Beulah Greenfield Shelton
SEBREE -- Beulah Greenfield Shelton, 63, Sebree, died of an heart attack at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mount Lebanon General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Howard Ray Shelton.
Survivors include her husband, Howard "Doc" Shelton; four daughters, Sherry A. Cullen of Providence, Kandy R. Riggs of Sebree, Shelly Young of Portland, Tenn., and Stacy Culver of Robards; five sons, Larry J. Shelton and Aubrey D. Shelton, both of Sebree, Harlin W. Shelton and Robin J. Shelton, both of Dixon, and Timmy G. Shelton of Clay; two sisters, Sue Montgomery of Texas, and Betty Wilson of Poole; two brothers, Davis Greenfield and Carl Greenfield, both of Sebree; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday at New Cedar Grove Church in Tilden, Ky. The Rev. Barry Cullen will officiate. The body will be cremated. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the church.

Noel Thomas McCallister
MORGANFIELD -- Noel Thomas McCallister, 81, Morganfield, died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield. He worked at Mac's Quality Market for nine years. He owned and operated Noel's DX/Sunoco Service station for 23 years. He was also an instructor at Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ann McCallister; one daughter, Judy Durbin of Omaha, Neb.; one son, John McCallister of Morganfield; one brother, Austin McCallister of Shreveport, La.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield. The Rev. Patrick M. Bittel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetary in Uniontown.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. tonight.
Edna M. Young
HOPKINSVILLE - Edna M. Young, 80, Hopkinsville, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She was employed at the Hopkinsville Holiday Inn for over 30 years. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Sam" Young, who died September 2, 1987.
Survivors include two sons, Robert E. Young of Orlando, Fla., and George F. Young of Henderson; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. The Revs. John R. Christian and Robert Lawrence will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville.

Peggy D. Johnson
CARTHAGE, Miss. -- Peggy D. Johnson, 69, Carthage, formerly of Henderson, died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Miss.
She was a retired motel manager and owner. She was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lee E. Johnson, who died November 18, 2000.
Survivors include one son, Vess Lee Johnson of Austin, Texas; one sister, Mary Lee Roberts of Philadelphia, Miss.; one brother, Wallace Melton of Checotah, Okla.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. The Rev. Andy Ausenbaugh will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

Bertha Elizabeth Carrier
Bertha Elizabeth Carrier, 86, Henderson, died at 2:38 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall David Carrier, who died in December 1977; and one son, Franklin David Carrier, who died in December 1984.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Jo Ann Smith of Raleigh, N.C., Deloris Jean Long of Geneva, Ky., and Brenda Edith Chaney of Zion; one son, Donald Wayne Carrier of Kissimmee, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. J. Edward Bradley will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Irvin S. Groeninger
Irvin S. Groeninger, 60, Corydon, died of cancer at 3 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
A U.S. Army veteran, he retired after 23 years of service with Faultless Caster.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Groeninger; two daughters, Roselina Messamore of Sebree and Krista Dunkerson of Tilden, Ky.; four sons, Irvin Groeninger II and Terry Groeninger, both of Evansville, Stephen Peckinpaugh of Cairo and Vincent Peckinpaugh of Henderson; one brother, Raymond Mason of Sebree; 23 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Alexander Funeral Home's West Chapel in Evansville. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery, with full military rites performed by Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club.

DIXON -- James Calvin Haner, 79, Dixon, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Haner; two sons, James V. Haner and Henry Haner, both of Henderson; two sisters, Corine Vandiver of Henderson and Goldie Jacobs of Evansville; two brothers, Toy Lee Haner of Henderson and Robert Haner of Florida; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
