Vevah Hargrove
CADIZ, Ky. -- Vevah Hargrove, 67, Cadiz, died after a long illness at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
She was a member of Linton United Methodist Church. She was also retired from the Lake Barkley State Resort Park, where she worked for 20 years in the baking department.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lewis Hargrove, who died Sept. 1, 1985.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Martin of Cadiz; one son, Randy Hargrove of Hopkinsville; one sister, Marilyn Pleasant of Henderson; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Terry Lee McNichols will officiate. Burial will be in Ezell Cemetery in Trigg County, Ky.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Hampton, Chris Hampton, Jason Hampton, Eddie Pleasant, Mike Francis and Johnny Edmonds.
James G. Parker
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- James G. Parker, 75, Sterling Heights, formerly of Webster County, Evansville and Detroit, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Mich.
He was retired from Wayne Foundry and Stamping Company, where he had worked as chief engineer for more than 44 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and playing chess.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Parker; three daughters, Susan Gail Huddleston, Shirley Ann Seymour, and Pamela Jean Hinton; two sons, Joel Patrick Parker and William Houston Parker; his sister, Martha Margaret Spencer; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home in Fraser, Mich. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township, Mich.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Helen Whitledge Bennett
Helen Whitledge Bennett, 86, Henderson, died at 6:25 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home.
She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Bennett; and one son, Robert Allen Bennett.
Survivors include one brother, Dick Whitledge of Henderson; two grandsons who were also her caregivers, Allen Bennett and David Bennett, both of Henderson; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Garland will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Gail Lee Lewis
Gail Lee Lewis, 83, Henderson, formerly of New Harmony, Ind., died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
Of the Baptist faith, she liked cooking.
Survivors include three daughters, Robbi Lee Sugg and Roxanne Sheeley, both of Henderson, and Tina Rose Stinson of Spottsville; one son, Harvey Owens of Sacramento, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
Sister Bernadine Tegethoff
BARDSTOWN, Ky. -- Sister Bernadine Tegethoff, 83, Bardstown, formerly of Henderson, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at Nazareth Home in Louisville.
She was a graduate of St. Vincent Academy in Union County. Upon graduation, she entered the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, where she was a member for 65 years. She also served as an elementary, secondary and college teacher in Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia. Her missions in western Kentucky included the St. Mary Academy in Paducah, where she taught from 1938 to 1940 and Fancy Farm Public School in Fancy Farm, Ky., where she taught from 1945 to 1962.
Survivors include one sister, Anna Louise Woods of Sapulpa, Okla.
Services will be at 10:45 a.m. (EST) Friday at St. Vincent Church in Nazareth. Burial will be in Nazareth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. (EST) at the Nazareth Home and after 4 p.m. (EST) at the church Thursday, where prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. (EST) Thursday.

Joseph Walter Wisniewski
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Joseph Walter Wisniewski, 58, Tahlequah, formerly of Union County, died as a result of an automobile accident at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001, in Sturgis.
A U.S. Army veteran, he worked for the railroad. He was also of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Wisniewski; one daughter, Kim Pirtle of Henderson; two sons, Steven Michael Wisneiwski of Sturgis and Joseph Glenn Wisniewski of Tahlequah; one sister, Diane Jensen of Chicago; one brother, Lenoard George Wisniewski of Loxahatchee, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services and burial will be held at a later date.
There will be no visitation.

Troy Gish
Troy Gish, 36, Henderson, died at 10:05 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He attended the United Church of the Nazarene in Henderson.
Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Margie Gish of Henderson; his grandmother, Cleo Grossman of Henderson; two sisters, Roxy Majors and Teidra Combest, both of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
