Evelyn Miller Maggard, 67, Harlan, died Feb. 2, 2006, at the Harlan Nursing Home.
A native of Harlan, she was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben Maggard; her parents, Alvis Miller and Lucy Rutherford Miller; three brothers: Buster Miller, Frank Miller and Earnest Miller; and one sister, Margie Thompson.
Survivors include one brother, Charles Miller, Harlan; special caregivers: Charlene Helton and Juanita McKenzie; one sister-in-law, Ruth Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces.
Graveside services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery with the Chaplain Kirk Hall officiating.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Loyall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Tammy Peace, 38, Bobs Creek, died Jan. 24, 2006, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A native of Cawood, Peace was born Nov. 10, 1968. She was a graduate from Pineville Technical College and a former L.P.N. at the Harlan ARH Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Maynard Middleton; her grandparents, Eva and Tom Earls; and an uncle, Virgil Earls.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy Peace, Bobs Creek; two sons: Joseph Peace, Bobs Creek; and Michael Earls, Cawood; her mother, Opal Earls, Cawood; three sisters: Teresa Haynes and husband, James, Cawood; Eva Noe and husband, Todd, Cawood; and Lisa Earls, Maynardville, Tenn.; one brother, James Earls, Cawood; three nephews: Chris Noe, Daniel Noe and Josh Noe; one niece, Natasha Haynes; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Daniels officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery at Keith.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Clarence E. Pridemore Sr., 74, Evarts, died Jan. 29, 2006, at the East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.
A retired steel bridge construction employee, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the United Steel Workers Union, a Kentucky Colonel and an avid bear watcher. He was a native and lifelong resident of Harlan County. He believed in the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Esther Cowan Pridemore, his father, Bill Pridemore, and two brothers: Arthur L. Pridemore and Ernest Pridemore.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carol Farley Pridemore, Evarts; a son, Eddie Pridemore, Knoxville; a sister, Alice Boggs and husband, Bobby, Woodbridge, Va.; two sisters-in-law: Bernice Pridemore, Woodbridge, and Judy Pridemore, Evarts; special friends: Tammy Snapp and Jack Blanton; nieces and nephews: Kim Lund and husband, Mike; Arthur Pridemore Jr. and wife, Marietta; Pam Wilson and husband, Tom; Ernie Pridemore Jr. and wife, Gabi; Jon Pridemore and wife, Melinda; Mari Blevins and husband, Travis; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday at the Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Buchanan and the Rev. Buddy Simpson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with military rites performed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Marvin J. Lipfird, Charles Ross, Rick Shelton, Troy Smith, Ernie Pridemore Jr., Jon Pridemore and David Pridemore.

Minnie E. Shoemaker, 68, Coldiron, died Feb. 1, 2006, at her residence.
A native of Harlan, she was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Shoemaker; and her parents, Claude Hensley and Edna Russell Hensley.
Survivors include two children: Eddie Shoemaker and wife, Ronda, Coldiron; and Willis Shoemaker and wife, Nancy, Coldiron; five brothers: Otis Hensley Sr., Coldiron; Earl Hensley and wife, Midge, Tremont; Floyd Hensley and wife, Gladys, Cincinnati, Ohio; Jimmy Hensley, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Billy Hensley, Coldiron; four sisters: Joyce Brucker, Coldiron; Georgette Burkhart, Tremont; Sally Matheny, Arizona; and Claudine Hendrix, Tennessee; six grandchildren: Sandra Hensley, Anthony Hensley, Brian Hensley, Brandon Shoemaker, Jessica Shoemaker and Kristin Shoemaker; and one great-grandchild, Kirayl Hensley.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. James Gross and Edmond Gross officiating.
Burial will follow in Shoemaker Cemetery.

Thompson of Bay City, Texas. She was a member of Victory Life Church and was a Legal Assistant at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Company. Jack L. Williams 68, husband of Janet B. Williams died Dec. 7, 2005 at the Georgetown Community Hospital. He was born in Marion Oh. on March 25, 1937 to the late Basil and Ruth Persinger Williams. Jack was a retired Purchasing Agent and Engineer for Sonopress and served in the Army National Guard and Reserve for 17 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Lester Dillard Brewer, 78 died Wed. Dec. 14, 2005 at his home. He was the widower of Luella Rice Brewer. He was born March 20, 1927 in Scott Co. to the late Mathew Brewer and Morah Shirley Brewer Turpin. He retired from constuction work and was a lifetime member of International Union of Opereating Engineers local 181.He was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God and a WWII Navy Veteran. Survivors include a son, Lester W. (Sue) Brewer; 3 Daughters, Meryl Patterson, Bessie (Davis) Pollitt, and Morah (Mark) Shell; 10 Grandchildren Tony Paterson, Davy Pollitt, Vanessa Stewart, Mathew Brewer, Jamie Townsend, Luella Barrett, Clarissa Shell, Steven Brewer, Joseph Shell, and Nicky Shell; a step grandson Adam Shell; 14 great grandchildren; 7 Step great grandchildren; 2 adopted great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and his special friend and co-worker of 50 years Nolan Glass.
