Clarence E. "Tooter" Capeheart, 70, Henderson, died at 7:48 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He was a member of Gilleyville Community Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Patty Ann Hamilton of Henderson, Delores Moseley of Dixon and Judy Beasley of Hebbardsville; one son, Mike Capeheart of Hebbardsville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one nephew.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Hebbardsville.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Matthew "Matt" Chester
Matthew "Matt" Chester, 54, Henderson, died at 1:53 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
He was a retired truck driver for the City of Henderson Sanitation Department.
Survivors include his companion, Juanita Cobb of Henderson; one daughter, Yvonne Chester of Henderson; one sister, Shirley Parchman of Evansville; three brothers, Cornelius Chester of Henderson, and Jodie Chester and Hezekiah Chester, both of Evansville; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in Henderson. The Rev. James R. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Gladys "Pat" Nix Hultquist
Gladys "Pat" Nix Hultquist, 75, Henderson, formerly of Selma, Ala., died at 10 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2001, at her home.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Seales of Camden, Ala., and Judy Mayes of Henderson; four brothers, James Powell and Lester Powell, both of Prattville, Ala., Gerald Powell of Anniston, Ala., and Vester Powell of Marbury, Ala.; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pineview Memorial Gardens in Selma. The Rev. Douglas Powell will officiate.

Millard Ransom Sr.
EVANSVILLE -- Millard Ransom Sr., 81, died at 2:15 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2001, at his home here.
He was retired from Fiegel Construction. He was a construction worker for Laborers and Hod Carriers Local No. 561. A native of Clarksville, Tenn., he was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Woodlawn, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Beatrice Sue Ransom; one daughter, Sandra Ransom of Mount Vernon, Ill; three sons, Millard Ransom Jr. of Radcliff, Ky., and Carl Ransom and Ronnie Ransom, both of Clarksville; one sister, Margie Chinn of Evansville; one brother, Frank Ransom of Indianapolis; his caretakers, Linda Chinn Andrews and Bobby Horn, both of Evansville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel in Evansville. The Revs. W.R. Brown Sr. and W.R. Brown Jr. will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date.

Eugenia K. Vincent
Eugenia K. Vincent, 64, Henderson, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Little Canaan Baptist Church and was an avid reader and gardener. She had worked at Community Methodist Hospital, Redbanks nursing home and White Swan Laundry.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Vincent; three daughters, Theresa O'Neal of Henderson, Gevenia Stott of Indianapolis and Marva J. Robertson of Memphis, Tenn.; five sons, Michael Robertson and Gary Robertson, both of Henderson, Lawrence Robertson of Evansville, Ronald Walker of Eddyville and Christopher McFarland of Louisville; two stepdaughters, Toni Dumas of Henderson and Anna Vincent of Chicago; four sisters, Drucilla Jones, Shirley McGuire and Edna Young, all of Evansville, and Julia Sloan of Indianapolis; four brothers, McIvory McFarland of Henderson, William Henry Leachman of Evansville, Joseph Leachman of Indianapolis and Samuel Wayne Leachman of California; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at Osborne Funeral Home in Evansville.
"Ms. Buddy" "Gobbie" Peak
WAVERLY -- "Ms. Buddy" "Gobbie" Peak, 78, Waverly, died of a stroke at 8:10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson.
A member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waverly, she attended St. Vincent Academy and graduated from Morganfield High School.
Survivors include her husband, William S. "Buddy" Peak Sr.; two daughters, Debbie Hale of Uniontown and Irene Rich of Clay; four sons, Billy Steve Peak of Morganfield and Eddie Peak, Bobby Peak and Tony Peak, all of Waverly; four sisters, Llewellian Pike of Henderson, Pat Long of Morganfield and Helen Jean Dobbs and Betty Kennedy, both of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Bob Willett will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today.
George H. Berry
PROVIDENCE -- George H. Berry, 80, Providence, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.
A retired painter, he was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, having received the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He was a member of Diamond Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Berry, who died Jan. 8, 1992.
Survivors include one sister, Donna Landon of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, the Rev. Kermit Berry of Providence; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. The Rev. Rick Oakley will officiate. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery near Providence.

Laura Sterling
Laura Sterling, 67, Henderson, died at 6:06 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Medco Center of Henderson.
A member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, she was a retired private duty nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus L. Sterling, who died in 1986.
Survivors include one daughter, Loretta Miller of Louisville; one son, Robert P. Lee of Henderson; one sister, Martha Triggs of Stanford, Conn.; two brothers, James C. Jones of Pasedena, Calif., and Alvin Gist of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in Henderson. The Rev. Robert L. Whitlock will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
