates and Bobby Yates, both of Henderson; three sisters, Shirley Dame of Sebree, Mildred Powell of Poole, and Elizabeth Lee of Bedford, Ind.; one brother, Russell Babb of Poole; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. The Revs. Andy Ausenbaugh and Kenny Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.

MORGANFIELD -- Pauline B. Williams, 96, Morganfield, formerly of Henderson, died at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Morganfield Nursing and Rehab.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Henderson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Joy Shown.
Survivors include one sister, Hazel Clark of Cadiz; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson.

HAWESVILLE, Ky. -- Beverly Sue Powers, 45, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at her home here.
She was a member of Blackford Baptist Church near Hawesville. She enjoyed horseback riding and Kentucky basketball.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Powers; two daughters, Penny Hamilton of Lewisport and Taletha Tucker of Owensboro; one son, Jim Ed Gray of Owensboro; her mother, Helen Herode of Owensboro; two sisters, Danita Bozarth of Hawesville and Henrietta Lawless of Henderson; two brothers, Donald Herode of Milwaukee, Wis. and Wendell Herode of Hawesville; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Blackford Baptist Church. The Rev. James R. Preston will officiate. Burial will be in Blackford Baptist Church Cemetery near Hawesville.

Lucille Melton Stull
SEBREE -- Lucille Melton Stull, 83, Sebree, died at 12:41 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at Colonial Terrace nursing home in Sebree.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Sebree and the Sebree chapter of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Roy Stull; two sons, John R. Stull and Timothy R. Stull, both of Sebree; two brothers, Earl Melton of South Bend, Ind., and A.E. Melton of Salisaw, Okla.; two grandsons and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree. The Rev. Dan Lovell will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.
