Loretta (Rita) Fields, 57, Moores Hill, Ind., died Nov. 10, 2005, at the Margaret Mary Hospital.
A native of Cumberland, Fields had worked at the Pine Knoll Assisted Living Center in Lawrenceburg, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louie Fouts Sturgill; her husband, Marshall 'Red' Fields; and five brothers.
Survivors include three sons: Victor Halpin and wife, Jill, Cincinnati, Ohio; John Halpin and wife, Pamela, Hamilton, Ohio; and Sean Tomka, Moores Hill; a brother, Clyde Sturgill, Canaan, Ind.; five sisters: Anita McKinley, Moores Hill, Ind.; Verda Smith, St. Augustine, Fla.; Barbara Smith, also of St. Augustine, Fla.; Delores Gail Strickland, Castlehayne, N.C.; and Linda Joyce Zeigler, St. Augustine, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan, Ind.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Huff Cemetery in Cumberland.
Memorials may be made to the Moores Hill Senior Citizens Center.

Carolyn Sue Fugate, 59, Middlesboro, died Nov. 15, 2005, at Pineville Community Hospital.
A native of Harlan County, Fugate was born May 15, 1946 in Pathfork. She was a long-time resident of Middlesboro.
She was a former employee of Cumberland River Comprehensive Care in Middlesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Levi and Rosa Saylor; her mother and father-in-law, Shady and Alka Fugate and May Fugate; six brothers: Thurman, Eulis, Warren, Eugene, Henry and Donald Saylor; and four brothers-in-law: Shady Fugate Jr., Harold, Thurman and Nelson Fugate.
Survivors include her husband of Donald Keith Fugate, Middlesboro; three children: Donna Renee Hill and husband, Junior, Middlesboro; Ernest Keith Fugate and wife, Angie, Carlisle, Ohio; and Terry Douglas and wife, Amy, Corbin; seven grandchildren: Carolyn Nicole Breeden and husband, Anthony, Morristown, Tenn.; Shane Aker, Jesse Aker and Christopher Aker, all of Middlesboro; Kristen Fugate and Ernest Keith Fugate II, both of Carlisle, Ohio; and Nola Grace Fugate, Corbin; two sisters: Nancy M. Vaughn and husband, Eugene, London; and Shirley A. Harber and husband, Jerry, Harrogate, Tenn.; four sisters-in-law: Mildred Saylor and Delores Ann Collins, both of Coldiron; Jewell Saylor, Dallas, N.C.; and Sandra Fugate, Pineville; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Faith Temple Church.
Funeral services will be conducted tonight at 8 at the church with Shawn Baker, Matthew Robbins and J.P. Fugate officiating.
Music will be provided by the church.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at A.R. Dyche Memorial Gardens in London.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Saylor, Chris Saylor, Bill Saylor, Robby Saylor, Jesse Aker, Shane Aker, Junior Hill and Ernest Keith II.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Faith Temple Church or International Fellowship of Christians & Jews.

Ethel Green, Cincinnati, formerly of Harlan, died on Sept. 7, 2005.
Green taught in the Harlan School District until 1952 before moving to Cincinnati where she taught first grade for many years.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Swafford and Egre Lewallen.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Green; her daughter, Jayna Green Wilson and husband, Charles; two grandchildren: David and Brittany King; and a sister, Lillian Coe.
Services have been held.
James Hall
Cumberland, KY
November 6, 2005
James Hall, 84, Cumberland, died Nov. 6, 2005, at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, Tenn.
He was born Oct. 16, 1921, in Benham to the late William and Rebecca Cornett Hall. He was a member of the Harlan Church of Christ and the U.S. Army, having served in World War II in the European Theatre and rose to the rank of sergeant. He was retired from U.S. Steel in Lynch after 40 years of service as an electrician. He was a member of the UMWA.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Nolan Hall, Cumberland; four children: Gay Clark, Kingsport, Tenn.; Kenneth Hall, Somers, N.Y.; Timothy Hall, Johnson City, Tenn.; and Kevin Hall, Sterling, Va.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Day & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Lee Sergent officiating.
Burial will follow in the Nolan Family Cemetery in Chad.
Military rites will be conducted by the Cumberland VFW Post 5171.
Pallbearers will be Scott Hall, Nathan Hall, David Hall, John Stephenson, Wayne Gibbons and Steven Nolan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Conrad Nolan, David Nolan, Dr. Thomas Pruitt and Bob Forester.

Wilbert Ed Helton, 81, Totz, died Nov. 7, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Maggie Perry Helton; his wife, Agnes Helton; a brother, Charles Raymond Helton; and a sister, Geraldine Turner.
Survivors include a son, Donald Helton, Louisville; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Helton, Roswell, Ga.; a brother, Roy Helton, Ohio; grandchildren: Donna Collett, Cawood; Jamie Huckleby, Loyall; David Huckleby, Atlanta, Ga.; Angie Helton, Bryan Helton and Corey Helton, all of Louisville; eight great-grandchildren and two special friends, Brenda and Albert Austin, Putney.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10 to 11 p.m. at Rich Funeral Homer.
Funeral services will also be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. James Forrester officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Joe Delno Hughes, 22, Lejunior, died Oct. 22, 2005, at his residence.
A native of Harlan County, he had lived here all of his life. Hughes was a graduate of Evarts High School and believed in the Baptist faith. He was an equipment operator for Sugar Ridge Land Company.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Yaulanda Stamper Hughes Ball; and a brother, Adrian Hughes.
Survivors include his father, Donnie Hughes, Evarts; grandmother, Effie Stamper, Coxton; four sisters: Patricia Ball, Loyall; Lisa Ball, Manchester; Donna Hughes, Lejunior; and Mary King, Evarts; two brothers, Little Donnie Hughes and Timothy Hughes, both of Evarts; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held anytime Tuesday at the King's Chapel at Lejunior.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at King's Chapel with the Rev. Janice Fulkerson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery.

David Jack Kirby, 37, Lejunior, died Oct. 25, 2005, at Harlan ARH Hospital.
A native of Toledo, Ohio, Kirby moved to Harlan County in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Joan Grogan Kirby, a brother, Bobby Lee Kirby; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Tina Kirby; and maternal grandparents, James and Flora Grogan.
Survivors include his father, Charles E. Kirby Sr., Lejunior; three sisters: Lawana Gail Napier, Highsplint; Alice Durfey and husband, David, Jacksboro, Tenn.; and Kelly Herron, Toledo, Ohio; two brothers: Charles E. Kirby Jr., Highsplint; and Randy Kirby and wife, Debbie, Toledo, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Sanders officiating.
Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.
