Virginia Cox, 99, Henderson, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, where she served as a member of the V.D. Kennedy Club and was a member of the Birthday Club. She was past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Rebecca Chapter No. 7.
Survivors include her caregiver, Clarence Moss of Henderson; and several cousins.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in Henderson. The Rev. Robert Esters will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Edith Henshaw
STURGIS -- Edith Henshaw, 93, Sturgis, died at 10:20 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home in Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henshaw, who died in 1963; and one son, James Henshaw.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Perry of Pride, Ky., and Ruth Wasson of Palm Desert, Calif.; one son, Gordon Henshaw of Bardwell, Ky.; one sister, Emma Mason of Sturgis; two brothers, Morton Henshaw of Sturgis and Kenneth Henshaw of Henshaw, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church in Sturgis. The Rev. Jeff Bullock will officiate. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.

James Larkin Cook
James Larkin Cook, 78, Henderson, died at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Cook, who died in September 1989; and his second wife, Mildred Cook, who died in November 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann McLevain of Henderson and Wanda Cochran of Harrisburg, Ill.; one son, James Cook of Kuttawa, Ky.; one sister, Helen Tanner of Eldorado, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Eddie Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, Ky.

FRANKFORT -- Margaret Doris, 92, Frankfort, formerly of Henderson, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Heritage Hall in Lawrenceburg.
She was a member of the Frankfort Business and Professional Women's Club and First Christian Church. She had lived in Henderson for more than 25 years and had been employed by Starr and Thompson Insurance Agency.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Doris Sr.
Survivors include one son, Robert L. Doris Jr. of Frankfort; one brother, Charles A. French of Louisville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rogers Funeral Home. The Revs. Gary Straub and Don Nunnelly will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville.

Ruth Helen White
PIEDMONT, Ala. -- Ruth Helen White, 75, Piedmont and Birmingham, died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2001, at her home here.
She was a dental hygienist and had worked for the Birmingham Baptist Association in its medical department ministry. She was a member of Lake Highland Baptist Church in Birmingham for six years. Prior to that, she was a member of 85th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham.
Survivors include one sister, Violet Fitzpatrick of Piedmont; one brother, J.D. White of Piedmont; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont. The Rev. Hayward Clark will officiate. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Highland Cemetery in Piedmont. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Huffman Baptist Church in Birmingham. The Revs. Wayne Scott, Ricky Creech and E.D. Horseley will officiate.

Charles McCullen McCauley, 85, Zion, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at his home.
He was of the Pentecostal faith and was a retired interior decorator. He operated Charlie's Saw Shop and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Madgalene McCauley; one daughter, Nadine Shock of Owensboro; one son, Jack McCauley of Shelbyville, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Vernon Rigsby will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

STURGIS -- Mary F. Burks, 76, Sturgis, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Union County.
Survivors include three brothers, William H. "Boo" Anderson of Sturgis, Willie Anderson of Jamaica, N.Y., and Wayne Anderson of Long Island, N.Y.
Arrangements are pending at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis.
Elisha George "E.G." Landers
OAKLAND, Calif. -- Elisha George "E.G." Landers, 61, Oakland, formerly of Henderson, died Monday, March 12, 2001, at Highland Hospital in Berkley, Calif., due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He attended Alves Street School and Douglass High School in Henderson. A longshoreman for 30 years, he was a member of Norris Chapel Baptist Church in Henderson and Ollie Groves Missionary Baptist Church in California.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hellen Turner Landers.
Survivors include two aunts Beatrice Hatchett Bagwell of Evansville and Margaret Hatchett Williams of Detroit; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church in Henderson. The Rev. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
