Norman Lee "Boss" Riddle
SLAUGHTERS -- Norman Lee "Boss" Riddle, 74, of the Mount Gilead community near Slaughters, died at 10:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was of the Baptist faith. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was retired from the Whirlpool Corporation of Evansville and was a self-employed saw mill operator. He was also a tobacco farmer.
Survivors include two brothers, Arnold Riddle of Shelbyville, Ind., and Donald Riddle of Aurora, Ill.; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Slaughters-Hanson Chapel in Slaughters . The Rev. Harry Baldwin will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery near Slaughters with full military rites.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Danny G. Todd
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Danny G. Todd, 62, formerly of Henderson, died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at his home here.
He graduated from Henderson City High School in 1954 and was a member of the marching band and pep band. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he was also a deacon at Jefferson Baptist Church in Baton Rouge and a member of "The Good News Singers" gospel quartet. He was also active in the Louisiana Senior Olympic Games.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Shirley Westerman Todd; one daughter, Dana Todd Lux of Baton Rouge; one son, Bart Francis Todd of Baton Rouge; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Friday at Greenoaks Chapel in Baton Rouge. The Rev. T.C. French Jr. and Brother Mitch Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.

Jessie "J.E" Eastwood
ORLANDO -- Jessie "J.E" Eastwood, 81, formerly of Sebree, died of cancer at 8:47 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at his home here.
He was a retired pipe fitter and plumber and a member of The United Pipe Fitters Union. He was of the the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ester Arnold Eastwood; two sons, Jessie Edward Eastwood Jr. of Indiantown, Fla., and Claude Franklin Eastwood Sr. of Orlando; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree. Sister Lucy Tedder will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery near Sebree.

Robert Reise Morton
Robert Reise Morton, 71, Henderson, died at 1:35 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He retired in 1982 after 32 years in education. He was band director for 19 years at Henderson City High School, and pupil personnel director for the Henderson City Board of Education for four years.
He also was special programs director for two years and director of pupil personnel for the Henderson County Board of Education.
He was a member of the Henderson County Education Association, the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, the American Association of Retired Persons, the Travelers Protective Association Post C., the American School Band Directors Association, Phi Delta Kappa International and KAPPAN. And he was a Kentucky Colonel.
He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he received a degree in music education. He earned a master's of art degree and a Rank 1 in school administration at Murray State University.
He also was a graduate school instructor at Murray.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He also was a driver for Henderson HART system's demand response program.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sarah Morton; two sons, Robert Michael Morton and Jeffrey Lee Morton, both of Henderson; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick Holladay will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Oral B. High
Oral B. High, 91, Henderson, formerly of Monroe County, Ky., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
A World War II Army veteran, he was a heating and air conditioning technician. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nell Carter High; his second wife, Roberta Simpkins High; and one daughter, Peggie Smalling.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Starrett of Murfreesboro and Patty Gene Csiszar of South Bend, Ind.; one sister, Deane Tooley of California; one brother, Dave High of Tompkinsville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Gilead Church of Christ in Tompkinsville. Gary Puryear will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery.

Anna Belle Ford
BEAVER DAM, Ky. -- Anna Belle Ford, 69, Beaver Dam, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
A housewife, she enjoyed quilting, working outdoors, growing roses and spending time with her family. She was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by twin daughters, Dona Kay Ford and Deloris Fay Ford.
Survivors include her husband, C.W. Ford; eight daughters, Wanda Ballard of Henderson, Rachel Callaway of Evansville, Billie J. Good of Mount Vernon, Ind., Ellen Ball of Hartford, Ky., Patricia Greer of Hopkinsville, Brenda Geraldine Perkins of Beaver Dam, Sherry Hinton of Cromwell, Ky., and Anna Lois Perry of Columbia, Tenn.; five sons, Phillip Ford of Beaver Dam, David Ford of McHenry, Ky., Cicero N. Ford of Morgantown, Ky., Eric Ford of Centertown, Ky., and James Ford of Matanzas, Ky.; two brothers, Claude Jones and Willis Leon Jones, both of Beaver Dam; one sister, Mabel Snodgrass of Echols, Ky.; 42 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery.

Kenneth Dale Moody
Kenneth Dale Moody, 66, Henderson, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at his home.
He was an Air Force veteran, a member of American Legion Worsham Post No. 40 and an avid reader.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Esther Collier Moody; and one daughter, Sharon Driesmans of Belgium.
Arrangements are pending at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson.
