Lowell Edward "Ed" Sanderson
Lowell Edward "Ed" Sanderson, 74, Henderson, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at his home.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Moose Lodge No. 732.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Gene Edward Sanderson, who died in 1997, and Ricky Allen Sanderson, who died in 1987.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Hardrick of Henderson, and Peggy Earll of Corydon; one son, Lowell Sanderson of Henderson; six sisters, Katie Mae Phelps, Martha McKinney, Onetta Russelburg, Nancy Copeland, and Mary Copeland, all of Mayfield, Ky., and Patsy Hollan of Hardin, Ky.; two brothers, Charles Melvin Sanderson and Randal Sanderson, both of Mayfield; four grandchildren; one step grandchild; five great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tapp Funeral Home. Brother Tony Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Johnnie Lee Davis
Johnnie Lee Davis, 70, Henderson, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of The Association For the Deaf in both Evansville and in Dallas.
Survivors include her husband, James Davis; three daughters, Glenda Groenewold of Providence, Barbara Gonzales of Allen, Texas, and Sharon Bell of Oklahoma City; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Davis of Owensboro; one son, Dale Wilkerson of Westminster, Texas; one stepson, Christopher Davis of Owensboro; one sister, Louise Shepherd of Santa Barbara, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Pearcy will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
Edward A. Pemberton
Edward A. Pemberton, 63, Henderson, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville.
He was of the Pentecostal faith and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Barton of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Diane Ames of Lakeland, Fla.; one son, David Pemberton of Boston, Mass.; one sister, Bonnie Robbins of Henderson; five brothers, Bill Pemberton of Sturgis, Donnie Pemberton of Henderson, Kenny Pemberton of Salem, Ore., Jim Pemberton of Seattle, Wash., and Charles Pemberton of Fort Meade, Fla.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
The Rev. Charles Pemberton will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Joe Franklin Whitmore
Joe Franklin Whitmore, 67, Poole, died from complications of heart surgery Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of Poole Masonic Lodge No. 604, and Ermine Ford Chapter No. 9 Order of the Eastern Star. He was a former employee of Haliburton and Scott Lumber.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Whitmore; his mother, Naomi Whitmore of Henderson; three daughters, Terri Whitmore Dalton of Dayton, Ohio, Tina Whitmore Myers of Poole, and Karla Whitmore Wiles of Stanley, Ky.; two sons, Steve Whitmore of Jonesboro, Ark., and Billy Whitmore of Henderson; two stepsons, Stan Cook of Poole and Terry Cook of Henderson; two sisters, Hattie Harmon of Cairo and Dianna Henry of Collinsville, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and nieces.
Services are pending at Tapp Funeral Home.
William Paul Keown Sr.
BOWLING GREEN -- William Paul Keown Sr., 82, Bowling Green, died at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.
He was a retired teacher at Bowling Green Vocational School. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason with the Bowling Green Masonic Lodge No. 73 F & AM, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Orene Wilson Keown; four daughters, Jo Ann Richards of Bowling Green, Joyce Hendrick of Rockford, Ill., Wanda Gowan of Decatur, Ala., and Doris Cummings of Henderson; three half-sisters, Marie Smuthers, Beulah England, and Eulah Hardesty, all of Louisville; one stepsister, Jean Reynolds of Park City, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Wesley H. Parker
Wesley H. Parker, 51, Corydon, died at 8:09 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He worked as a supervisor at the Vanderburgh County Jail and attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Corydon.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Ford.
Survivors include his mother, Effie Doan Parker; three daughters, Edie Parker, Angela Parker, and Carla Parker, all of Owensboro; three sisters, Delores Isbell of Odessa, Texas, Pat Huggins of Mannington, Ky., and Deborah Parker of Madisonville; four brothers, John David Parker of Hopkinsville, William Parker and Jessie Parker, both of Nortonville, and Arthur Earl Parker of Forney, Texas; nieces and nephews; and his caregiver, E-Toy Scott of Corydon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington. The Rev. Brian Ralph will officiate. Burial will be in New Suthards Cemetery in Suthards, Ky.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike McDowell, Lee Fortman, Michael Scott, Danny Faulk, Brian Parker, and Patrick Hancock.
Joseph Danny French
UNIONTOWN -- Joseph Danny French, 49, Uniontown, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at University of Louisville Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was a lifelong farmer and a past Grand Knight of the Uniontown Knights of Columbus. He was a Farm Service Agency committeeman and on the Union County Zoning Board. He was also a former member of St. Agnes Parrish Council.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie French; his mother, Nancy French of Uniontown; one son, Adam French of Uniontown; one sister, Frances Ann Boarman of Philpot, Ky.; and one brother, Pat French of Morganfield.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown. The Revs. Patrick M. Bittel, Bob Willett, and Henry Weider will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
