Jerry Allen Huff, 56, Cumberland, died March 18, 2005, at the University of Tennessee Hospital.
A native of Totz, he was a former employee of the Scotia Coal Company and believed in the Pentecostal faith.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Bruce Huff.
Survivors include his mother, Dessie Pittman Huff, Totz; his ex-wife, Laquata Huff Bush, Cumberland; two children: Lisa Maggard and husband, Jerry; and Samuel Huff and wife, Rebecca, all of Cumberland; five brothers: Larry Bruce Huff, Cumberland; Robert Ray Huff, Totz; Ronnie Gene Huff, Totz; Gary D. Huff, Benham; and David Perry Huff, Totz; two sisters: Theresa Gail King, Harlan; and Nina Diane Lewis, Loyall; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at Tri-City Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Lewis official. Burial will be in Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland.
Visitation was Monday and after 11 a.m. today at Tri-City Funeral Home.
Tri-City Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Era Maggie Hunt
Cumberland
March 18, 2005
Era Maggie Hunt, 61, Cumberland, died March 18, 2005, at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A native of Lynch, she was a lifelong resident of the county. She believed in the Baptist faith and had been a nurses aide for 11 years. She was employed by the Harlan Nursing Home and Britthaven Nursing Home.
Survivors include three children: James Hunt, Alfred Hunt and Keisha Hunt, all of Cumberland; two brothers: James Hutchinson, Cumberland; and Donald Hutchinson, Cincinnati; one sister, Joyce Sweatt, Louisville; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday at Day & Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Scoville officiating.
Day & Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jon Noe
Joe B. Noe, 71, Harlan, died March 25, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A native of Harlan, he moved to Detroit where he was a factory worker for many years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dessie and Frank Noe; a sister, Lorene Dodson; and two brothers: Eugene Noe and Clarence Noe.
Survivors include five children: Joe Noe, Oklahoma; Johnny Noe, Rockford, Ill; Phyllis and Lucille Noe, both of Mississippi; and Kathy Craig, Loveland, Fla.; six sisters: Ola Robertson, Maynardville, Tenn.; Juanita Simpson, Knoxville, Tenn.; Dorothy Cortney, California; Betty Reddington, Coxton; Sue Turner, Indiana; and Patsy Fox, Verda; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Joe Howard officiating.
Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Landon Randall King

March 17, 2005
Landon Randall King, the 9-month-old son of Eva Howard Daniels, Evarts, died March 18, 2005, in Pike County.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donavan Michael Daniels; his grandparents, Gertrude Baker Howard and Andy 'Judge' Howard; and his uncle, Donnie Ewing.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a brother, Jared Wayne Daniels, Evarts; special grandparents, Marion and Jo Brock, Evarts; aunts and uncles: Sue Ewing and fiance, Mike Boggs, Highsplint; Patricia and Dallas Baird, Evarts; John Howard, Evarts; Virgil and Vickie Howard, Alabama; Jim and Janice Howard, Union Town; and special aunts: Lora Taylor, Debbie Wynn, Ketera Brock and Catie Winn.
Visitation was held Sunday at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Evarts Funeral Home with the Rev. John Luttrell and the Rev. Sonny Dean officiating.
Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Donald Lewis
formerly of Putney
March 9, 2005
Donald Lewis, 66, Corbin, formerly of Putney, died March 9, 2005, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin after a brief illness.
He was an engineer of 38 years for CSX and a member of the Howard Masonic Lodge 819.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Berta Peterson Lewis; and a sister, Ilene Vaughn.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Austin, North Carolina; seven cousins: Beulah Howard, Ada Hightower, Fredia Noe, Charles Hightower, David Hightower, Harold Howard and Larry Howard.
Visitation and Masonic rites were Thursday at Rich Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Thompson officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Rich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Trenton Farley Long
Harlan
March 8, 2005
Trenton Farley Long died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He was the newborn son of Amber Danielle Long, of Verda, and Ronnie Farley, of Evarts.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents: Jerry Long, Verda; Zola Farley, White Pine, Tenn.; Sheila McMillian, Evarts; and Ricky Farley, Evarts; and a great-grandmother, Alice Middleton, Verda.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday at the Long family home on Jones Creek.
Jeremy Long served as the pallbearer.
Evarts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Irene Wright McClelland
Dayhoit
March 15, 2005
Irene Wright McClelland, 90, Dayhoit, died March 15, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was a native of Letcher County, where she taught school for several years. She had worked for the Harlan County Health Department for 18 years and was co-owner of the New Harlan Theatre and the Wayne Drive-In. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Harlan United methodist Church for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. B.F. Wright and Frances Hall Wright; two brothers: Billy Wayne Wright and Edgar Wright; and one sister, Linda Ann Hood.
Survivors include her husband, Ed McClelland, Dayhoit; one daughter, Michael Howard and husband, Bob, San Moreno, Calif.; two grandchildren: Karen Howard Feirrera and husband, Matthew, Los Angeles; and Katherine Howard, Los Angeles; one brother, Ben Wright, Lexington; one sister, Iris Mudd, Louisville; and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Mount pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Harlan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Wingo officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Browning, James Bushnell, Mark Bushnell, Jonathan Heck, William Lee and Richard Scruggs.
Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
