Florence Botts, 90, of Danville died this morning at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Stith Funeral Home.

James Stallworth, 58, of Clifton Road died Thursday at home of natural causes.

HARRODSBURG -- Levon Drury, 74, of Harrodsburg died early this morning at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Minnie M. True

LIBERTY -- Minnie Marie True, 88, of Liberty died Thursday at her residence.

Born Oct. 31, 1911, in Texas, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mattie Dickens Morrison and the widow of Roy True. She was a housewife, a member of Bush Creek Christian Church and of the Bush Creek Homemakers Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Gay Steinhauer of Cincinnati; a son, Curtis True of Liberty; one brother, Windle Morrison of Cincinnati; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Don Godbey, Don Richardson, Joe Burton, Jerry and David King and Dempsey Stafford.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Homer Hecht. Burial will be in the Bush Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday.

Earl D. Hawthorne

HARRODSBURG -- Graveside services for Earl D. Hawthorne, 50, of Boone Street will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Cemetery by Fred Knickerbocker.

He died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

Born Dec. 10, 1949, in Anderson County, he was the son of the late J.T. and Beatrice Royalty Hawthorne. He was also a former car salesman.

Survivors include three aunts, Effie Royalty and Hazel Davenport, both of Harrodsburg, and Mary E. Royalty of Mercer County; and two uncles, Bobby Royalty of Mercer County and Herman Royalty of Dayton, Ohio.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Snow, Keith Casey, Jody Huffman, Jonny Dean, Joe Burton and Mike Royalty.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Inez F. Rogers

Inez Florence Rogers, 70, of Stewarts Lane, Junction City, died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born June 18, 1929, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Edna Baxter Cutter. She was a homemaker and a former co-owner of Bargain Barn Furniture which she owned with her husband.

Survivors include her husband, Wince Rogers; a son, Jerry Rogers of Junction City; a daughter, Wanda Bugg of Harrodsburg; a brother, Albert Cutter of Cincinnati; three sisters, Mary Ann Willoughby of Danville, Geneva Keller of Lancaster and Pearl Douglas of Michigan; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Odis Clark. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike and Chris Cocanougher, Larry, William and Randy Cochran, and Joe Davis and Jimmy Cutter.

Honorary pallbearer is Jimmy Davis.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

LANCASTER -- Nannie Mae Rankin Duncan, 81, of Lancaster died Monday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.

Oran Patterson

STANFORD -- Oran Patterson, 79, of Maywood Road died Saturday at his home.

Born Sept. 17, 1920, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Walter and Nancy Carman Patterson. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Emma Greer Patterson; five sons, Billy Patterson and David Patterson, both of Stanford, and Ronald Patterson of Broughtontown, W.C. Patterson of Waynesburg and Donald Patterson of Hustonville; four daughters, Joyce Bryan and Nancy Wrenn, both of Danville, and Juanita Padgett and Patricia Merrell, both of Stanford; three brothers, Cleo Patterson and Dallas Patterson, both of Waynesburg, and Etheridge Patterson of Georgia; 32 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Patterson.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home by Johnny Adamson. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jamie, Steve, Donnie, David and Roger Patterson and Joe League. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Bailey and Christopher and Warren Patterson.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Hubert B. Hood

Services for Hubert B. Hood, 82, of West Erskine Drive will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gethsemane Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Payton. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery

He died Saturday at Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born Dec. 3, 1917, in Pulaski County.

Pallbearers are Hershel McKinley, Jerry Milburn, Kirby Stafford, Donald Haydon, Gordon Lovins, Everett Stafford, Carlos Lee and Sonny Hood.

Honorary pallbearers are Hayden Simpson Sunday School Class, Delbert Walters, Joe Sims, J.D. Chambers, and Dr. Mohammed Shahzad.

Memorials may go to Gethsemane Baptist Church building fund or Heritage Hospice.

Dorothy Evans

LIBERTY -- Services for Dorothy Evans, 66, of Liberty were Monday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry David. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.

She died Saturday at Liberty Care Center.

Born May 6, 1934, in Versailles, she was a daughter of the late Virgil B. and Julia Wethington McWilliams. She was a homemaker. She was the widow of Thomas Carmicle and Delmar Evans.

Survivors include a brother, Eugene McWilliams of Liberty; a sister, Lucille Rigney of Reelsville, Ind.; a grandson; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Louis L. Carmicle and James M. Carmicle.

Walter M. Gehlhausen

STANFORD -- Walter William Gehlhausen, 70, of Darst Street died Saturday at his residence from complications of cancer.

Born Nov. 22, 1929, in Huntingburg, Ind., and was a son of the later Louis L. and Rose Stetter Gehlhausen Dupps. He was a stepson of the late Harry Dupps. He was retired carpenter and mason and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

He was an Army sergeant veteran of the Korean War, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3634 and Post 345, American Legion. He was currently serving as the district vice commander of the American Legion and was a member of the Cree-mee Coffee Club. He was the widower of Virginia Mae Berry Gehlhausen.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Allen Gehlhausen; two sons, Walter C. Gehlhausen of Stanford and Louis Gehlhausen of Frankfort; two daughters, Opal Elkins and Bonieta Kilasa, both of Stanford; five stepsons, Terry Allen of Corinth, Danny Allen of Richmond, and Paul, Frankie and Hughie Allen, all of Lancaster; two brothers, the Rev. Victor J. Gehlhausen of Stanford and Clarence L. Gehlhausen of Jasper, Ind.; five grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home by Johnny Adamson and Terry Holt. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18, American Legion.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Bailey, Mike Dowell, Wayne Berry, Truman Dale Bastin, Frankie Allen, Jerry Harper and David Emery. Honorary pallbearers will be Truman E. Bastin, Samuel D. Bastin, Dr. Brian Ellis and Donnie Denham.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice.

Jessica L. Johnson

LIBERTY -- Jessica Lynn Johnson, 22, of Liberty died Saturday in an automobile accident on U.S. 27, eight miles north of Lancaster.

Born March 16, 1978, in Liberty, she was a daughter of Glenda Singleton of Liberty and the late Bennie Johnson. She was a sales person at Sports Sensation in Danville.

Other survivors include a brother, Brent Wells of Liberty; two half sisters, Shirley Turner of Danville and Amy Griffin of Florida; a maternal grandmother, Lizzie Singleton of Liberty; and paternal grandparents, John and Betty Johnson of Harrodsburg.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Patrick Lane. Burial will be in Grove Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Maudie B. Patterson

MIDDLEBURG --Maudie Black Patterson, 94, of Yosemite died Saturday at Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

Born Oct. 10, 1905, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Stephen M. and Damey E. Eads Goodman. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Arrid Keith Black and Cyrus Patterson.

Survivors include two daughters, Hazel Vest of Yosemite and Karen Barlow of Louisville; a son, Albert Keith Black of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Victor C. Black.

Services were Monday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Gale Durham. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kieran McAninch, Joseph Black, Jake Davis, and Randall, Steven and Joshua Barlow.

Bartle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
