George T. Hill
George Tyler Hill, 79, of Toombs Court died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 15, 1920, in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Roy and Cecile Hill. He was a farmer and a member of Lebanon First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Hill; three daughters, Barbara M. Shannon and Joyce Hill, both of Louisville, and Denise Hill of Atlanta; three sons, George Hill Jr. and Roy Hill, both of Louisville, and Anthony Walker; three stepdaughters, Shirley Daugherty and Lucy Graves, both of Danville, and Mary Smith of Louisville; a brother, Billy Hill of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Frances Poole of Chicago and Roszella GeoJa-Ja of Indianapolis, Ind.; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Lebanon, by the Rev. Tommy Calhoun. Burial will be in Tuckers Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Furman, June Furman and deacons of Lebanon First Baptist Church.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home and 11 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the church.

Mencie Baxter
HARRODSBURG -- Mencie Baxter, 58, of Raven Street died Saturday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born June 4, 1942, in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Tero and Christine Snow Ritchie. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Baxter; a son, Nathan Baxter of Harrodsburg; a brother, Ritchie Allen of Lawrenceburg; and three sisters, Mary Thurman, Ida Morris and Barbara Hillard, all of Lawrenceburg. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alisa Baxter.
Private graveside services were today with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may go to American Cancer Society.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Gladys Louise Evans, 54, of Waynesburg died Saturday at her home after an apparent aneurysm.
Born July 22, 1945, in Hyden, she was a daughter of Worth A. and Margaret Bowling Pangburn. She was an employee of Brake Parts Inc. and Shoney's Restaurant.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Evans of Waynesburg; a sister, Glenna S. Fornshell of Albany; two brothers, Carter Pangburn of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Boyd Pangburn of Lebanon, Ohio; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Rick Naylor. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

HARRODSBURG -- Cole Douglas Walker Garner, infant son of Gregory Walker and Penney Lee Lewis Garner of Mac Court, died shortly after his birth Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
Additional survivors include a stepbrother, Garryt Younghouse; a stepsister, Sierra Younghouse; grandparents, Karen McGuire of Harrodsburg and Bahman and Patricia Ossivand; and great- grandparents, Sue Treadway and James Wheeler.

Mary Lou F. Neal
GREENFIELD, Ind. -- Mary Lou Flanery Neal, 63, of Maxwell, Ind., died Sunday at Methodist Hospital.
Born July 30, 1936, in Waynesburg, she was a daughter of the late Roach O. and Maude L. Griffin. She was retired from Kroger and had worked several years at Hancock Hospital. She was a charter member of the Moose Lodge and was a member of Eagles Lodge. She was a graduate of Memorial High School.
Survivors include her husband, John E. Neal; two sons, Coolie and John Wells, both of Greenfield; four stepsons, Russell C. Neal of New Palestine, Ind., Randy C. Neal of Illinois, and Ronnie C. and Roger C. Neal, both of Indianapolis; a daughter, Judy Briles of Greenfield; a stepdaughter, Robin C. Neal of Florida; three brothers, Howard Flanery of Kentucky, Roach Flanery Jr. and Clarence Flanery, both of Beech Grove, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be this evening by Women of the Moose.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Pasco Memorial Mortuary.

Raymond L. Smalley
NEW CASTLE -- Raymond Leslie Smalley, 39, of Louisville died Saturday at his home.
Born in Fayette County, he was a son of Jerry L. and Christine Miller Smalley of LaGrange. He was a teacher at University of Kentucky Computer Lab and a former auto mechanic.
Other survivors include his wife, Brenda Honaker Smalley; two sons, Michael R. Smalley and Chrisphor L. Smalley, both of Bedford; three sisters, Sue Bockerstette of Fairfield, Ohio, and Elizabeth Walker and Phyllis Gibson, both of Danville; a brother, the Rev. William H. Richardson of Louisville; a stepbrother, Scott Smalley of Lexington.

LIBERTY -- Merl Whited, 58, of Cincinnati, formerly of Casey County, died Saturday at Veterans Administration Hospital in Cincinnati,
Born Sept., 29, 1941, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Paris and Eva Johnson Whited. He was retired from the Air Force.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Kelch of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son. William Whited.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Clifford Dehart. Burial with military honors will be in Whited Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5:30 p.m. today.

CRAB ORCHARD -- Services for Hershel W. Adams Sr., 36, of Simpson Road, Brodhead, were today at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by L.L. Collins. Burial was in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Waynesburg.
He died Friday at his home after complications from a heart attack.
