William Earl Lacy Sr. 85 died at Georgetown Healthcare Thurs. Jan. 12, 2006. He was born in Wolfe Co. March 8, 1920 to the late Andrew Courtney and Anna Pearl Lacy and is the widower of Edna Mae Lacy. William was a retired Farmer and a member of the First Christian Church in Georgetown and a former member of the Hazel Green Christian Church, a Mason, Lodge 507, Member of Farm Bureau, and served on the Board of Directors for Southern States and National Farmers Organization and was a member of the Square Dance Club and help start several other Clubs. Survivors include 2 sons John (Rosemary) Lacy, Georgetown, William Earl (Patricia) Lacy Jr. Ocla Fl. 1 daughter Katherine (Rev. Fred) Nippert Edwardsport In. 5 Grandchildren Preston Lacy, Robert (Valarie) Lacy, Karen Nippert, Tim (Kerry) Nippert, and Susan (Rene') Moller and 2 Great Grandchildren. Services will be Sat. Jan. 14, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tucker, Yocum, and Wilson Funeral Home and the Burial will be at Hazel Green Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Fred Nippert Officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. at the Funeral Home and also from 2-3 P.M. at the Hazel Green Christian Church. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Christian Church.

Georgetown - Ralph John Elias age 86 and the widower of Nathalie Rybka Elias died Thursday Jan. 12, 2006 at Georgetown Community Hospital. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 25, 1919 and was the son of the late Carl and Frieda Basmagy Elias. He was a retired Plant Manager for Hoover Company of Georgetown. He was a decorated World War II Army veteran receiving the Bronze and Silver Star Medals while serving in the European Theater of the War, he was a also a member of the Amvets. Survivors include son, Bruce (Lynn) Elias of Lexington, Ky., daughter, Linda (Bill) Taylor of Georgetown, Ky., Grandsons, Brad (Nicole) Elias, Ben Elias, Ryan Taylor and Nick Taylor.Great Granddaughter; Victoria Elias. Special nephew Michael Bova and niece Geraldine Nagy and all his special friends at the Beehive of Georgetown. Georgetown - Roy Samuel Morgan Jr., 82, husband of Delma Parrish Morgan, died Friday., January 13, 2006 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born in Scott Co., KY, Dec. 5, 1923 to the late Roy S. & Mary Elizabeth Donavan Morgan Sr.. He was Co-Owner of Morgan & Crenshaw, a farmer & groundskeepers for Longview Country Club. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of Great Crossing Baptist Church, former member & past president of Georgetown Rotary Club, Scott Co. He was born in Madison County on December 23, 1941 and was the son of the late William Bradley and Nona Lee Gullett Barnes. He was a retired truck driver for Phoenix Transportation Company and was the manager of the Sleepy Hollow Boys. He was a member of Gano Baptist Church, a long time member & deacon of Dry Run Baptist Church, served as Scott County Commissioner in the late 50's, a member of the National Rifle Association & KY Farm Bureau, a retired farmer & former employee of Scott Co. Board of Ed. Georgetown - Dorothy Louise Taylor, 82, died Saturday, January 21, 2006, at the Hospice Care Center, Lexington. She was born August 27, 1923 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky, to the late Roy B. and Cynthia Hazel Powers Moody. She was a World War II veteran, serving in the Women's Army Corps branch of the U.S. Army and a member of the Scott County Church of Christ. While in the service, she was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she resided for an additional 24 years, during which time she co-founded Fairbanks Builders Construction Company and completed her education at the University of Alaska. She obtained her license as a Certified Public Accountant in 1968, she continued to practice until her death. A lifelong faithful member of the church, she was one of the founding members of the first Church of Christ in Fairbanks, Alaska. Over the years, she donated countless hours of professional services to various civic and charitable organizations throughout central Kentucky. She was the recipient of numerous awards during her career, including the Gerogetown-Scout County Chamber of Commerce Businesswoman of the Year award. She is survived by two children: Gary E. Carroway of Anchorage, Alaska; and Carolyn (Mike) Carroway Huellemeier of Georgetown, Kentucky; four grandchildren: Alexander Carroway and Elise Carroway of Wasilla, Alaska; Alex Huellemeier and Holly Huellemeier of Georgetown, Kentucky; 2 brothers: Daniel Moody of Stamping Ground, Kentucky and Jeff Moody of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; 3 sisters: Edith Soutworth and Beulah June Moody, both of Georgetown, Kentucky; and Peggy Nelson of St. Helens, Oregan; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Nina and Deborah Moody and Betty Lou Fite; 4 brothers, Phillip, John, Ronald and Tommy Moody. Services will be Friday, January 27, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Dayton and Rev. Lexington Coots officiating. Burial will be in the Moody Family Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Mike and Alex Huellemeier, Justin Marshall, Jarred Slone, Daniel Moody, Ken Borror, Lloyd Martin and Tom Coots. She was baptized and a former member of Stamping Ground Baptist Church where she was a member of Fidelias Sunday Class and started the Sunbeams Mission Class.
