Judith Shelton, 57, Henderson, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Airline Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Shelton; two daughters, Jamie Brooks and Trisha Lawson, both of Evansville; one stepson, Chris Shelton of Henderson; her mother, Mary Belle Roy of Henderson; her father, L.B. Todd of Henderson; one sister, Brenda Loney of Henderson; one brother, Ronnie Todd of Henderson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Katherine Rueff
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Katherine Rueff, 84, Evanston, formerly of Henderson, died at 4:10 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2001, at North Shore Retirement Hotel here.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Henderson General Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Rueff.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Buck of Munster, Ind., and Jenny Carney of Gurnee, Ill.; a son, Carroll D. Villines of Henderson; a brother, Frank Miller of Dixon; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a niece and a nephew.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at North Shore Retirement Hotel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Denver, Colo.
Donnellan Family Funeral Services in Evanston is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Christine Scates
Mary Christine Scates, 80, Corydon, died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home.
She was a member of Corydon Missionary Baptist Church and Corydon Homemakers Club. She was also a 4-H Leader for nine years and was a Kentucky Colonel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Scates, who died April 8, 1994; and one daughter, Mary Alice Scates, who died Jan. 14, 1992.
Survivors include one daughter, Florence Treberg of Evansville; one sister, Juanita Ramsey of Irvington, Ky.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Corydon Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in Corydon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and until 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, and after 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

James Burton
PROVIDENCE -- James Burton, 77, Providence, died at 2:24 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and a life member of VFW Post No. 5484. He was in the 630th Division of Combat Engineers in World War II. He was also a member of Providence General Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Opal C. Burton, who died April 14, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Ed Burton of Crittenden, Ky., and Bill Burton of Eddyville; one sister, Carolyn Dunbar of Providence; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry Cullen will officiate. Entombment will be in Lakeview Masoleum.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Nannie Mae "Judy" Latta
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Nannie Mae "Judy" Latta, 78, Huntsville, died Tuesday at her home here.
She was a retired employee of Huntsville City Board of Education. She was also a member of Highlands Baptist Church in Huntsville.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Medal of Huntsville; one brother, J.T. Green of Henderson; two sisters, Dana Sauer of Henderson and Lou Butler of Evansville; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Highlands Baptist Church. The Rev. John Thweet will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson.

Anna Elizabeth Sandefur
Anna Elizabeth Sandefur, 85, Henderson, died at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.
She was a member of Bellfield Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a bus driver for Henderson County High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sandefur, who died in 1970; one daughter, Carolyn Jackson, who died in 1982; and two sons, Don Sandefur, who died in 1994, and Buddy Sandefur, who died in 1994.
Survivors include three daughters, Glynda Blanford of Henderson, Jeannie Easterday of Livingston, Texas, and Debbie Parkee of Henderson County; one sister, Mary Lilly Hooper of Henderson County; one brother, Vernon P. Thompson of Henderson, Nev.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

William Walton "Bill" Baumgardner
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. -- William Walton "Bill" Baumgardner, 68, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, at his home here.
He was a member of The Elizabethtown Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Priddy Baumgardner; three daughters, Maevon Gutekunst of Louisville, Billie Ann King of Danville, and Candy Metcalfe of Cecelia, Ky.; two sons, Pete Baumgardner of New York, N.Y., and C. Bud Baumgardner of Elizabethtown; one sister, Patty Jo Ewing of Henderson; two brothers, Bobby Baumgardner of Louisville, and Mike Baumgardner of Madisonville; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton, Ky. The Revs. Mike Lanway and J.D. Ship will officiate. Burial will be in Brackett Cemetery.
