Gladys Lewis, 85, Putney, died Nov. 7, 2005, at Britthaven of the Tri-Cities.
She was retired from Harlan Appalachian Regional Home Respiratory Therapy Department and believed in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bascom Fee and Ella Lewis Fee; her husband, Thomas Lewis; two brothers: Morgan (Bass) Fee and Floyd Fee; and three sisters: Sally Atkins, Loraine Yeary and Lois Hill.
Survivors include two sisters: Elva Fee, Putney; and Mary Price, Lexington; nephews: David Sizemore, Glynn Creech, Bill Fee, Wendell Adkins, Forester Yeary and Jim Horn; nieces: Sue Hall, Wanda Adkins, Shirley Layne, Anna Gay Moore, Teresa Horn and Charlotte Bland.
Visitation will be held today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rich Funeral Home.
Funeal services will be conducted today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Green officiating.
Burial will follow in Lewis Cemetery at Putney.
Bob Platt, Jim Toll, Bryan Toll, Doug Arvin, David Green, John Threadgill, Tim Frazier and Garry Henson Jr. will serve as pallbearers.

Richard Long Jr., 75, Wallins, died Oct. 28, 2005, at his residence.
He was born April 4, 1929, in Harlan County. Long was a retired machine operator and a member of the Berwin, Ill., Masonic Lodge F & A.M. He believed in the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Long Sr. and Sally Howard Long.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Duncan Long, Wallins; four children: Brenda G. Montgomery and husband, Clarence, Bronston; Richard W. Long and wife, Joan, River Grove, Ill.; Mark A. Long and wife, Deanna, Coal City, Ill.; and Patricia A. Becker and husband, Donald, Michigan City, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Huey Long and wife, Fannie Alice, Wallins; and Green Calvin Long and wife, Sandra, Three Deer Inn; a sister, Katherine Howard and husband, Robert, Wallins; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, as well as Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 8 p.m. at funeral home with the Rev. Jim Burkhart and the Rev. Jack Carmical officiating.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Sharon Morgan Matej, 62, Chicago, died Oct. 25, 2005, at Mount Sinai Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Evarts, she was a 1960 graduate of Evarts High School. She was a member of the Evarts Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Telvis Wallace Morgan and Ralph L. Morgan Jr.; her grandparents, Flora Wallace Harrell, Lealon Herrall, Rose Jane Morgan and Ralph Morgan Sr.; and two nephews, Matthew Morgan and Bobby Tomanich.
Survivors include her husband, Al Matej, Chicago; two daughters, Melissa Rivette and husband, Jay, Joliet, Ill., and Shannon Matej Accello; a sister, Myra Pace and Wayne Mumford, Loyall; two brothers, David Scott Morgan and wife, Marge, King Solomon, Ark.; three aunts: Gwen Towe, Colorado; Joella Morgan, Indiana; and Doris Wallace, Michigan; and several nieces and nephew also survive.
Visitation will be held Friday at Archer Funeral Home in Chicago from 2 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.

Hubert D. Mitchell, 59, Totz, died Nov. 17, 2005, at Harlan ARH Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Harlan County, Mitchell believed in the Baptist faith.
He was a Veteran and a member of the Army National Guard. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA Local 7425.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Euna Mae Couch Mitchell; his parents, Isaac and Maudie Clark Mitchell; a daughter, Libby Creech; a brother, Adrin Mitchell; and four sisters: Mary Hall, Mae Davis, Shirley Mitchell and Martha Mitchell.
Survivors include seven children: Dexter Davidson and Pamela Smith, both of Cumberland; Isaac Mitchell, Tonya Saylor and Adam Mitchell, all of Totz; Teresa Hall, Crab Orchard; and John Mitchell, Robinson Creek; a brother, David Mitchell, Ohio; two sisters: Nola Payne and Betty Andrews, Tennessee; and 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Tri City Funeral Home in Benham.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Combs officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mitchell Family Cemetery at Hiram.
Pallbearers will be Perry Saylor, Justin Bafford, Junior Holbrook, Tim Payne, Scott Marcella and Brian Marcella.

Olen Noe
Olen H. Noe, 78, Dearborn Heights, Mich., died Nov. 8, 2005, at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Mich.
A native of Cawood, he was employed by Ford Motor Company for 28 years as a quality control inspector. He retired from Ford Motor in 1993. He was also a UAW member, an army veteran and an active member of NorthRidge Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Noe; an infant daughter, Teresa Ann; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Opel Noe; a daughter, Judy Tharp and husband, David, Greenville, Mich.; a son, Jeffrey Noe and wife, Debra, Canton, Mich.; three grandchildren: Michael Tharp, Milinda Worley and Rachael Noe; a brother, Harold Noe, Cawood; two sisters: Maryella Bray, Cawood; and Ruby Gray, Valrico, Fla.; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 11 at Santeiu and Son Funeral Home in Garden City, Mich.
Burial followed at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland, Mich. Military rites were observed.
Estes Lee Pace

Estes Lee Pace, 70, Madison, Ind., died Oct. 25, 2005 at King's Daughters' Hospital.
Born Jan. 8, 1935, in Harlan, Pace was inducted into the United States Army during the Korean War, rising to the rank T-5, serving in the 101st Airborne. He was honorably discharged and was awarded a certificate for outstanding performance from the headquarters of the Third Armored Division.
Estes loved to play the guitar, mandolin, harmonica and banjo. He was a professional musician and enjoyed performing country music, gospel music and bluegrass. He even performed on the television show 'Hee Haw' in the 1970s.
He also had worked in numerous factories in Covington and Cincinnati.
Estes was a member of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Covington.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Tri-City Funeral Home in Benham.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Hugh Webb officiating.
Interment will follow in Peaceful Acres Cemetery in Hiram.
Pallbearers will be Bob Lunsford, Eugene Wilder, Jimmy Scott, Don Allen, Jeff Boggs and Hal Woods.

George W. 'Colt' Pace, 71, Dizney, died Nov. 12, 2005, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
A native of Dizney, Pace was a retired construction worker for Bill Clark Construction Company. He believed in the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lessie Grubbs and Lee Pace; and four brothers: Tunis Pace, Clarence Pace, Ulysses Pace and Garland Pace.
Survivors include a special friend, Arlene Pace, Dizney; six children: Kimmie Black and husband, Cecil, Ohio; Jimmy Ray Pace, West Virginia; Jeffery Lee Pace, Robert Pace and Jerry Pace, all of Tennessee; and Maria Pace, Evarts; two sisters: Ruby Wilson, Georgia; and Geneva McKinney, North Carolina; two brothers: Verlon Pace and wife, Lillian, Rogerville, Tenn.; and Millard Pace, Dizney; and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today after 10 a.m. at the Locust Grove Baptist Church at Dizney.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Gerald Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pace Cemetery at Dizney. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
