Fred Clements
UNIONTOWN -- Fred Clements, 82, died at 4:24 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at his home here.
He had a 30-year banking career with Farmer's Bank of Uniontown and Union Bank and Trust Company, which is now Fifth Third Bank. He was also owner and operator of Clements Furniture. He served in the 8th Army Air Corps Division during World War II and was stationed in the European theatre from 1942 to 1945. He was a lifelong member of Hite-Crooks VFW. He was also a lifelong member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown and a life member of Knights of Columbus No. 1367. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight in St. Vincent's Assembly. He was former mayor of Uniontown and long-time city councilman. He graduated from St. Agnes High School and attended Bowling Green Business College.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Anna Mills Clements; five daughters, Suzanne Wurth of Owensboro, Judi Austin of Henderson, Mary K. Hutchinson and Sally Utley, both of Morganfield, and Peggy Omer of Sturgis; three sons, David Clements of Uniontown, Philip Clements of Morganfield, and Stephen Clements of Wilmington, N.C.; three sisters, Patricia Clark of Madisonville, Sarah Perdue of Henderson and Janice McKinsey of Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown. The Rev. Bob Willett will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Agnes Catholic Church Building Fund.

Ashley Marion Pierce
CLAY -- Audrey Don Pierce and Ashley Marion Pierce, twin infant daughters of Sammy and Jennifer Pierce of Clay, died shortly after birth, Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.
Survivors in addition to their parents include grandparents, Bobby and Debra Meadows of Clay and Marshall and Elnora Pierce of Morganfield; and their great-grandmothers, Jean Meadows of Clay and Ima Doris Burton of Wheatcroft, Ky.
Private services will be held today.
Vanover Funeral Home in Clay is in charge of arrangements.
William "Willie" Walter Brown
PROVIDENCE -- William "Willie" Walter Brown, 58, Providence, died at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He worked for the Kentucky Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Turley Brown; his mother, Marie Brown Spencer of Madisonville; one daughter, Elizabeth Marie Brown of Providence; one son, Jim Brown of Winter Park, Fla.; one brother, James Robin Brown of Madisonville; one grandchild; a niece and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. The Revs. Jeff Graham and Fred Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in Cullen Cemetery in Providence.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Frances G. "Frankie" Sadler Winchester
MALVERN, Pa. -- Frances G. "Frankie" Sadler Winchester, 75, Malvern, formerly of Onton, died at 3:22 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center in Pottstown, Pa.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Malvern. She was a bookkeeper for Montgomery Ward in West Chester, Pa., and Allstate Insurance in King of Prussia, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Winchester, who died Sept. 13, 1997.
Survivors include one daughter, Jodi Schneider of Staunton, Va.; two sons, William L. Winchester of San Diego, and Frederick K. Winchester of Elverson, Pa.; one brother, Danny Lee of Troy, Mich.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Onton Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Hardison will officiate.
Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday at Tompkins Funeral Homes Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree.

Betty L. Spear
STURGIS -- Betty L. Spear, 66, Sturgis, died of cancer at 3:55 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital.
She was a member of Eastern Star DeKoven Chapter and Women of the Moose in Madisonville.
Survivors include one daughter, Pattye L. Hanor of Clay; one son, Robert L. Spear of Evansville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Rev. Robert Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery in Crittenden County.

James T. Conrad
UNIONTOWN -- James T. Conrad, 82, Uniontown, died at 9:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Conrad, who died in 1986; and one son, Larry Conrad, who died in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Conrad; two daughters, Brenda Brantley of Radcliff, Ky., and Bonnie Russelburg of Uniontown; two stepdaughters, Nancy Smith of Sturgis and Karen Martin of Boxville; two sons, James F. Conrad of Henderson and Roger Conrad of Evansville; two stepsons, Eugene Alvey of Lakewood, Colo., and Wayne Alvey of Norwich, Ohio; three sisters, Imogene Vancleave, Bea Blaner, and Mae Conrad, all of Henderson; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Revs. Roger Conrad and Bill Kellough will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.

Ruby Dossett Liggett
DIXON -- Ruby Dossett Liggett, 85, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at her home here.
She was a housewife and a member of New Cedar Grove General Baptist Church in Tilden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.D. "Buck" Liggett, who died in 1992; and one son, Jimmy Liggett, who died in 1982.
Survivors include four daughters, Sue Duncan and Shirley Tapp, both of Dixon, Ann Braden of Pueblo, Colo., and Faye Rakestraw of Slaughters; three sons, Doris Liggett, David Liggett, and Tommy Liggett, all of Dixon; 11 grandchildren; five step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. The Revs. Kenny Duncan and Harry Baldwin will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery in Tilden.
