Helen F. Townsend, 82, Henderson, formerly of Dixon, died at 10:28 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She was a housewife and a member of Poole Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Janet Withers of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; one son, John S. Townsend of Henderson; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. The Rev. Rob Whitacre will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.
Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Lucille Utley Trader
Lucille Utley Trader, 86, Henderson, died at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 13, 2001, at her home.
She was a member of Hyland Baptist Church in Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Tiny" Trader, who died in 1985.
Survivors include one son, Jim Trader of Henderson; one sister, Ann Helm of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Coursey will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

UNIONTOWN -- Donald Stewart, 65, Uniontown, died of heart failure at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2001, at his home here.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Stewart; one son, Donnie Stewart of Louisville; one stepson, Rodney Higginson; one brother, Walter Stewart of Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

CLAY -- Lyhue Springer, 91, Clay, died at 3:15 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2001, at his home here.
He was a farmer and a member of Fairview Church of Christ in Dixon for 33 years.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Thelma Springer; two daughters, Jo Nell Turley of Clay and Ann Montgomery of Dixon; one stepson, Michael French of Madisonville; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay. Bro. Rex Childs will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.

PROVIDENCE -- Laura Lee Tosh, 86, Providence, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Wyatt of Madisonville, Betty Atkins and Martha Jamison, both of Providence, and Rebecca Miller of Nebo; two sons, William Travis of Paducah and James Travis of Providence; 21 grandchildren; three foster grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eight foster great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Melton Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Laddie Pride will officiate. Burial will be in Asher Cemetery in Flat Rock, Ky.

Thelma L.B. Cooper
DRESDEN, Tenn. -- Thelma L.B. Cooper, 88, Dresden, died of cancer Saturday, May 12, 2001, at her daughter's home in Corydon, Ky.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Earl Burns; and her second husband, John Henry Cooper.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Burns Johnson of Paris, Tenn., and Margaret Burns Hooser of Corydon, Ky.; one sister, Mello Arnold of Dresden; one brother, John Curtis Hopper of Martin, Tenn.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dresden First Baptist Church. The Rev. Don McCulley will officiate. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.

Helen Francele Daugherty
Helen Francele Daugherty, 81, Henderson, died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Daugherty, who died Nov. 11, 1995; and one son, Danny Daugherty, who died in 1997.
Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Daugherty of Henderson, and Joan Peitscher and Jane Lucius, both of Chicago; three sons, Mike Daugherty, Dennis Daugherty and Pat Daugherty, all of Henderson; two sisters, Mary Roll and Anna Henson, both of Evansville; one brother, James Schaeffer of Helena, Mont.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Saturday at First Baptist Church in Henderson. The Rev. Jim Trader will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
