Jody Whitmer, 46, Henderson, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and worked at ALCOA Warrick Operations. She was an avid reader and an active member of South Junior High School site-based decision-making committee.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, John Whitmer; two daughters, Carly Whitmer and Stacy Whitmer, both at home; her mother, Doris McCormack of Henderson; two sisters, Suzy McCormack of Henderson and Beth McCormack of Frisco, Texas; one brother, Jay McCormack of Seaford, Va.; her grandmother, Imogene Wilt of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church.
The Revs. K. Richard Holladay and Rebecca Curry will officiate.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to service time Monday at the church.

Mary Ann Smith
Mary Ann Smith, 66, Henderson, died at 6:51 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Worship Center.
Survivors include four sons, James Delbert Sutton of Henderson and Albert Townsend, Delbert Townsend, and Charles Dennis Townsend, all of Charleston, W.V.; one sister, Katie Richardson of Henderson; one brother, David Cannon Ezell of Henderson; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Tapp Funeral Home. The Rev. Loren Ricketts will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
William "Marvin" Edwards
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- William "Marvin" Edwards, 70, Jacksonville Beach, formerly of Henderson, died from complications of cancer Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at St. Luke's Hospital here.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was retired from the Malone and Hyde Food Corporation.
He also worked nearly 10 years at Metzger's Tavern in Henderson and was employed part-time at Food Lion Food Stores in Jacksonville.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Peggy Edwards; two sons, Whitney Edwards and Briscoe Edwards, both of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.

Winnie Moats Wilson
CLERMONT, Fla. -- Winnie Moats Wilson, 79, Clermont, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at her daughter's residence in Dorr, Mich.
She was a graduate of Henderson High School and Deaconess School of Nursing in Evansville, where she received her nursing degree. She was a naval nursing officer stationed at Great Lakes Naval Hospital. She also was a registered nurse for 40 years at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich., where she helped institute the surgical recovery room. She was a member of Wallin Congregational Church, Lydia Circle, the Mr. and Mrs. Club, the Shawmut Hills Garden Club and was an auxiliary member of the Madison Square Sportmen's Club, all in Grand Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Wilson, who died in 1971.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Kelly of Door and Delores Wilson-Ross of Grand Rapids; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 25, 2000, at Wallin Congregational Church. The Revs. Mary Martin and Donald Tuffs officiated. Burial was in Rosedale Memorial Park in Standale, Mich.

Virginia Dean Clark Cobb
PROVIDENCE -- Virginia Dean Clark Cobb, 70, Providence, died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was retired from the York plant in Madisonville and was a member of Providence General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Cobb Sr., who died in 1997; and one son, Bobby Cobb Jr., who died in 1990.
Survivors include two brothers, Glen Clark and Corbet Clark, both of Dover, Tenn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree. The Rev. David Bumpus will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot at Springdale Cemetery near Sebree.

Katheryne A. Howton
WENTZVILLE, Mo. -- Katheryne A. Howton, 89, Wentzville, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. "Bud" Howton, who died in 1961.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda K. Fuller of Wentzville; and one son, Jerry L. Howton of Owensboro.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Collier's Funeral Home in St. Ann, Mo.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson.

Eliza McCormick Ervin
Eliza McCormick Ervin, 84, Henderson, died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Hyland Baptist Church. She worked for Bear Brand Hosiery Company for 30 years and retired in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. Ervin, who died December 13, 1976.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Sue Breedlove of Henderson; one son, Clayton Ervin of Baton Rouge, La.; four sisters, Lena Schenk and Josie Utley, both of Henderson, Nadine Johnson of Nebo, Ky., and Catherine Darr of Evansville; one brother, Cecil McCormick of Henderson; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Revs. Jeff Coursey and Alan Witham will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
