MORGANFIELD -- Silas Lee, 87, died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2001, at his home here.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Lee; one daughter, Sue Updike, of Indianapolis; four sisters, Nancy Jenkins of Henderson, Mildred Springer of Morganfield, Rebecca Higginson of Alva, Fla., and Virginia Floyd of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walnut Grove Church of Christ in Union County. Brother Tom Kirby will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

Elizabeth Mae Kessinger
BEAVER DAM, Ky. -- Elizabeth Mae Kessinger, 83, Beaver Dam, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
She was a housewife and a member of Independance Baptist Church near McHenry.
She was preceded in death by one son, Edward Kessinger.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Kessinger; two sons, Robert Kessinger of Robards, and Orville Kessinger of Eau Clair, Mich.; four sisters, Lova Moseley of Beaver Dam, Rubena Moseley of McHenry, and Tressie Edwards and Margaret Leisure, both of Ashland, Ohio; one brother, Robert Stone of Beaver Dam; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mary Anne Payne Huber
VISALIA, Calif. -- Mary Anne Payne Huber, 75, Visalia, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed shopping, spending time with friends and going to senior dances.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Huber, who died in 1984.
Survivors include five daughters, Deborah Combs of Encino, Calif., Theresa Huber and Cathy Huber, both of Visalia, Helen Huber of Exeter, Calif., and Jenny Spilsbury of Las Vegas; two sons, Bobby Huber and Adam Huber, both of Visalia; three sisters, Jane Skelton of Henderson, Betty Jean Reisert of Clarksville, Ind., and Martha Lee Nicholas of Berea, Ohio; and three brothers, William "Bill" Payne and B.R. "Bob" Payne, both of Henderson, and Vincent Payne of Bloomington, Ind.
Services will be at 9 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vasalia. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Hanford, Calif.
Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Agnes Partridge
Mary Agnes Partridge, 85, Henderson, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and was retired from Klutey's Jewelry Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Partridge, who died in 1982; and one son, Charles C. Partridge, who died in 1995.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Foster of Old Town, Fla.; one sister, Mae Elizabeth Dowell of Owensboro; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at noon Friday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. Andrew Garner will officiate. Entombment will be in Fairmont Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Tapp Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Clayton "Shorty" Faulkner
SEBREE -- Clayton "Shorty" Faulkner, 84, Sebree, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Madisonville.
He was a retired truck driver who was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include three sisters, Rita Preston and Helen Sohmer, both of Bluefield, W.Va., and Marion Lane of Princeton, W.Va.; and two brothers, Glenzil Faulkner and Edgel Faulkner, both of Richwood, W.Va.
There will be no services or visitation. Remains will be cremated.
Tompkins Funeral Homes, Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree is in charge of arrangements.
Dena Ladon Owens
SEBREE -- Dena Ladon Owens, 31, Sebree, died from complications of pacemaker surgery at 3:44 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2001, at Mercy Health System in Owensboro.
She was a member of Audubon Baptist Church in Henderson. She was a 1988 graduate of Henderson County High School and a 1992 graduate of Greenville Technical College in South Carolina. She was a surgical technician.
Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Mark Owens; two daughters, Whitley Marie Owens and Riliegh Elizabeth Owens, both of Sebree; her mother, Peggy Fitzgerald of Evansville; and her father, Daniel Banks of Las Vegas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan Todd will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until noon Thursday at the funeral home.

Robert C. Christian
STURGIS -- Robert C. Christian, 81, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at his home here.
He was a member of Sturgis Church of Christ. He owned and operated Western Auto in Sturgis for 39 years. He was a first lieutenant during World War II, serving in the Pacific. He also taught school in Trigg County.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Berry Christian, who died in 1992.
Survivors include his wife of six years, Virginia Wells Christian; one daughter, Ann Greenwell of Marion, Ky.; one stepson, Charles N. Wells of Sturgis; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Revs. Daniel Askew and Sam Belo will officiate. Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
