Glenna Davis
STURGIS -- Glenna Davis, 103, Sturgis, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Morganfield.
She was the oldest member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sturgis, president of Homemakers in Sturgis and a member of the PTA. She was also Citizen of the Year in 1956 in Sturgis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Davis Sr, who died in 1974; and one son, Roy Davis Jr., who died in 1987.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Kearney and Amy Truitt, both of Sturgis; one son, Robert H. Davis of Sturgis; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Rebecca Salisbury will officiate. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Cleona Adkins Wood
OCALA, Fla. -- Cleona Adkins Wood, 87, Ocala, formerly of Henderson, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Munroe Regional Medical Center here.
She was a receptionist employed by the Marion County Health Department. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Ocala.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Norma May; and one son, Wayne Adkins.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Adkins of Ocala, and Jack Adkins of Belleview, Fla.; one sister, Jackie Cox of Henderson; two brothers, Arnold Walker and William Earl Walker, both of Henderson; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home in Ocala. The Rev. Phillip Hanes officiated. Burial was in Anthony Cemetery in Anthony, Fla.
William David Boswell
William David Boswell, 91, Henderson, died at 2:03 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Whirlpool Corp. in 1979.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Greta Boswell Smith, who died in 1964.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Geraldine S. Boswell; one sister, Elizabeth Newman of Hebbardsville; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Fairmont Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home and after noon Saturday at the church.

Barbara Ann Howard Kurtz
Barbara Ann Howard Kurtz, 53, Henderson, died at 12:04 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2001, in Waverly.
She was a member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Stacey Klinginsmith of Rock Springs, Wyo.; one son, Johnathan Kurtz of Henderson; two sisters, Vickie Willett of Waverly and Sandy Ward of Henderson; four grandchildren; one step grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Bill Pollack will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice of Union County.

Dorothy Ann Brown Wathen
Dorothy Ann Brown Wathen, 77, Henderson, died at 7:05 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health Systems.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and was a retired secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James Lewis Wathen, who died July 26, 1997.
Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Brown Davidson and Betty Brown Pritchett, both of Henderson; one brother, Fred C. Brown of Henderson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. J. Edward Bradley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and until 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 6 p.m. tonight.

Katie Stroube West
Katie Stroube West, 98, Henderson, died at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Temple and a former member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Christian County, where she taught Sunday school for more than 50 years. She was also a teacher for the Christian County school system.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Austin West, who died June 30, 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Brady Brinkley and Emily K. Sohne Wooldridge, both of Henderson; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
The Rev. R. Joseph Tricquet Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Christian County.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Thomas Fenwick
SLAUGHTERS -- Thomas Fenwick, 84, Slaughters, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
A blacksmith for 37 years, he retired in 1975 from North Side Auto Spring. He was also a Protestant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Epley Fenwick, who died in November, 1978.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith LeGrand of Madisonville and Janet Durso of Tamassee, S.C.; three sons, Gerald "Red" Fenwick of Evansville, and Delbert Fenwick Jr. and Donald "Donnie" Fenwick, both of Slaughters; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Simpson-Meyer Funeral Home in Evansville. The Rev. Danny Lutz will officiate. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville.
