Mary Pearl Ray
PROVIDENCE -- Mary Pearl Ray, 92, Providence, died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was a member of Christ Temple Church in Providence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eurie Ray, who died in February, 1988.
Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Hodges of Providence, Naomi West of Elizabethtown and Janet McCormick of Bowling Green; three sons, Raymond Ray of Clay and Carroll Ray and Paul Ray, both of Providence; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Melton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Providence.
Friends may call until service time today at the funeral home.
Lucy English
Lucy English, 87, Henderson, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.
She was a member of Fairview General Baptist Church. She was a retired Henderson County School system employee and had worked as a private sitter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Turner English, who died Sept. 13, 2000, and by one son, Jerry Wayne English.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Jean Newman, Shirley Ann Bailey, and Debby Lynn Holsing, all of Henderson, and Phyllis Sue Howard of Edmond, Okla.; one son, Jimmy Dale English of Henderson; one brother, Thurman Howard of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are pending at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
Margaret Fitzgerald Toy
Margaret Fitzgerald Toy, 85, Henderson, died at 2:53 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home.
She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir and had served as secretary of the administrative board.
She was a partner in the family-owned and operated Fitzgerald Furniture business. She also belonged for many years to Business and Professional Women.
She was a volunteer for many organizations and worked with the Food Pantry.
Survivors include her brother, Maurice Fitzgerald of Henderson; two stepsons, James Toy of Melbourne, Fla., and David Toy of Danville, Ky.; three nieces who were her caretakers, Mary Ann McClure Blackwell of Columbus, Ind., and Carol Sue Hall and Margaret "Meg" Fitzgerald Burnley, both of Henderson; five step grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Revs. Rebecca Curry and K. Richard Holladay will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today and until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First United Methodist Church, Tri-state Multiple Sclerosis Association or a favorite charity.

Charles Lee Gentry
Charles Lee Gentry, 54, Henderson, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001.
He was of the Methodist faith. He was a farmer for 33 years.
Survivors include one son, John D. Presley of Henderson; his mother, Beatrice Rigdon of Sebree; one sister, Jane Elizabeth Eckert of Birdseye, Ind.; three brothers, Jerry Gentry of Corydon, and Paul James Gentry Jr. and David E. Gentry, both of Henderson; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home.
The Rev. Harry Lewis will officiate.
Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery in Corydon.

Dorothy Jean Wilson
Dorothy Jean Wilson, 71, Henderson, died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at Parkview Nursing Home in Evansville.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Wilson, who died April 15, 1997.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Faye Jones of Haubstadt, Ind., and one sister, Charlotte Felty of Henderson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Merillat will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Robards.

MANITOU, Ky. -- Vera Lucy Lamb, 95, Manitou, died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Madisonville.
She was a homemaker and a member of Oakley Home General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. Lamb, who died in 1990; one daughter, Mildred Louise Duncan; and one son, James Louis Lamb.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Nelle Hoyer of Louisville and Betty Oakley of Nebo, Ky.; two sons, Kenneth Lamb of Providence and Tommy Lamb of Nebo; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville.
