George L. Barker
George L. Barker, 74, Henderson, formerly of Union County, died at 9:25 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at his home here.
He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and St. Vincent De Paul. He retired in 1988 as customer service manager with the City of Henderson, where he worked for 41 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Bartley Barker, who died in 1960; and one son, George William Barker, who died in 1958.
Survivors include two sisters, Catherine Barker of Henderson, and Sue B. Clark of Owensboro; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. Andy Ausenbaugh will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Waverly.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday until 11:30 a.m. at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church or St. Anthony's Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Sam Barker, John Barker, Bert Barker, Tim House, Bernard Thomas, and Larry Denton.
Kenneth Wayne Gish
Kenneth Wayne Gish, 41, Henderson, died of cancer at 3:18 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
He was a member of the Henderson Chapter of the Odd Fellows. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Gish of Robards; one daughter, Jacqueline C. Gish of Sebree; one stepdaughter, Jordan A. Ferguson of Robards; one son, James Hunter Wayne Gish of Robards; his father and stepmother, Hampton and Katherine Gish of Cadiz; one sister, Mary Hicks of Winter Garden, Fla.; five stepbrothers, Calvin Wease of Cadiz, Allen R. Wease of Hopkinsville, and Perry Wease, Ronald Wease, and Christopher Wease, all of Elizabethtown; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Maxine Young
MORGANFIELD -- Maxine Young, 86, Morganfield, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church in Morganfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Young, who died in 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Steve Young of Morganfield and Dr. Mark Young of Hickory, Ky.; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Rev. Tom Hancock will officiate. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Helen Burris
Helen Burris, 86, Henderson, died at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home.
She was a member of Audubon Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Ashby Burris, who died on April 2, 1991.
Survivors include two sons, William E. Burris of Henderson and John Rodney Burris of Pace, Fla.; two sisters, Jackie Cox of Henderson and Cleona Wood of Ocala, Fla.; two brothers, Leonard Walker of Cairo and Arnold Walker of Zion; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are pending at Tapp Funeral Home.

Patsy Ivie Robinson
Patsy Ivie Robinson, 55, Henderson, died at noon Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at her home.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Jim Robinson; one son, Richard A. Stewart of Henderson; her mother, Bertha Ivie of Henderson; one sister, Barbara Durbin of Henderson; two brothers, William Ivie and Steven Ivie, both of Henderson; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held Monday. The Rev. John Conn will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

Mary Lou Frisby
PROVIDENCE -- Mary Lou Frisby, 93, Providence, died at 1:55 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Oak View Nursing Home near Benton, Ky.
She was a housewife and a member of Providence General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wynn Frisby.
Survivors include one son, Owen Frisby of Benton; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Barry Cullen will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.

PROVIDENCE -- Earl S. Knight Sr., 90, Providence, died at 8:33 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Bellemeade Nursing Home in Greenville, Ky.
He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Providence.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Wiseman.
Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Mae Knight; one daughter, Joyce Hammon of Princeton, Ky.; two sons, E. Sterling Knight Jr. and Larry Knight, both of Providence; one sister, Beatrice Bryan of Hopkinsville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
