Maude Brooks King
FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Maude Brooks King, 89, Franklin, formerly of Henderson and Webster County, died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Williamson Medical Center here.
She was a homemaker and member of Audubon Baptist Church in Henderson, where she served as Sunday School teacher and a member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lloyd T. King, who died May 13, 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Marvine K. Sugg of Columbia, Tenn., and Patricia Wallace of Rochester, Minn.; one son, James C. King of Humble, Texas; one brother, Freeman Brooks of Slaughters; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Audubon Baptist Church. The Rev. Alan Todd will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Williams Columbia Funeral Home in Columbia, Tenn., and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Larry Clinkenbeard, Rick Graham, William Graham, Keith Wallace, Michael Gutierrez, and Charles Wallace.
Dock Van Duncan Jr.
WESTLAND, Mich. -- Dock Van Duncan Jr., 80, Westland, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at St. Mary Hospital in Livonia, Mich.
He was the retired president of UAW Local No. 1313.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Duncan, who died in 1994.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Canning of Bonita Springs, Fla.; one son, James Rebant of Garden City, Mich.; two sisters, Vi Evans of Henderson and Naomi Cole of Westland; two granddaughters; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon. The Rev. Bob Fulcher will officiate. Burial will be in Old Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Charles E. Wilkerson
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. -- Charles E. Wilkerson, 76, Simi Valley, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2001.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jesse Wilkerson; one daughter, Ingrid Grenne of Simi Valley; two sons, Bobby Wilkerson and Edward Wilkerson, both of Simi Valley; one sister, Martha Hoggard of Henderson; one brother, Aaron Wilkerson of Henderson; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be no services or visitation.
Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Corene Griffin
Corene Griffin, 90, Robards, died at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Myrton Pritchett, who died in 1963; and her second husband, Frank Griffin, who died in 1994.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Hal Branson will officiate. Burial will be in Eakins Cemetery in Robards.

STURGIS -- Vivian B. Greenwell, 85, Sturgis, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2001, at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa, Ky.
She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Sturgis.
Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Willett of Buckhannon, W. Va., and Faye Greenwell and Mary Monarch, both of Sturgis; three sons, Joe Dyer Greenwell of Morganfield, Parker Greenwell of Granbury, Texas and Jerry Greenwell of Bethel, Maine; one brother, Marion Dyer of Evansville; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. The Rev. Dan Kreutzer will officiate. Burial will be in Scared Hearth Cemetery in Waverly.

Patricia U. Talley
Patricia U. Talley, 62, Henderson, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at her home.
She was retired after 20 years with the Henderson County School System, where she served at Jefferson Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by two sons, William "Billy" Talley Jr., who died in 1993, and James E. Thomas, who died in 1998.
Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Talley; one daughter, Lisa Thomas of Henderson; one son, George Carl Thomas of Walden, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and nieces.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tapp Funeral Home. The Rev. J. Douglas Blair will officiate. Entombment will be in Fernwood Mausoleum.

Margarite Josephine Hornback Haleman
Margarite Josephine Hornback Haleman, 70, Robards, died at 1:04 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
A homemaker, she was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church in Robards.
Survivors include her husband, Franklin Haleman; three daughters, Sandra Newman of Clay, Charlotte Tillotson of Henderson and Trish Snyder of Poole; four sons, Bill Haleman of Henderson, David Haleman of Fort Campbell, and Franklin Haleman Jr. and Mark Haleman, both of Reed; one brother, David Hornback of McLouth, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Tompkins Funeral Homes, Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree. The Rev. Richard Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson.

PROVIDENCE -- Ruth Marie Roberts, 81, Providence, died at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Versnick Health Care Center in Madisonville.
She was a retired social worker for Audubon Area Services and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Providence.
Survivors include cousins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Herbert Haynes will officiate. Burial will be in Cumberland Hill Cemetery in Providence.
There will be no visitation.
