Edward L. Frashier, 70, Henderson, died at 4:52 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Henderson and was retired from CSX Railroad.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Frashier; one daughter, Kelly Frashier of Henderson; one son, Alan Frashier of Clermont, Fla.; one sister, Flora Tucker of Carmi, Ill.; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. David Bratcher will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Curtis Wayne Chapman
Curtis Wayne Chapman, 36, Henderson, died of respiratory failure Saturday, April 7, 2001.
He was owner and operator of Chapman Solar Eclipse Window Tinting and Sunroofs for four years. He had been in the window tinting and sunroof business for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Survivors include his mother, Charlene Ashby Chapman of Henderson; his fiancee, Cora Holecek of Henderson; four sisters, Connie Chapman Backi and Becky Harlock Brooks, both of Evansville, Darla A. Taylor of Texas, and Leesa R. Mays of Henderson; two brothers, Billy W. Chapman Jr. of Texas, and Kenny L. Chapman of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Homes East Chapel in Evansville.
The Rev. Norman Ashby will officiate. Burial will be in Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown, Ind.

L. Rachel Vanover Rearden
OWENSBORO -- L. Rachel Vanover Rearden, 72, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at her home here.
She was a homemaker and attended Mount Zion United Methodist Church near Windy Hollow. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vanover, who died Oct. 14, 1972; one daughter, Susie Hamilton, who died June 24, 1999; and one stepdaughter, Patty Gubler.
Survivors include five daughters, Shirley Heppler of Sturgis, Martha Payne of Lewisport, and Kathy Ezell, Sandy Johnson, and Bobbi Burden, all of Owensboro; one stepdaughter, Sherry Baird of Calhoun; one stepson, Roger Rearden of Nicholasville; one sister, Katherine Badger of Hatfield, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes Calhoun Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Windy Hollow.

James Floyd Cullen
PROVIDENCE -- James Floyd Cullen, 91, Providence, died at 11:52 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was an auto mechanic and owner and operator of Cullen Garage for 33 years. He was a deacon at Primitive Baptist Church in Providence.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile Cullen; one daughter, Julia Childress of Providence; one sister, Wilma Jennings of Louisville; two grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Townsend Jones Funeral Home in Providence. Elder John Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Big Hill Cemetery in Providence.

Mary Greta Holloman
PROVIDENCE -- Mary Greta Holloman, 63, Providence, died at 10:19 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was a member of the Webster County Historical and Genealogical Society. She was also Treasurer of the Mollie Morehead Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Stevens of Henderson, and Patricia Stevens of Ozark, Ala.; three sons, Ricky Dulin of Columbus, Ohio, Tony Stevens of Ozark, Ala., and Tim Stevens of Madisonville; two half-sisters, Sherry Benton and Debbie Benton, both of Providence; five half-brothers, Archie Benton of Providence, and Jackie Benton, Jimmy Holloman, Bill Holloman, and Larry Yarbrough; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at White Oak Cemetery in Clay. The Revs. Rick Oakley and Larry Williams will officiate.

Mary Olene Travis
EVANSVILLE -- Mary Olene Travis, 90, Evansville, formerly of Crittenden County, died at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001, at East Point Health/Rehab in Evansville.
She was a member of Blackburn Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Deloris Coulter of Evansville; one sister, Lera Fendrich of Evansville; and one brother, Gilbert Travis of Madisonville.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Melton Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Robert Phillips officiated. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Crittenden County.
Mabel E. Hird
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- Mabel E. Hird, 84, Platteville, died Friday, April 6, 2001, at Southwest Health Center in Cuba City, Wisc.
She was a member of Westview Methodist Church in Platteville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Hird, who died April 1, 1982.
Survivors include one daughter, Becky Schambow of Platteville; one son, Terry Hird of Henderson; one sister, Ruby Jantzen of Mineral Point, Wis.; one brother, Roy Nodolf of Mineral Point; and five grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bendorf Funeral Home in Platteville.
The Rev. Jim Isaac officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery in Platteville.
William Allen Powers
OWENSBORO -- William Allen Powers, 53, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at his home here.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Church in Owensboro, the Breakfast Civitan Club and the National Restaurant Association. He was employed by Pinocchio's Restaurant in restaurant management in Owensboro, where he worked for 13 years. A U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, he enjoyed football and collecting sports cards.
Survivors include his wife of six years, Judy Bryant Powers; one daughter, Kandice Wilson of Owensboro; two stepdaughters, Deborah Drewry and Karen Evans, both of Owensboro; two stepsons, Timothy Fitzgerald of Owensboro and Richard Wilson of Lexington; one brother, Michael Powers of Owensboro; one sister, Linda Kincaid of Owensboro; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery.
