Vincent Ray Means
Vincent Ray Means, 74, Henderson, died from cancer at 4:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Florence Means; one daughter, Misty; one son, Richard Means; one stepson, David McLevain; four sisters, Barbara Wolf, Linda Pierce, Virginia Kueber and Sharon Hatch; and two brothers, Martin Means and Jamie Means.
There will be no visitation or service.

Mary Willie Heriges
MORGANFIELD -- Mary Willie Heriges, 85, Morganfield, died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at Medco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center here.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Heriges, who died in 1969.
Survivors include one niece, Ruth Ann Braddock of Sturgis; and one nephew, Billy Fox of Sturgis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Rev. Keith Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Denver N. Reynolds
MANITOU, Ky. -- Denver N. Reynolds, 70, Manitou, died at 9:27 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
A U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran, he was a retired coal miner with P & M Drake 4 Mines. He also attended New Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Nortonville.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Norma Jackson Reynolds; three sons, Steve Reynolds of Manitou, Trent Reynolds of Madisonville and Chris Reynolds of Uniontown; his mother, Ruth Ada Earl Reynolds of Madisonville; one sister, Lavell Septer of Spottsville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville. Brother Chris Reynolds and the Brother Eddie Knowles will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, Ky.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where there will be a remembrance service from 6:30 to 7 p.m. tonight.
Hughes Alvin "Buddy" Alexander
Hughes Alvin "Buddy" Alexander, 67, Henderson, died of cancer at 1:34 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was also a member of Jerusalem Masonic Lodge No. 9 and Madisonville Rizpah Temple. He was a special deputy with the Henderson County Sheriff's Department and had the distinction of serving in various capacities under three sheriffs -- J.T. Southard, Larry Markham and Dennis Clary.
Survivors include his wife of four years, Freida Alexander; one daughter, Waverlyn Karch of Haubstadt, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Adrienne Kinnin and Jennifer Kinnin, both of Henderson; one son, Ashley Alexander of Baskett; one stepson Jerry Kinnin of Winchester, Ky.; five grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Rev. Ted Burke will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Monday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. tonight.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Sandy Watkins, Dennis Clary, Howard Crider, John Crider, Jerry Kinnin, Larry Markham, Robert Ellis, Tom Tomblin, Ted Epperson, Mark Williams, Charles "Speedy" Alexander, Jackie Alexander, Bill Rhodes, and Bobby Snodgrass.
Joseph H. McBride
LOUISVILLE -- Joseph H. McBride, 70, Louisville, formerly of Waverly, died of a heart condition Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Norton Audubon Hospital here.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred McBride; three daughters, Linda Graham of Nashville, Tenn., Stephanie Dossett of Sturgis, and Mary Anne Powers of Louisville; one son, Alan McBride of Waverly; one sister, Helen Norton of Evansville; and 10 grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
There will be no visitation.

Kenneth C. Boling
OWENSBORO -- Kenneth C. Boling, 56, Owensboro, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
He had worked for the Labors Union Local No. 1392 for several years and for Tapp Motors.
Survivors include his companion of 27 years, Linda Renfrow of Owensboro; two sons, Bryan Boling of Beaver Dam, Ky., and Donnie W. Embry of Hardinsburg, Ky.; one sister, Beulah Reardon of Tell City, Ind.; six brothers, Bill McManaway of Owensboro, Marvin Boling of Philpot, Delmer McManaway of Princeton, Ky., Don Boling of Newburgh, Ind., Clayton Boling of Portage, Ind., and Prat Boling of Demotte, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harl-Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville, Ky. Burial will be in Fordsville Cemetery.

Katie Pearl Summers
MORGANFIELD -- Katie Pearl Summers, 67, Morganfield, died of cancer at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Summers, who died in 1977.
Survivors include one daughter, Anita Jones of Morganfield; two sons, Larry Summers and Steve Summers, both of Morganfield; three sisters, Sue James of Sturgis, and Mary Newcom and Carolyn Ashby, both of Clay; three brothers, Darrel Gibson of Clay, and Leonard Gibson and Calvin Gibson, both of Crittenden Co.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. The Rev. Jim Nicholson and Sister Lorene Shreve will officiate. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.

Robert Russell "Bobby" Ford, 39, Henderson, died at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Kay Ford; his mother, Gwendola Ford of Corydon; one sister, Rita Karen Proctor of Madisonville; nieces and nephews.
