Gertie Elizabeth Eastwood Donahoo
SEBREE -- Gertie Elizabeth Eastwood Donahoo, 89, Sebree, died from a heart ailment at 5:05 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was an active member of Sebree Pentecostal Church. She was also retired from the Briggs Corporation in Evansville and the Chrysler Corporation in St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by one son, James David Donohoo, who died in 1998.
Survivors include one daughter, Mylo "Beulah" Lawson of Sebree; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; several great-granchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree. The Revs. John McCurry and Eddie Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Sheila M. Alexander
LEAVENWORTH, Kan. -- Sheila M. Alexander, 60, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at her home here.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas R. Alexander; four daughters, Joanna Percival and Caroline Bailey, both of Loughborough, England, Melissa Somsen of Sun Prairie, Wis., and Michelle Waller of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two sons, Tom Alexander of Henderson and Graham Dadd of Topeka Kan.; and 15 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Belden-Sexton Sumpter Funeral Home in Leavenworth is in charge of arrangements.

Barbara Louise Hicks
Barbara Louise Hicks, 92, Henderson, died at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
A member of First United Methodist Church, she was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and a daughter, Barbara Ann Hicks.
Survivors include a sister, Doris Cohron of Henderson; a brother, Volney Jacobs of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Holladay will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Birdie Jackson
Birdie Jackson, 102, Henderson, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Francis Haygen and Mary Jo Robertson, both of Henderson, and Rose Ann Tapp of Evansville; four sons, Andrew Taylor, James Hayes and James Davis, all of Evansville, and William Taylor of Louisville; 38 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Henderson. The Rev. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church where a wake service will be held at that time.

Hugh W. Boswell Jr.
Hugh W. Boswell Jr., 84, Henderson, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Methodist Hospital here.
He was a member and deacon at Bethel Baptist Church in Hebbardsville. He was a farmer and a retired rural mail carrier. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He also had been a deacon for 31 years.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sara Boswell; one daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Ann Boswell of Louisville; one sister, Marie Johnson of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Joel Bridenbaugh will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Anna Lee Shoulders
CLAY -- Anna Lee Shoulders, 98, Clay, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Medco Nursing Center in Henderson.
She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Clay.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Shoulders, who died in 1976; and two sons, Harry Shoulders, who died in 1944, and Earline Shoulders, who died in 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Hilda Woodard and Obi Wallace, both of Clay; three sons, Carol Tunny Shoulders and Billy Wayne Shoulders, both of Clay, and J.B. Shoulders of Farmington, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay. Bro. Earl Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery in Clay.

PROVIDENCE -- Mildred England, 82, Providence, died at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Shemwell Nursing Home here.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Biglen of Denver, Colo., and Judie Zachary of Louisville; one son, James England of Paducah; two sisters, Edie Galloway of Morganton, N.C., and Ora Sandlin of Bryson City, N.C.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Melton Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Terry Rhye will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.
