Clyde O. Bell
LIBERTY -- Clyde O. Bell, 99, of Liberty died Saturday at Bowling Green Medical Center.
Born Feb. 15, 1901, in Dunnville, he was a son of the late Jesse and Dora Patton Bell. He was a farmer and a member of Mount Pleasant Church. He was the widower of Grace Foster Bell.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Bell and Paul Bell, both of Liberty; a sister, Clara Terry of Cincinnati; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Proctor. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Garry, Larry, Barry and Phillip Bell, Harold Girard and Mike Kearney.

Oscar Ellis
RICHMOND -- Oscar Ellis, 83, of Madison County, died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital East, Lexington.
Born in Casey County, he was a farmer and a member of Durbin Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Oscar Ellis III of Lexington; two daughters, Anna Wilcox of Richmond and Frances Rhorer of Lexington; a sister, Martha Jefferes of Hustonville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home by Roy Van Camp. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

George W. Gee
SCIENCE HILL -- George William "Bob" Gee, 77, of Science Hill died Friday at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 4, 1922, in Jacobs, he was a son of the late Marma Duke and Lula Belle Clifton Gee. He was a drywall contractor and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans and a member of Science Hill Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Gee; a son, George M. Gee of Lancaster; two daughters, Ada M. Burkett and Regina A. Gee, both of Somerset; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Gloria Gee and Phyllis I. Snyder.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lange and New Brothers Funeral Home by Anna Tucker. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military rites by Somerset American Legion Post 38.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Bessie A. Robbins
STANFORD -- Bessie Allene Roberts, 80, of Neals Creek Road died Sunday at her home.
Born Aug. 22, 1919, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Verdelle Young Kirkpatrick. She was the widow of Andrew J. Robbins.
Survivors include four nieces, Jennifer Williams and Donna Sheron, both of Stanford, Judy Smith of Moreland and Brenda Bottoms of Lexington; two nephews, Anthony Brown of Lancaster and Shawn Williams of Stanford.
Pallbearers will be John Holtzclaw, Welry Hamm, Ray Middleton, Roger Meek, Donnie Gilliam and Danny Gilliam.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by Jeff Coleman. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

HARRODSBURG -- Bess Allen McMurray, 103, of Harrodsburg died Saturday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born May 9, 1897, in Woodford County, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Mary Elizabeth Yowell Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of Joseph Chapel Methodist Church. She was the widow of T.E. McMurray.
Survivors include a nephew, Donald L. Cole of Harrodsburg; and a great-nephew, Stanley Jordan Jr. of Hamilton, Ohio.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Spring Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Mark Girard.
Memorials may go to Haggin hospital.

Carlton L. Drury
HARRODSBURG -- Carlton Levon Drury, 74, of Danville Road died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Jan. 30, 1926, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Carl and Nita Mae Drury. A Navy veteran of World War II, he owned and operated Drury Saddlery and was a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kennon Sims Drury; three daughters, Suzanne Grable of Lexington, Judy Renfrow of Harrodsburg, and Paulette Drury of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Levon Drury.
Services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Lewis Walter. Burial with military rites will be in Grapevine Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today.

MORELAND -- Virginia Catron Norris, 75, of Middleburg died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 29, 1924, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late W.A. and Ophelia Burge Catron. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, B.C. Norris of Middleburg; a brother, William Catron of Waynesburg; a daughter, Cheryl Norris Rodgers of Middleburg; and a grandson.

LIBERTY -- Virgie Buck Walters, 86, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Liberty, died Friday in Hamilton.
Born Oct. 7, 1913, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Mose and Melissa Edwards Johnson. She was a former employee of Casey County War Memorial Hospital and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Wilburn Buck and Lewis Walters.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Sporing of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ila Cochran of Campbellsville and Carolyn Schuerfarnz of Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Gertie Brown and Beulah Langford, both of Liberty; a half-sister, Kathryn Randolph of Middleburg; a stepsister, Lina Atwood of Liberty; a stepbrother, John Whited of Liberty; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel Buck.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Revs. Richard Ledford and Jeff Edwards. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

Born April 19, 1910, in Helenwood, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Vaughn Monroe West and Nancy Arlena Moore West. She was a former employee of McDowell hospital and a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Mitchell Botts.
Survivors include nieces Helen L. Hastey of Louisville, Betty Lou West Pelfrey of Covington, Anna Mae West Queen of Fairfield, Ohio, and Reba Lloyd of Milton, W.Va.; and nephews, J. Clifton Lloyd of Louisville and James C. Stanley of Kansas City, Mo.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Brewsaugh, Charles Burton, Oren Clem, Carl Greene, Kirt Settles and Ed Hinkle.

James L. Stallworth
Services for James Lawrence "Stally" Stallworth, 58, of Clifton Road, Danville, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Saint James AME Church by the Rev. Everett Hobson. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.

He died Thursday at his residence.
Born June 16, 1941, in Repton, Ala., he was the son of the late Bobby Lee and Mary Stallworth.
An Air Force veteran, he was a retired Southern Railway employee and a Methodist.
Survivors include his former wife, Tillie Stallworth of Danville; a daughter, Lafonda Stallworth of Danville; four sons, Cedric Stallworth of Harrodsburg, Samuel Keith Stallworth of Danville, James Lamonte Stallworth of Spain, and Marcus Stallworth of Frankfort; three brothers, Arthur Bright of California, Bobby Stallworth of Ellenwood, Ga., and Joe Stallworth of Fayetteville, Ga.; four sisters, Mary Meaux of Danville, Lucille Bellemy of Gaskin, S.C., Margaret Singleton of Youngstown, Ohio, and Masie Norward of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bennie Phillips, James Hunn, George Woods, John Harris, Larry Letcher and Cliford Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Grey, Marvin Swann, Jack Bowman, Michael Smith, Eugene Fish, Donald Pruitt, Samuel Whitehead and George Whitehead.
